I have been a loyal customer ever since this chain started, And I have dined at this location many times, However after my visit on 3/12/14 I will never return. Service was great as usual, Heres what was wrong. The onion rings used to be great, What I received was totally uncooked in the middle and nasty, My wife and I barely ate any before getting grossed out. The meat which is always good was over cooked and had a lot of fat thrown it, There is nothing more nasty when eating pulled pork than to get a wad of pork fat, this fat is only good for giving to your dog and is unacceptable to serve to the public. The beans are always good , but not this time they tasted bad like they were days old. The slaw and bread was ok , hard to screw those things up though. This place has went to hell on a hand truck with greased wheels. wheels greased with pork fat they use to extend their pulled pork. I welcome any contact from the owners, I know I have spent at least 2 to 300 dollars a years eating at Rib Country at the 3 locations, 2 in north GA and 1 in NC for the past 5 years. May I suggest to anyone wanting really good BBQ to skip this dump and go to Smokin Jims BBQ just outside of Blairsville. These people have pride in their food and it shows. It is always crowded and they do run out of certain things so call ahead. Best ribs around unlike the pitiful things they serve at Rib Raunch. i just tried eating my leftover pulled pork fat from Rib Raunch and it is gross. Never again will I spend another penny there. Our meal and nasty onion rings and 2 iced teas were over $35 plus tip, I left a good tip for the poor woman working at this dive, its not her fault!

Disappointed - will not be going back. This was our first time here, always saw lots of cars and decided to give it a go (Thursday Dinner). We waited a good five minutes before we were seated (there were only 7 people in the restaurant) - hostess was in the back and not watching the front. We were not the only family this happened to. I ordered the pulled pork plate with a salad and baked potato. The pork was pretty dry, and the potato tasted off (as if it were a bit old). May be a bit of snobbery, but I dont care for being served butter and sour cream in disposable cups like you get on a buffet. Put some pride in your food. My husband ordered the brisket. It looked as if it had been baked in the oven, very little char or smoke ring, kind of gray looking. The portion was also REALLY small. His fries were soft and unappetizing. He said it tasted like the brisket had been cut for a while. The BBQ sauce was ok - a bit too fake hickory tasting. The one on our table had some coagulated fat/sugar that oozed out and blocked the tip of the bottle. I had to get one off of another table. The applesauce was meh. I also have an issue with providing paper liners on a plate that someone is going to be cutting meat on. By the end of the meal, my husband had shredded his and was eating off of the metal plate underneath. (after looking at the pictures on here, not sure what happened - our meal did NOT look like these pictures - and I think we should have ordered a burger) The waitress was nice. Overall it felt like no one cared tonight and who ever in the back was just phoning it in.

I have been to well over 30 BBQ restaurants in Georgia, and I can honestly say that Rib Country is one of my top choices. The ribs are fall off the bone and the pulled pork sandwiches are moist and smokey. Most of the side dishes are good to, with the exception of the stew. I am just not a fan of it and it is served in a cardboard container. Pros: Good prices Great smoke flavor Servers are very attentive and nice Fall of the bone ribs Good sauces Real baking potatoes Texas toast Cons: A bit of drive for me, but worth it. The stew. Just not to my taste. Parking

We love eating at Rib Country in Helen and it is our favorite place to eat when we gather together as a family. We decided to beat the Mothers Day crowd and go on Saturday this past weekend but unfortunately, this was the worst experience we have ever had. The BBQ wasnt the normal high quality, being full of fatty stuff, hard dried out pieces, and the beef brisket was too tough to chew and was also dried out. Im hoping that management will contact me so that they can make it right.

We just finished eating breakfast here at rib country and I couldnt be more satisifed with the overall experience. Too often us locals get in the same rythem of the local breakfast joints and fail to give new things a chance. I would 100% recommend rib countrys breakfast to anyone over all the local breakfast joints. We will definitely be back and I hope the news gets out about how good this is! Id hate to see a good thing go unnoticed and then be taken away. Thank you!

Breakfast was fantastic. Came back for lunch to be disappointed. Perhaps is was just a bad batch but the brisket I ordered was so dry it was borderline beef jerky. My whole family agreed. Instead I switch to the baby back ribs and they only had a little bit of meat on them, dry as well but not as bad. The bbq sauces they offer at the table are actually pretty good. 3/5 only goes for the friendly staff, and breakfast food.

This was my first time visiting and it was deeeelicious! I had the sliced turkey that was so tender and juicy while my husband had the feast for one since he couldnt decide (you get all the meats and two sides). We were so stuffed when we left because everything was fantastic! They make their own salad dressing and the honey mustard is amazing! We shared some Brunswick stew and it was awesome!! Def better than Sonnys BBQ.

We stopped on our way back from Paradise Valley Farm. I got a salad with smoked turkey and hubby got the pork plate. I am still thinking about that smoked turkey. So good. I sampled hubbys pork, beans and home style fries. Delicious. All so yummy. We had to wait about 10-15 minutes but so worth it. Food came fast and was great (drool), service was friendly and on point. Wish they were next door. :)

Absolutely AMAZING!!!! Best BBQ in Northeast Georgia!! The onion appetizer is superb and their sweet/hot mustard pairs very well with them! The BBQ is exceptional in taste and extremely moist. Waitress was attentive but not pushy (she let us enjoy our meal) huge portions and for an appetizer, 2 drinks, and two meals $35 including tip!! This is now our BBQ place to go!!!!
