I wandered into this clean, pretty little cafe off the Marietta Square a couple of weeks after it opened. Ive been back at least ten times since, including hosting a small business event there. I call it "innovative barbeque," but its so much more: wholesome, pretty, tasty food at a great price, all prepared on-site, with just a couple of exceptions (tater tots and Otis Spunkmeyer cookies). This is *not* a heat and serve place, like so many "Southern-style restaurants"! The dessert menu varies and each and every one has been delectable. BEST sweet potato pie in the Universe! My favorites are the house salad with smoked chicken and white sauce, the macaroni fritters with tomato gravy (Um, YUM), and the occasional "PigSty" special, a whole organic sweet potato with barbeque, sour cream and one of DTCs sauces. Also, the owners are sweet and work very hard to create a bright, enjoyable experience. The walls are bright red and feature art by local artists, there are tables outside and take-out picnics for a sunny day, and the owners cater and host lots of fun events, like dessert tastings and trick-or-treating on Halloween. They also have several gluten-free, dairy-free and vegetarian options for our tricky family. BJ and Stoney will take great care of you! Heck, I am eating there today with a friend. See you at DTC!

I have been wanting to try this place for awhile, and I do not know why I didnt go sooner. Amazing food, the menu is simple but everything I had was very good. I had a barbeque chicken sandwich, the rub was nice and smokey and didnt really need sauce. They have three sauces (aioli, mustard base, sweet) that are all great if you need them though. They also use the rub on homemade chips, and they dont overdo it with salt. The spicy baked beans are very unique and tasty, and they do not lie about the heat. Their special for the day I went, highly recommended, was a barbeque risotto that had a mix of parmesan and a basil sauce in it. Their banana creme brulee is a delicious take on banana pudding. They also have different kinds of sodas that are worth trying as well. The service was outstanding, and they recommended just the right things. Definitely try this place if youre hungry in the square.

There simply arent enough stars to rate this place. First the atmosphere was perfect before, like going to visit family for dinner, and now they added outdoor seating which is great! The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, again just like family. Now the food is where they really shine, but its hard to nail down the best thing in the menu as the soups and dessert change almost daily. Everything is made fresh and with ingredients that are in season. The smoked meats are flavorful without the need for sauce(made in house) but as with any barbeque when added put it over the top. I cant forget their burgers either! Juicy flavor in every bite. Stuborn brand soda and fresh to order French press coffee as well as fresh tea to drink. Im sure there is much more Im forgetting so go try it for yourself. Just bring your appetite.

I have been eating at DTC since it opened in 2015, and I am always pleased with the food and friendly ambiance. My daughter and husband have celiac disease, diagnosed 13 years ago, and I have been an advocate and mentor for newly diagnosed celiacs for more than a decade. They are both highly sensitive to any gluten ingredients or contamination - even microscopic! - so I am thrilled that they can eat safely with no reaction at DTC. Stoney and BJ are always helpful and careful to make sure they have options, that they do not get ill, and that we delight in our food! The Valentines dinner was **exceptional**, too. Thanks, DTC!

All around great: Homemade cucumber/pickles before ordering - impressive. Sweet tea - perfect for me (not too sweet). BBQ sauce - excellent (Georgia Red). Ambiance - ideal (artistic/open-minded). Staff - polite, knowledgeable. Location - convenient (way closer than Fox Brothers). One minor suggestion to consider: I liked the tots, but fries are my go-to with BBQ. My wife and I will definitely be going back for our BBQ fixes; well try to save room for the tasty-lookin desserts next time, too. Thanks, DTC

I went here about a month and a half ago or so between classes and this is tied for my favorite place on/near the square. For the price, they give you a great amount of food. As suggested, I tried the tots with the white sauce and it was amazing. Definitely recommended to go if youre in this area. Their 5 star rating is there for a reason.

Excellent food, great ambiance, and terrific staff. Loved everything about this place and will be back. The BBQ is amazing and the tater tots with the Alabama White Sauce are fantastic. We left there stuffed and my wife took half her sammich home since theyre so large. This may be my new favorite Marietta Square restaurant.

Dropped in for dinner one evening because other restaurants on the Square were super busy--so glad we did. The BBQ was tender and the Carolina sauce was so flavorful. And, the tater tots were hot and tasty. I say yall are gonna give Dave Poes BBQ a run for their money at the next Taste of Marietta. Bravo Double Take Cafe, bravo!

This place is one of my top favorite places in the square. Tetris tater tots with the white sauce are amazing. Their pulled pork and BBQ is awesome too. My ultimate favorite thing though in the the chocolate chip bread pudding. Nothing you get will be bad

Our waiter Brian was very hospitable and friendly. The place has a cute cafe vibe. I loved the bench seating with pillows. The grits and tater tots are what stood out to us. I would come here again because the people are so nice.

Were regulars. Food and service have always been excellent from the brisket to the sides to the deserts (outstanding). About 2 blocks off the square and well worth the extra walk.
