My husband and two boys went a week or so ago. During the day and they werent the least bit busy. A good twenty minutes went by and no one had even come to ask us if we wanted anything to drink, then another 10 for the drinks to make it to us. Then! About 15 minutes later, Our actual waitress came over to the table and took our order and was completely rude. It took an hour for food to get to our table. We ate and my husband had to go track down the waitress to get our check. We got the check and we have her our card to run. She left and was gone for another 10 minutes with our card! Needless to say, my husband and I will not be going back to this place because if they cant handle themselves while they are slow, Lord only knows what they are like when its busy. The staff is rude and Ive definitely had better pizza from other mellow mushrooms.

What happened??? This used to be a fun, friendly, family-oriented place. It was our go-to for so many reasons. Now, we have just as many reasons NOT to go. Really poor, unfriendly service, NO KIDS MENU ANY MORE, staple menu items removed (why call it Mellow Mushroom if you REMOVE the mushroom from the menu), and that family-friendly format is all gone. Theyre trying to be something that doesnt belong anywhere near this neighborhood. Theres no desire nor no need for a hipster joint in that area. This was a favorite of ours for more than 2 years. Tonight was our last visit. Such a shame.

Ive been a loyal Mellow patron for 15+ years in Asheville & Atlanta. Every experience has been a pleasant one! Fun environment, staff, great music, etc. When I come with family, we really enjoy sitting in the tree when its available. My daughter & I tried the Holy Shiitake Pie for the first time today. Its our new favorite!! If youre a garlic & mushroom fan, check it out! And as always, I finished all my crust. Its so wonderful at Mellow Mushroom. I look forward to seeing the place after they finish adding on the new section. Thanks Veronica for serving us :D

Nothing to write home about. Have been told by several to try MM, but I dont get the hype. Maybe its just not our thing. Another review mentioned their house special never coming out very hot, and we just had the same experience. Undercooked dough, chalky cheese, and barely warm toppings. Glad we tried it for ourselves, but well stick with Peace Love & Pizza!

A man yelled at my daughter because her and her friends "goofing around" he could have politely asked them to quite down but instead he insulted them and when I called to complain he refered to my child and her friends as "dumb." Also during the call he said "I dont believe that this is even a mother." Needless to say they need new workers.

double check before eating your food because i found a piece of short hair stuck to my cheese. to make sure it was not mine i tugged on it a little and it was literally between the cheese. manager did not even show up to apologize. he sent a 20% off next visit with the server. terrible customer service and hygiene of the entire restaurant.

The pizza is really good but the place is usually crowded so the wait is very long they have a cool table that has a tree structure around it with a hole to get through to the table it is really cool if youre lucky enough to get it. I would recommend the shitake mushroom one if you like mushrooms the cheese pizza is also very good.

Dont order a pizza to go. Their house specialty pizza is usually not very hot, and both the crust and the bacon that comes on the top tend to get a little to soggy for me. Ive been burned by them more than once (but definitely not by any hot bubbly cheese,) and it wont happen again.

Waited an hour for service. We were told a half hour. Nobody had an apologetic attitude or even a kind attitude towards us. No kids menu... rude hostess. Maybe we just came at a bad time..but if we had known about the wait we would have left and gone somewhere else.

This location is great for families. When the patio is open, there is outdoor space with picnic tables for kids to run around and play football or tag. We just had a birthday party with several families and the staff here wad exceptionally friendly and accommodating.

Pizza and Beer. Great combination of both. ☆If you have ever been here and been sick of loud kids check out the 21 and over area 1/17 Been eating at the Schroon since 91 and they definitely got it right this time.
