This is the ideal café if you need a miniature escape from city life and a breath of fresh, smog-free air. Atmosphere- Chattahoochee Coffee Company is the first café we have visited that fits into a whole genre of its own. The interior of this coffee shop mirrors what would be expected of a mountainside cabin with its large windows and vaulted wood ceilings. The cozier vibe continues through the use of bookshelves, richer colors, and comfortable seating options. The interior feels complete, as if it was intentionally designed to give off the vacation/retreat feel. Step out back to experience the uniqueness that the location extends to CCC—the Chattahoochee River. The sound alone instantly will replenish the soul. Coffee-CCC uses Counter Culture Coffee beans and we are fans, as you know. During our visit Anand remarked on the effect that was created when crème was poured into our fresh French pressed coffee- the beautiful swirl as the cold crème combines with the hot coffee. Now thats a good sign! Service- The café is well kept and the barista we had was nice but reserved. Inside the café was relatively quiet and I think this hands-off service lends to keeping the café more relaxed. Order a French-press and your coffee will be presented on a tray complete with all the necessary extras to create a perfect cup of coffee. Location-Inside-the-Perimeter…barely. The scenic river-side location makes the drive worth it though. CCC has the luxury of seclusion; it is tucked away in the back of an apartment complex actually. This makes finding it a struggle as you have to enter through the gate of Walton on the Chattahoochee off Akers Mill Rd, hopefully you don’t end up like Anand, driving in circles to find the entrance. There is ample parking once inside and the area behind the coffee shop, on the river, is walkable and even hike-able. Legitimacy- Im unsure of the reason as to why this coffee shop changed from Land of a Thousand Hills to Chattahoochee Coffee Company, but I do know that the quality hasnt suffered one bit. This cafe is always busy and has a very loyal following of customers. Im hesitant to write this post because this place is so good that I want to keep it all for myself! But, I love you all too much to do that, so secrets out! Enjoy!

the worst experience ever. I have been going here for several years now. I decided to meet up with my sister a few days ago, and I got there right at 7. the coffee shop doesnt open the gate after 7. I waited in line for 15 minutes because the people in front of me were calling trying to get in. finally comes my turn. I pull up start calling and no one picked up. after several times of calling this RUDE DUDE picks up the phone and let me say while this is happening there is TRAFFIC behind me. COP pulls up next to me. I asked the guy from the coffee shop please let me in I got here on time but waited in line forever. and my sister was there already waiting for me. THIS RUDE DUDE SAYS OH NO I CANT WE CLOSE AT 7, LIKE REALLY?!?! and THEN RUDDDEEE COP COMES out of his car STARTS yelling at me telling me I need to leave. I got sooooo frustrated. I was so hurt. like would it have HURT HIM to open the gate for me?!?! honestly I DO NOT WANT TO GO BACK. THATS HOW BAD THE SITUATION WAS.

I went there multiple times before and had the best experiences of any coffee shop. Today was different, I received no acknowledgement beyond taking my order. I was never asked if I wanted it to go or not (I thought if I didnt ask for it to go it would come in a mug). I receive my coffee in a to go cup which is deplorable and makes the coffee taste horrible to me. My day went from being alright, happy I would get great coffee then being ruined. I was served by Randy (Brandi was the other barista listed working) around 10am or so. I will not be coming back to this location and if I do come to Chattahoochee Coffee Company I will go to the west side location. I do not want anything from this company just letting people know the horrendous experience that happened today.

My goto coffee shop when I have the time. It is located with in a beautifully well maintained apartment complex on the Chattahoochee River. The view is great and the atmosphere is cozy. This shop offers Counter Culture Coffee with new selections every month. They offer a wide variety of styles for coffee, would it be Chemex espresso drinks, brewed coffee via drip or pourover, and French press. They even offer other cold drink alternatives like smoothies. As of now, I think they are offering some food items like sandwiches rather than just muffins or bread. In terms of pricing, for getting new great tasting coffee every month plus location and atmosphere, it is totally worth the 3-20 dollars you spend here. Edit: They are not open on the weekend to the public.

I was so confused the first time I heard of this place. A coffee shop by the river sounded great...but what do you mean its inside an apartment complex? Dont let the gated community fool you. It actually makes me feel special everytime I dial in and the gates open...almost as if I was part of an secret elite society of coffee lovers. The atmosphere...no other place in Atlanta can beat these views! The coffee...marvelous! The fact its not a multimillion dollar corporation but a locally owned brew shop determined to do good in this world...priceless! I have been a regular for the past 3 years and I couldnt see myself going to another coffee spot in Atlanta to enjoy a cup of joe and relaxing with the view. You have to definitely give it a go!

NEVER HAVE I EVER enjoyed coffee like I have at this Chattahoochee Coffee Company. The baristas are properly trained (as I am a barista), the wide coffee selection is amazing (great number of custom blends and single origins) and Ive never experienced a friendlier staff ever before. The shop has a great Atlanta vibe to it. Dont expect the baristas to light up for you every time you walk in the door. Theyre REAL people. Theyre always kind, but theyre always themselves and I see some people on here have misinterpreted that. If you want to come enjoy the depth of Atlanta, Chattahoochee Coffee Company is for you. If you want a cookie cutter, obnoxious fake smile and greeting, you know where to go.

This place is a hidden gem. A friend asked me to meet him here to go over work. After getting extremely frustrated with Google Maps because it kept trying to lead me into a gated community, I called my friend who did, "yup! You have to buzz them on the callbox." Once I parked in the designated area and walked to the coffee spot, the view blew me away. STUNNING. The coffee is $2.50 for a small drip (I always think of Martin Crane on Frasier throwing a fit at Cafe Nervosa because a cup of coffee was $1.50. Boy, would he be unhappy!) but thats the standard rate these days and with the free wifi, plenty of outlet by the tables, the view and the breeze, is probably pay $5 a cup.

Great coffee and beautiful setting sitting either inside or outside, especially down by the river. The indoor seating area is very nice with comfortable plush chairs and sofas as well as tables. The only complaint I have is that the pastries dont live up to their looks. This was our second visit, and the pastries have seemed like they are not fresh, mostly on the harder edges. My large bacon and cheese pastry needed more than 1 smallish slice of bacon and a strip of cheese. Also, the cold drink section below the pastry case was not cooling and everything was at room temperature. We will go back but will probably get something to eat elsewhere.
