It truly breaks my heart to write this review. We have been regular customers of La Parrilla for the past 6+ years. We literally drive past 3 other Mexican restaurants on the way to La Parrilla because the food has always been so much better than the rest. However, after todays experience, we will likely not ever return. The waiter seemed confused when he took our order, and we had to repeat ourselves over and over just to explain that the check would be divided between our two families. We placed our orders and waited over an hour for our food. When our food finally did make it out, not a single dish was right. One order never even came out at all. The straw that broke the camels back was when my sons chicken tenders came out. Now he orders this dish every single time so we know what to expect. The so-called "tenders" looked like the kitchen had taken one chicken tender and sliced it in to three pieces. Not at all the quality we have come to expect from this place. It was at that moment that we informed our waiter that we would not be waiting any longer for them to correct our dishes and we left. I do not know what has happened to this place, but it is truly a sad day for those of us who love quality Mexican food. I hope they can get things fixed, but I honestly do not want to risk returning.

Im not the kind of person to bash restaurants because of my 11 years in the kitchen. I am a chef and tex mex is my first love. And to be honest the atmosphere and service was good. Im astonished at the precision of the wait staff considering they were all young which is why they got the two stars. The food and plating was disapointing. Im assuming this is a franchise which can be challenging but someone needs to spend time with the kitchen staff and fix this. The meat was too salty and the chalupa was on a corn tortilla (which im hoping they just messed up my order) and was sitting in beans which made it soggy and there was a low ratio of meat in my tamale...anyway. Please up the ante.

I have been to a "La Parilla" in a low lying plaza in or near Gainesville, Ga. It is next to a "Publix" Supermarket. This restaurant has earned every letter for the word "Excellence" in every rating category. If you are a seeker for the greatest Avacado dip(guacamole), and Vegetarian Fajitas, then you must give this place a try. I have been there in the mid afternoon several times, there has been no wait time. I have sought for ultimate Mexican Restaurants for 45 years now, and found many good ones through out the country. Ive been coming here for over 4 years! At least once a week with friends and family and each time its a $150+ bill. I know the staff by name. I called the store to try to make a reservation for a party I want to throw for 25 people at their Oakwood location I was rudely told that they dont do reservations so I called the corporate office and got nowhere either theyre not willing to help 25 people at an average of $25 per head is almost $600 . Guess they dont care about the loyalty of there customers

This place is excellent! The only draw back is they dont take reservations for a large crowd! The tamales are so very good! Service is impeccable. The servers are super sweet an the Managers are VERY nice We always try to eat here first, but if they are too crowded which is a lot of times, we will go somewhere else but the others are ALWAYS far inferior to La Parrilla. WE LOVE THIS PLACE!! I dont want to recommend to others for purely selfish reasons..I dont want to have to wait any longer!!!

Well, on the upside you probably will not get food poisoning here. I asked for medium rare and I got shoe leather (poor quality leather at that) for my meat with that carbon flavor we all know from the "drunk cooking at a tailgate" experience, Staphylococcus or E. coli dont have a chance. The fish we ordered was overcooked too. Ive been others in the past and had better luck, I can say it wasnt worth the money Keith Vickery

Very nice for a Mexican Restaurant. I always have to get the mango salmon for lunch, but I also steal a taco or whatever babes decides. Just to test the other offerings. Everythings pretty good. Tacos are hit or miss though. Oh and they have the skinny margaritas. And apparently the patron, grand mariner margarita out of anywhere. 2 Orange slices please =) Not as Impressed with the place as of recent though.

How can you honestly sell a 1/2 cup of cheese dip for $9?!?!? This is dumb. I have never had a good "service" experience in this place so i decided to get togo. I would give 10 stars for the chefs only, but the crappy service/wait staff ruins me wanting to go sit down and enjoy fresh food. So i would recommend getting it togo and sitting in the parking lot over interacting with them.... just saying

Im giving it three stars not because of the food because the food was fantastic; Its getting there stars because I left the waiter my tip in cash but they put down that I left them an almost 50% tip on my card as well (which was not the case since I paid my tip in cash). My bank settled it but I wonder how many others this have happened to unknowingly.

I wish you could vote negatibe stars... Beyond appalled at the service (or should I say lack of service...) The food was great but the waitstaff was awful! Half of them were just sitting around and our waitress disappeared for almost 30 minutes. She never checked on us and when she did she was not respectful. I cant say Ill ever go there again.

Good food, great service. The service here was outstanding. Food was better than other places Ive tried. The service though was outstanding. Server was always nearby and quick to fill up our drinks, a manager stopped by as well to check on our meal. Above and beyond what is expect at a restaurant at this price level. We will be back!

When here twice it was fine but the first time i went with my girlfriend she found fish bones in her enchiladas, and the waitress was rude to me and my girlfriend. The second time she ordered a salmon, it was nice on the outside but under cooked on the inside, and the waitress was still rude to her. Never going back to la parrilla!!

I wish I could keep it a secret, but its already become a really popular place with delicious food. Tamales are Colombian (they tell me) so they are very plump, try them with pork on top! The staff has employed much of the same friendly people for the years Ive been eating there. This is my most favorite dining spot.

Disgusting!! Taco bell blows this place away. Very expensive for what you get. Nothing is spicey here even when requested. I should have ate cat crap it would have been much tastier!! only positive is chip and salsa servers do there job... Being from South Texas we know the real ting when we eat it....
