Should probably rename this restaurant to "RoaNope". I believe in second chances...and Ive given this restaurant three (two?...Ive dined there three total times). My friends and I are always looking for places to try for lunch around the loop. When Roanoke first opened, we gave them a shot and all of us agreed that they had some growing pains to get over. The food was mediocre and the service was terrible. On the second try, the service was much improved, but the food was still not nearly worth the premium price they were charging. My most recent visit will likely be my last... The service was terrible, as was the food. I ordered one of the specials, which was a shaved lamb sandwich.....it was barely edible. It was luke warm and so fatty that it was impossible to bite through. I honestly didnt know it was possible to get such a fatty cut of lamb in a restaurant. At any rate...I wont be giving them another chance to disappoint me in the future. Diners beware...eat at your own risk.

I have to tell you that my experience on both times wasnt that great. 1. I was at the bar and this girl poured a glass of beer all over me, which is an accident and I can totally understand. Then she said she wont charge for my drinks (2 Macallan). But at the end she may have forgot but I still paid. 2. I was with a date and we have been given half cooked chicken and it was still raw in the middle. The waiter saw that it was not properly done and he said he will take it off my bill but at the end i was still charged. Since I was with someone for the first time i did not want to complain and i paid for it. The place is nice and new but I do not think I would want to go back.

I really, really wanted to like this place. Unfortunately, the food is just about average. The decor is lovely and the service was really good. I dont think Ill be back though. Just lacked that oomph with the food, which is the major deciding factor for me. Prices were surprisingly decent for the loop but some of portions were pretty small. If you eat a lot like me, you might need to go somewhere else!

Busy during the week but quite on the weekends and holidays. However, perfect for a holiday brunch. Doug our server was knowledgeable and energetic. The cinnamon rolls were awesome but a bit small to "share" and steak and egg breakfast was perfectly cooked. Brad the GM was nice enough to stop at by to make sure everything was as we liked it.

Excellent place, we had brunch for my best friends Bachelorette party and it was so accommodating and delicious food! This place seems like a hidden treasure as it is Saturday it wasnt packed or loud with lots of people. It was an amazing experience. Thank Roanoke for putting up with us and making our weekend getaway so wonderful!

Nice atmosphere and good quality food. They are rather deceptive though in not advising you up upcharges. Friend was asked if he wanted bacon and jalapenos on his mac and cheese. Wasnt told thatd be an additional $6! Thats pretty shifty. $3 upcharge for the salad instead of fries and wasnt told? Again, shifty.

The Roanoke Club, W Madison St, Chicago, IL 60602 is located inside of the Residence Inn in the Loop. Great ambiance and layout here in this restaurant and bar off the main lobby on the second floor. Good food and service and its a great space for groups going out for drinks and a light meal.

Had brunch here before going to the theatre - it was one of the best meals Ive ever had. Anthony (our waiter) was great, and his recommendations were spot on. I had the Prime Rib Oscar Benedict and it was amazing. Well absolutely come back, next time we go to a show.

I visited for lunch. The food was excellent. I ordered the prime burger medium rare. It was cooked well and tasted great. The have really good fries too. Someone also ordered the prime rib dip and he said it was excellent. Defintaely a place I will revisit.

The meatballs. Lets talk about the meatballs. They were out of this world. Once the meatballs came out I wanted nothing else to eat. Burger was good and cocktails were standard for a downtown hotel. Bathrooms are upstairs and may be an issue for guests.

Nice location near our hotel. Service was very, very, slow. We came at 8:15 pm, ordered food at 8:30 pm and the food came at 9 pm. We werent sure if the waiter was new but there was no sense of urgency. Food was the best part of the visit.

Service was great, food was quite tasty, however the design and decor leaves a tremendous amount to be desired. Too many TVs, non-existent music, awkward layout, strange placement of promotional signs. Too many other good options around.

The burger was excellent! This place is upscale and quite busy. For lunch we had to eat at the bar in front of where they cook. It was really fun. The food is very good. Loved the chips and dip. Service was great. This is a must try.

The overall feel was modern and well designed. We sat outside in the small patio area and they had a good selection of beers and wine. Food was cooked well, tasty, and quickly delivered. Took roughly 45-50 minutes for lunch.

Ordered a starter as an entree which turned out great(fried chicken). Everyone enjoyed their orders. Group ordered pizza and sandwiches, and both are very happy with that order. Went in around 1 pm to avoid the lunch rush.

We ordered from here twice for pickup as we were staying in the Marriott, the food is fairly good and the prices are reasonable if a little high for the quality, but for a hotel restaurant you could do much worse.

Great food at a reasonable price. If youre eating in, Roanokes nice decor works very well for a business meal or just catching up with a friend. They also offer takeout and food was still very good.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere, sophisticated yet relaxed and friendly. My steak was amazing and cooked perfectly to the level I requested. Soup, salad, and sides equally good.

I went to the Roanoke Club for a party. I restaurant is very nice, but it got a bit cramped with 200 people standing around. The drinks were reasonable priced.

Their old fashioned and porchetta eggs benedict are both terrific. Ambience and service is also quite nice. A must visit for brunch or dinner!

Great lunch spot in The Loop. PLT: Sit at the bar. Service will be quicker and youre almost always guaranteed a seat.

The bar staff seemed annoyed that we were there. Good gets a five but the service made me give a 2 stars rating
