Ive been around a long time and had a lot of burgers, but Burger Local has what may have been the best restaurant burger ever. No joke, cooked perfectly, tasted fantastic. Big Burger, wasnt sure if I could eat it all but it went down real easy. The sides were equally good, without stealing the spotlight. My wife had the onion rings, which are big sweet onions with thick batter and deep fried to a golden just crispy enough without over cooking. Served with Chipotle ranch for dipping yum. I had the salad, served in a large cup, but packed with spring greens, chopped veggies and just the right amount of dressing. Atmosphere was clean and good, a tad on the loud side which is normal for a sports style pub. Service was phenomenal. The value for the price is very fair, Ive spent more money at lesser establishments. Its not cheap here, but you get a lot of bang for the buck. They had many attractive menu items, we had to start with the burger though, since after all... its name is Burger Local. In summary, Im looking forward to going again and my advice to ownership or management, dont change a thing and youll be around for a long time.

Rest of party enjoyed their food for the most part. I didnt really care for the short rib burger. Bland tasting. Pierogis dumplings seemed to be flash fried. Uncooked dough on inside. Salad that was offered with homemade ranch dressing was basic ranch, and way too much dressing for a soup bowl serving of salad. Atmosphere was nice. There was a lot of staff on hand to take care of everything. Wasnt expecting only ketchup and mustard on table and no other offerings. Will try again and see if other food items are better. But must say, a little too high priced for a burger, served with your choice of fries or salad.

The food might be good here, but I wouldnt know. We went here to sit outside on the patio, which was mostly empty when we arrived. However, seating our party of 5 would have necessitated pushing two of the patio tables together, which apparently violates some of the most sacred laws of this establishment. We were told wed have to wait ~40 minutes for one of the big tables to open up. Since this went against common sense, we went elsewhere. Glad we did, when we passed by an hour+ later, the two big tables were still occupied by the same people, so we might still be waiting.

We like Burger Local, they have great burgers. We had fried pickles which usually are super - these had structural issues with the crunchy crush and the piping hot pickles. Maybe thats inherent to fried pickles, idk. I also had onion rings which were slightly dark. The onions were great but the batter had that slight bitter edge. My main was the tacos of the day - al pastor. Very good and the right size (tacos were about 3" across). The lady had the hangover helper. We couldnt finish it. All in all a good meal, well be coming back.

This is not a place for cheap burgers. It is a place for awesome burgers. We had the Portabella croquet for an appetizer and a 10 oz black and blue burger. The burger was cooked perfectly and came with way too many fries. Dont be on a diet when you come here. They have many craft beers and my only complaint would be that there is no description of the beers. It is very busy and noisy inside so I choose the quiet outside patio for my burger time.

Went here on Saturday and waited over an hour for a table. It was worth the wait! Had pretzel bites app and they were delicious, warm and soft. Had double diner burger and fries. Both were amazing. Other party members had the Local burgers - and they too loved their burgers and sides. Service was also excellent. Very loud reverberant bar atmosphere so a little difficult to talk. We will be back again!

We went in on a Saturday evening. There were two empty table visible from the Hostess station. She looked at us with our two year old daughter and said it would be an hour wait. We opted not to wait, and as we left, another group of adults came in. They were seated immediately. They dont take reservations, so I know that didnt explain their immediate seating. Not a place to take kids.

This star is given because this restaurant is in a convenient place and has nice decor. That is the only only attribute to this restaurant. It is loud, noisy, the food stinks (low low quality meat and fry oil), and the wait staff has an attitude. Id say Walk On By! Unless you want to go inside and see what it looks like. But then walk on out.

The food here is awesome! Lobster deviled eggs, you say? Great burger options so its hard to pick just one? Delicious cocktails? All of the above. I even appreciate the interior design which was clearly decided upon not only for the aesthetic, but also for its positive effects on the sound quality and atmosphere of this restaurant.

Went here on a whim when waiting for the train into Chicago. We ended up really enjoying our time! I got the Mac n Cheese with lots of intresting and yummy fixins. It was delicious, prices were fair, and the service was excellent. Were from out of town, but will definitely return when we come back to visit!

Unique food and drinks. Friendly atmosphere. Great servers. Owner managed. All things combine for a great experience. Be warned, however...it is not conducive to quiet conversation. There are several community tables and the wait can be erratic. It is definitely worth it though. Try it...you will love it.

Our server, whom Ive had a few times now, sorry I forgot his name (taller guy, blonde hair, facial hair) is hands down one of the best servers Ive ever had. Attentive at the right times, great suggestions, personable. Food is good, atmosphere is cool, service was great.

Very different from there previous restaurant here! Very cool atmosphere. Great cocktails and beer selection. We tried the tots and wings for appetizers. Both were awesome. Burgers were great too. Mac and cheese was also excellent. I will be back in the very near future.

Great burgers and drinks. Sure, it is a little higher priced than your standard burger place, but you are paying for the quality of the food. Be prepared to wait for a table, but it is always worth the wait. It can be a little loud, but thats the social atmosphere.

Just went for my first time tonight. Omg! Best burger/ onion rings and Mac n cheese I have ever had. I have been to kumas corner multiple times and before tonight was my favorite place. Move aside kumas corner, the burger local has the best burger in Chicagoland area!

They serve an awesome hamburger. The atmosphere is loud. Unfortunately we were placed near the door going to the patio and the traffic going in and out and the slamming of the door became annoying. If you love a great burger served loud then this is great place

Ok food , I always get carry out, and with this place they suck on the phones, even if you tip, third time I was been left on the phone being told they will have a server take my order. Long story short, dont waste your time with this place.
