TATIA L. OLDS
Was here a couple days sho in the evening, Alicia I believe was the name of our lazy ass forgetful server. We were seated quickly and handed menus and told or server would be here shortly. It took about five minutes then she arrived ion the seen. We ordered or drinks, noting elaborate, Ice water no lemon, and my daughter had a strawberry lemon aide I believe. Im on a restricted diet hence the water. It took Alicia 15 minutes to bring our drinks and take our order. However, I was forced to have a drink with sugar because their water tasted like ass. I mean SERIOUSLY I wanted to hit someone. That water tasted as if they fished it from the comode!!! She says it came from the coke tap, but I believe that heiffa putt something in my water. Ive never tasted water like that in my life, not even bad tap water tastes that bad!!! That water had my mouth tasting so horrible I had to put a Listerine tab in my mouth. Our order came out in a timely manner, but the potatoe skins were so hard I choked on a piece that popped to the back of my mouth when I bit it. Had to return those. The mahi-mahi was very good my daughter had ordered the buffalo chicken wrap the wrap was so hard the chicken was so dry she didnt eat it a waste of my money! I also ordered some fried mushrooms that were very good as well as the queso buffalo chicken dip. However, the waitress never really made it back to our table until I flagged her down to get a to go container and the bill. The service was horrible when it came to her and some of the food was not that great as well as that nasty-ass water. I was however, very impressed with the mahi-mahi that I went back today. I wish I had taken the time to get the young ladys name who was my server today. She was very good very attentive; my experience today was very different and I ordered only what I knew to be good. Although, the mahi-mahi was nowhere near as good as it was the other evening and the portion of fish was so much smaller than the other night. Im totally convinced that that witch put something in my water a couple of nights ago, because I ordered water today forgetting about the water from the other night and it was perfectly fine, to where I even got a to go cup to take some with me. I hated to tip Alicia at all but it kind of felt as if she was trying at the end to take that Sourpuss off of her face and do her job so I gave her the minimum tip. Actually no I didnt, my Daughter pointed out I could choose other; so I did. I hit other and gave her $5 my tab was $70 she missed out on a good tip. Wish my waitress from today had been my waitress that night I gave her the max today 22% but my tab was only $41 with the tip. I really should have thought to hit other and give her $10. She was very good at what she does, and not just with me. I noticed it with all the tables on the patio. Which may I add, the establishment needs to put some bug zappers or some citronella candles outside on that patio I was getting bit up!!! Wont be returning anytime soon, to inconsistent.

Upon entering we were immediately greeted by a smiling enthusiastic waitress Miss Jordan . She quickly sat us and took drink orders. The atmosphere was very inviting with a mixture of different people dining. I counted about 25 -42 inch tvs and a 60 inch TV above a fireplace. The tables were clean and the manager came to greet us and we expressed our anticipation for this place to open close to us than the McDonough one. Hubby ordered a shock tip on draft and I ordered a house margrita. The drinks were great. Miss Jordan helped us order and was very informed about the menu items and answered our questions in detail about the items. The music wasnt loud but just right..soft rockish... but not over bearing. The establishment smelled clean and staff seem very attentive to customers.... Bar was well stocked and seemed very inviting...food came out within 10 mins. Very tasty and warm. Food tasted great! Hubby got wings 20 pc but was able to divide up into 4 different flavors.... daughter got crispy chicken tdc...as appetizer we got nacho mountain (sub the chips for tater tots) so delicious. .... Omg the portions are amazing. Wings were right amount of crispy and not too greasy... the wings were wet with sauce and the flavor was just right. Miss Jordan ensured we didnt need for anything as she checked on us attentively. My honest opinion is this is a great restaurant slash bar for anyone...kid friendly as well...not over priced for the portions...great atmosphere and attentive staff.... I am confident hubby and I will be returning here often....date night, family get together, or just a night out. We was very pleased with service, quality, and price.

Poor customer service and lack luster food. Dropped by to pick up dinner for my son and I this evening. The hostess was otherwise preoccupied with everything else than seating all the patrons that came in.; so there was a line of people at the door to a slow evening. However the cafe was empty maybe 5 customers inside but they took 15 mins to take my to go order. It took her another 10 mins to finds pen for me to sign my receipt because she was otherwise preoccupied answering phone call. There was nothing special about the food. Lacked flavor; my Cuban sandwich was drowned in mustard it ruined the sandwich and the chips that accompanied them were tasteless and overdone. The plantains under the sandwich made the bread soggy. My sons BBQ Wings were wet and decent sized, however the lemon pepper wings were dry and hard also overdone. Amy son liked his steak fries. There should not have been a wait because there was more than enough staff there for a slow night. If the hostess was busy someone else should have taken my order for to go orders to reduce the wait time. I went there on a friends recommendation of great food but I was highly disappointed in the lack of creativity and imagination of the menu selection and customer service. When I go to a restaurant to eat I want my tastebuds to have an experience or else why not just cook at home. I should taste a uniqueness in your dishes even if its just wings and a sandwich they should be a distinctive taste that makes it yours. Hence, allowing you to stand out from your competitive neighbors. I probably Will not be going back. At least not to that branch of Three Dollar Cafe.

When I first walked in, I was excited about this place. Vast layout with more than enough TVs. They even flawlessly incorporated the ducts and the rafters into their decor. Not to mention that their wings and shrimp combo was delicious! But why three stars?! In the 50 minutes I was there I was served one glass of sweet tea while I watched as tables stayed a mess from previous guest. I offered twice in the beggining of my visit to allow her to step away and assist her other table and a co-workers table. Declining the opportunity to be a team player while biting at the bit to rush and correct the mistake the kitchen made with her table. Besides the initial double check after I sat back down, the only other times I was checked on was while she was back peddling out the door asking "are you ok, sir?" and when she reiterated to me about my refill. There was a woman in plain clothes, most likely an employee, that was serving alcohol and food to guest. With an establishment that has less than half of its seats filled on a Monday night, why isnt your staff, that are on the clock, maintaining their place of income? Might I also add, the GM was walking around seating people and making sure everyone is happy, but couldnt get his staff to do all of what they were hired for. Three Dollar Cafe, I give you a 5 star for food, a 4 star for your restaurant and 0 on your customer service/team cohesion.
