I went to The Haven on Saturday night to watch a band. I ordered a beer and tried to pay w/a credit card ..the bartender said she could only take a card if it were more than $10. So a friend gave me $4 and I paid for the $3.25 beer. No change was offered or placed by the beer. Additionally, when I came back with the money, she had taken the beer off the bar. When she saw me, she put the beer back. I asked her how much the beer was and she said $3.25 and I inquired about the change. She said, "Oh, I thought that was my tip" as she smerked to the gentleman to my left. As a server throughout college, I know that a tip is given - not taken. I am an excellent tipper and have never NOT tipped anyone. A tip for The Haven bartender: Treat your customers as you would like to be treated - and remember you work for tips.

Weve played there many times and consider it our at home gig (we tour out of state a lot) - Ive never really been there as a customer so I dont have that perspective but as a band, customers are sure to get a great show. The PA/Lighting/Stage allows us to really put on a great show for you which makes it a really unique venue for that part of Orlando. Keep in mind that its a live music VENUE that caters to original music -- its not a sports bar. They dont make much money because of that fact so they really rely on drink sales/ticket sales. If youre looking for cover tunes/pop hits dont expect to find them here - what you will find are a bunch of local original bands who play great local original music. Support your local musicians who play for the love of music by going to The Haven!

Dive and a half. Went there to see a buddys band play, and couldnt believe what a dirty hole it was. There was barely anyone in the place, and the staff cared not one iota about service. I had to struggle for the privilege of buying a beer from them every single time. The only method I found was to stand at the bar literally waving money over my head while the bartender wouldnt give the time of day. Had to wave actual money just to get her to saunter over finally. Never again.

I come here for the live music experience. The atmosphere and decor being "meh" are non-issues in a venue whose claim to fame is the starting point for original rock artists. Id say their niche is providing cheap, loud fun. As for band choice, they wont play crappy bands over and over, but they will give everyone a chance at least once it seems, which I can respect. Its usually worth the trip to this part of town to catch an originals night.

Ive never had to write a review using my Google ever before. This place is awful though. Anyone claiming that they support local music doesnt know how the industry works. I only write to share that this is not a good place to play or they will scam you out of your money. Im glad to cross this place off my list and never reffer any bands to it. P.S. Watch out the owner is transphobic. Stay safe!

I went in to their very small establishment with terrible service and got a wrist band because I am 21. I was there for 45 minutes and after buying two pitches of beer I was throw out with no explanation. This place is very dirty and is a bad example to bars everywhere. I would not go here if it was the last place on earth to drink.

Ive been here on several occasions for local shows, and every visit has been pleasurable. Drink prices arent over the top, the pool tables and sticks are in good condition, and the sound is amazing. Youd be hard pressed to find a better place in the Winter Park area to attend (or play) a show. Their sound engineer is top notch.

The Haven is alright. The bartender is always super nice, drinks are good and the price is average (those complaining about it being overpriced, clearly havent been Downtown were they charge you $10 for, what I call, a snow cone). My only complain is the eternal cigarette smell, but what can you do.

The Haven has owners who truly care about music. That doesnt mean the music is always GOOD, but when theres good music there, the Haven can rock it. Hip hop nights, open mic nights, the best metal in town... and cheap cover. The atmosphere aint fancy, but you came to rock, right?

Dont know how to make car bombs. Shots are in tiny plastic party shots. The guinness they gave with the car bomb barley reached the quarter mark in a clear plastic cup. Only reason for the stars would be because of the ability for local bands to play. Go for the music

If youre a band considering playing here I highly suggest it. Its a small venue but the sound guy (Axel) is awesome and knows what hes doing. Also usually the bartenders are nice and will give you discounted soda or non alcoholic beverages.

Worst venue ever. Drinks were way overpriced and they refused to pay out any of the bands, but at least they let the bands have water for free. Also owned by transphobic trash. I would give 0 stars if I could. Dont waste your time.

Bands complaining about this bar not paying out money when its the booking agency that books your show thats in control of all that. This bar has a lot of great regulars and everyone is super friendly. Especially the bartenders

The HAVEN LOUNGE is the home for Orlandos true music scene, everything a rock club is supposed to be. Affordable drinks, great music, excellent sound, lights, stage and heavy metal too!

Good size stage with drum riser, good PA, good Board, awesome lights. Very nice, easy going FOH Engineer. Friendly down to earth staff. Only downside is the smoking inside.
