The Positive: The greeting from the hostess (young lady) was probably the most warm and welcoming that weve ever experienced at any restaurant. The decor and overall atmosphere were top notch. This place is very well put together. The Negative: Although I was extremely excited to see the menu claim local and fresh ingredients... I was disappointed to receive a $10 gourmet burger that was very obviously a frozen patty. It was to be cooked medium, but arrived charred and very dry with that familiar filler ingredient taste of a frozen patty. Sampling the rest of the food that my family ordered... I discovered more of the same overall quality. Although it didnt appear (based on the lack of a Dinner crowd) that they did a lot of business... Its no excuse for using cheaper ingredients or freezing them to save money while advertising "fresh and local." To the owner/chef: Your restaurant is genuinely unique and very inviting. However, the food quality could be greatly improved by ordering smaller quantities (fresh) based on previous business patterns. If you run out of certain things, you run out. Your wait staff, although very pleasant... left the food and never returned for refills or to check on the food after delivery. We sat with dry drinks most of the dinner and never were asked how the food was. This was a serious disappointment as I wouldve loved to have talked to you directly.

Terrible experience. Got seated at obviously dirty table that the hostess watched me brush off some of the crumbs and said nor did anything to clean it, then took a boo 10 minutes tlfpr someone to get out drink order, another 10 to get drinks which included my water, we ordered while she was there sat over 45 minutes was done with appetizer long time ago and got to be after closing time before I chased someone down to cancel order and get check for drinks. Cant comment on food because we never got any after being there over an hour and a half.

We have eaten there 4 or 5 times, taken guests, and have Never been disappointed. The atmosphere is lovely, quaint, updated, clean and really pretty. The food has been excellent...we have had lunch and dinner and Easter Brunch. We think it is a great value for such delicious food and atmosphere. The waiters have been very friendly as well. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant...Great ones like these are hard to find in the Midwest!!

I brought my father-in-law in so he could try the good food. Ive had issues with poor service and wrong orders in the past but I keep thinking the next time will be different. Unfortunately, this time was not much different. Our server was friendly but not very present and overall we felt rushed to leave and my sandwich was not made as requested. But on a positive note, the food they have is of good quality and tasty.

Fantastic food, service, and atmosphere. THE place to take a date for a nicer dinner in Greencastle. Definitely has some non-traditional takes on food/side pairings, but you have to give them a shot - they will be a pleasant surprise. Wine selection is significantly above average for the area. Prices are somewhat steep, but worth the atmosphere. Staff are fantastic! Dont forget to try the strawberry pizza!

Lots of options here including an upscale bar next door (Swizzle Stick) filled with Chicago Cubs memorabilia and great atmosphere. This place has undergone several changes in the last year including a new kitchen, new chef, menu and other things that make the experience worth your time.

The most elegant restaurant in town, hands down. Connecting bar is always great. But I just dont have the experience to appreciate truly gourmet food; I just dont! Menu is a little to fancy for me at times and prices could be maybe a bit lower.

To the idiots that think it is high priced, go back to McDonalds. The service was outstanding. The high quality food while appearing to be simple had depth in flavor and everything was prepared perfectly. We will be back.

This has the potential to be a good restaurant, but the service and food are lacking, in addition to being over priced. Also, late last year, during an inspection, Almost Home had several health/food handling violations.

Food was good but not amazing. Pub chips underwhelming. Ginger-tini did not taste like there was any ginger. Atmosphere was pleasant. Staff was nice. They were busy so service was a little slow but they were apologetic.

Food is good, service is good, however everytime I take my wife she gets sicks (allergies). I did notice some mold (black in color) growing in some areas of the walls. Too bad, cant go in there anymore.

Pretty nice dining (although very much in the range of what youd expect in rural Indiana). Food is good, space is clean and comfortable. Full bar attached. Serves local and seasonal food.

The "fanciest" place to eat in town and the food is consistently good. We come here often and enjoy it. Try the strawberry pie for dessert (or any dessert, it will be good).
