After attending a high School Basketball game last night my wife and I were looking forward to a nice meal at the Huddle House. When we went in, there were patrons at three tables. As we entered the hostess/waitress yelled across the room for us to have a seat anywhere. We selected a table and waited for at least 15 minutes and no one had come to our table or any other table. At this time my wife stood up and ask the young lady if she had forgotten that we were there. She replied that she was working her way around to our table. After waiting at least another 15 to 20 minutes, a couple at a table near us who had their drinks but it was very apparent that they had not had the opportunity to order, got up and walked out. Another group of three patrons had come in and sat near us and at that time ask us if we had ordered. I advised them that we had not seen anyone let alone have a drink or order and that we were walking out also. We go to the Huddle House in Williamsville, IL. and enjoy it very much. The employees at the Huddle House in Highland, IL. could not have cared if the place was full or empty. It was very apparent that they would have preferred it to be empty. What a shame to get such poor service in such a nice place to dine.

My family and I eat here a couple times during the summer because it is the only place open at this hour. Service in the past was ok at most. Tonight I ordered a Philly cheese steak sandwich and when it was brought to the table it had hardly any meat. The waitress was rude and didnt place the proper order for my grandmothers eggs. After waiting 30 minutes or more for our meals this is the service we receive. I had to wait an additional 15 minutes to get more meat for my sandwich and we were never offered drink refills. Ridiculous... Also try employing more than 1 waitress, that may help out a bit....

Have been to three other huddle house locations within the surrounding areas and this one by far the worst. We have tried this place out 3 times since they opened about 3 years ago hoping at some point they would improve. Nope. Food is way over priced for quality. Chili tastes like old canned chili, burger was so over done all that was left was char. Maybe the day shift is better at serving breakfast food but the night shift could give an ish less about quality service. Pathetic.

Stained seats, dirt on bathroom walls and floor, horrible coffee (watery) and my eggs yolks were stiff and green when I ordered basted easy (runny). Waitress was nice and we were quick to be seated. Try a different one in the area. Oh, and my plate was sharp due to broken chips on the edges. :(

I tried the new pralin pecan pancake which was very good. The bacon I ordered was terrible, over cooked. I told the waitress and she offered to have more made but I didnt want to wait even longer for more burned bacon. I was charged for the burnt bacon sitting on my table anyway.

I found waitress to be excellent and anxious to help us. Only thing I would say that I feel needs to be done is wipe with soap and water the menus and its pages. Kids fingers really get sticky and make a mess. Then parents fold menu and put it back in place for next customer.

The food is ok at best, however for a place known for waffles, pancakes, and other breakfast food they are ALWAYS out of something. Its like ihop being out of pancake mix. Ridiculous. And the service is always mediocre. Kids eat free Monday and Tuesday

Bad service. Bad food - greasy. Grill not cleaned - grease on hash browns was black. Did not get all of order. Cook and waitress went out back for a break as soon as they served the food. 20 minutes for drink to come to the table.

We came in for breakfast in the morning. Place was clean, wait staff was pleasant and attentive and the food/coffee was good. I recommend. There were a lot of negative reviews, I dont understand why, it wasnt that bad at all.

I havent tried any food other than their breakfast dishes, but if the rest is anything like it, their food is amazing. Service is reasonably, Only complaint Ive ever had is once in a while their coffee is a little strong.
