I had a leye gift card and decided to go here and check it out. I am not really a fan of tapas, but might as well use the gift card. We thought we had to wait in line, but the place was pretty empty, though it started to fill up the later it got. The food was decent but I say skip the noodle dishes. There is much better ramen at other places. The chicken tapas was disappointing, but the sushi rolls were quite tasty. Actually, of all the dishes we tried, the seafood based ones were better than the others. I suppose it makes sense since they are using Shaws kitchen. I must knock it some since it was a pricey meal and the quality did not warrant such a price tag. tldr: Go for early or late light dinner before movie or Gameworks. Stick with seafood tapas, dont get noodles or non-seafood tapas.

First timer a couple nights ago... loved the atmosphere! Huge shout out to Bill, Dave, & Stephanie. Thanks for the VIP treatment :)) Adorable covered patio with unique lighting. The restaurant itself was small, but quaint. We chose to sit inside since the windows were open to the patio. We ordered 3 tacos (crying tiger shrimp, crispy chicken & a steak taco). Demolished the Volcano Roll --raw tuna, avocado and jalapeno. Friend had the Ramen Burger. Everything was delicious, but the biegnets, words cant even describe. Think mini cinnamon donut holes with devine dark chocolate melted inside!!! They brought these out, but I dont even see them on the menu! Definitely will be back.

It was all around a great experience at Tokio Pub. Our Server (Younger blonde haired female) was so personable and engaging and was great tonight. Also the General Manager Bill was very personable and genuinly cared for our feedback and was very inviting. The atmosphere and decor was great. Every menu item that we had tried was amazing as well. The tacos, sushi, noodles and stir fry were all amazing, as well as great selection of beverages and cocktails. This establishment is honestly one of the best I have been to in a very long time and I will defanitely be back many more and will surely recommend this place to my friends and family. Tokio Pub is amazing!

This place is an interesting little bar/restaurant attached to the side of Shaws Crabhouse. The menu is pretty diverse and interesting; some Maki, a Ramen burger, tacos, and some rice/noodle dishes. Everything we had, tacos, a rice bowl with spicy chicken, and the Ramen burger, was excellent. The Ramen burger was especially great. The only bad part about our visit was the service. Not sure if the server was just slammed or what but our service was pretty slow and we were largely left to fend for ourselves in terms of making sure our drinks arrived from the bar and our water remained refilled.

my appetizer came out with everyone elses meals. The godzilla make tiny slivers of fish on, only legally passable for sushi. my ramen came out 20 minutes after everyone else had their food. I will usually eat whats in front of me, so that I dont waste food, however I made an exception this time. the noodles tasted like uncooked dough. I cannot recommend this restaurant, I did notice other tables having a great time with their saki bombs, maybe you need to be drunk to enjoy the food.

so the flavors were good, but everything you order is extremely salty. the ramen soup, the fried chicken and the fries were over the top salty. i paid $14 for an ENTREE that came with 3 tiny fried chicken pieces and the side was MINDED cucumbers in the smallest bowl possible. im not even over exaggerating on how small the portions are here. you can even look up the sizes on google images. the sushi pieces are tinier than bite size. so so salty

Perfect vibe, great outdoor seating. The menu is eclectic and changes often. Decent selection of wine and beer. Taco specials are a great deal. Service is hit-or-miss, but the servers themselves are always pleasant and accommodating. Managers are always present and walking the floor talking to guests. A must-visit of youre looking for a quick bite or a meal with friends. Sit outside if at all possible!

Over the last two months, I have been here 4 times (driving out from the city) thanks to their amazing monthly birthday special. Every person seated at the table will get a gift certificate in dollars for the number of years the birthday is being celebrated. Service is friendly and great, the apps and sushi were good, and the ramen burger is a definite must have.

Food is very good and staff is friendly. Definitely not a place to go for a quick bite and the noise level can get pretty high. This location shares the upstairs bathroom located in the adjoining Shaws restaurant... Be VERY cautious as you walk inside from Tokio Pub into the Shaws bar area, as the floor on the Shaws side is horribly oily/ slippery. Gross!

Modern fusion of Asian cuisine and some Asian flare on some non asian dishes. All in all not bad, the happy hour special is very generous half off items in red on menu. Some of the dishes can be salty due to the combination of flavors, so if you have an issue with high sodium make sure to ask the server which dishes are better for lower sodium.

Definitely a novel experience when it comes to restaurants. While the "cook it yourself" approach can be intimidating (since youre given raw meat), its actually kind of fun. The simple and modern decor is great and the service is really nice. Highly recommend for couples looking for a fun dinner that strays from the traditional restaurant.

This is a nice place to grab lunch or gather with friends and co-workers after work. When the weather is nice, sit on the covered patio. Tokio Pub uses the same kitchen as Shaws so you know you are getting the freshest food. This is like Asian tapas where you can order several small plates for yourself or to share.

My husband and I love Tokio Pub. We have always had good service, the restaurant manager even bused our table on a busy night. The edamame with the garlic sauce is so amazing - if I were at home eating it I would have liked the bowl clean the sauce is that good! Everything weve had on the menu is delicious!

Really cool and mellow vibe! Atmosphere is great! A nice social place that inspires meeting people! Great service and food is really good too! A different spin on bar food making this place unique and original with its seafood selection! Good amount of other choices for meat lovers too! A must visit!!

Ive always enjoyed the bottomless ramen here, but recently we tried some kind of teriyaki nacho thing, I dont even remember what it was called, but it was out of this world. I will definitely be ordering it again- and recommending it, as soon as I remember what it was called...

I stopped by for take out lunch and this is the best kept secret in town. The food was great and the staff was very friendly. Dont let the low key signage fool you. Its next to Shaws! Get in there and spread the word. Support Schaumburg businesses!

Fun place to come and hangout with your friends. Good ambiance. The bathroom location is weird though. I thought Ramen Burger was going to be epic... turns out the noodles were soggy so... oh well. If I were to come back, I would order something else.
