I am not one to write reviews but this restaurant is in need of some serious employment help. My family that drove from the south side to come visit me and my fiance just sat there for over 90 minutes and left without any food. The 3 children got very anxious with no food being offered to them. The food we did get was the salad...but we never received our silverware after multiple times asking for it, We examined it (since we couldnt eat it) and realized the lettuce was rotten and had gone bad. When we approached the manager he just kept making excuses and blaming his staff. He proceeded to say that the staff didnt switch out any inventory when we told him the lettuce was bad. (blaming them again) We finally left and asked for something in return since we had to leave and babysit and now had no time to stop and even get dinner. He made us wait 5 more min and finally came out with a business card and wrote on the back 25% off next ticket. Seriously?? they had 3 tables max the entire time we were there. They were not busy at all. Dont waste your time. If i had read previous reviews i could of avoided a disappointing evening.

Eating here was the worst dining experience Ive ever had. We waited 20 minutes to be sat while it wasnt busy. It took another 15 minutes after we were sat to get our drink orders. Then about 10 minutes later everyone else at the table got their drink besides me. I reminded our out server 3 times that I still hadnt gotten my coffee and never received it until we were leaving. Food took roughly an hour to get to our table the mozzarella sticks we ordered were black and overcooked, two people never got the eggs and hash browns they ordered, my strawberry banana pancakes only had strawberry because they ran out of bananas. One person ordered nutella banana crepes, so he just got nutella on a crepe. We all had to ask out server three times for the correct food and we never got it. I will never be back.

If it was possible to rate it as zero stars, I would. The service was terrible. They ended up charging me for the wrong ticket and refused to refund the money, they wanted me to pay for my meals on top of that. They also refused to give us a discount so that we werent paying over what we had bought. The store manager said that he couldnt give out discounts, when we had just watched him give and entire family their meals for free because they put strawberries on the kids meal. My husband was trying to take my daughter to the bathroom and had to wait for what seemed like forever. The manager finally came out and my husband found stems and seeds and rolling papers sitting on the toilet paper dispenser. Needless to say, we just left and found a different bathroom for my 2 year old to use.

I dont understand how this particular IHOP gets only 3 1/2 starts. I go there 3 times a month & the staff is awesome! They are very friendly & Ive noticed how they work as a team. Ive only had bad service 1 time but that still doesnt effect the whole staff. The manager even have me a discount. I love the food & the service is great. Its mostly blacks that work there & for the people w ho think its "hood"... I must say... You must be racist because they are all polite & tend to your needs. Im a very picky person & if I had more than 1 bad experience, I would booty go back! I love this location. I cant really say much about people & their taste buds because everybody is different but my food has always been on point.

DO NOT GO HERE IF U ARE GLUTEN SENSITIVITY OR HAVE TO BE GLUTEN FREE!!!! The only gluten free item is a fruit side and 2 salads!!! I went here thinking I could have maybe have omelette or some type of meat but found out that they put GLUTEN in EVERYTHING but some salads and fruit. I mean eggs why put gluten in everything and not have more items that has no gluten. iHop was the only place open after my brothers concert ran late and I can only get a salad because maybe safe for me though the salad leaves are old so I will find if it was in a few hours. I got my salad it is days old!!! I mean the leaves are half rotten and not clean! I feel sick and is never eating are a iHop again!!!!

The place there is disgusting there was roaches on the tables and one of the servers told me that they had a roach problem but they wont do anything about it, and they told me too that they were told to tell the people if they saw a roach that they were crazy and there is nothing to worry about and we waited there for almost an hour waiting on our food and it came out cold and when i told them to send them back they just put into the microwave and gave it back to me and i talked to the manager and they told me that i would a discount but never got one, so by the end of the day i told the manager that this place a terrible place to eat.

We spent 2 hours in here to only get 1 refill on the all you can eat pancakes. The waiter told us 3 times that he was going to bring us more water before we actually got it. Our waiter tripped over the rubber mat and almost fell the manager came out right behind him and stepped over it. Several other employees stepped over it. The manager came back and tried to kick it back he seen that it wasnt but just kept going. We have been to every IHOP in our area and many others and this one on west 38th street is the worst one ever. We definitely will not be coming back.

We came in and were seated quickly, we ordered and it took over 45 minutes to get our drinks and part of our food. My son ordered country fried steak and eggs and got ham and eggs. I ordered a side of fresh fruit and was told 3 times it was comming and then told they were out of fruit. I gave the server my debit card to pay the bill and he says he forgot and ot took another 20 minutes to get ky receipt and card back! Very bad service and wont be retuning anytime soon. Its a shame because the food was very good. And yes I did tip just not very much!

This visit on 7-18-17 was sub par. 15 minute wait before drink order was taken. After food arrived another 5 minute wait for butter and syrup, now pancakes are cold. Asked for Pepsi refill, she brought Dr. Pepper after telling her my drink was a Pepsi (server was a late teens/early 20s black female, I myself am early/mid 30s black female). In addition she messed up the table behind me orders and charged them for someone elses order. Previous visit 4-5 months before was so much better (server then was a mid/late 20s white female.)

Ive been to this IHOP many times. Let me tell you something the staff is terrible. The first time Ive been to this Ihop it took more than one hour, I kid you not, one hour to get the food. People that came after me were getting their food before I did. I got angry and I shouted at the staff when I got my food, I ended up with a 50 percent discount. The food is really good though. I think the management should start hiring better employees and not 16 year old Mexican kids
