Great little ice cream place in downtown Winter Garden. The decor is awesome-- it feels like youre in a 50s ice cream shop. The service is excellent, though it was a little chaotic but they made it work. The first person to greet me gave me the sample of what I asked for then wandered off to help someone else, and then a second person came right over and took care of me after that. They have about 15 flavors or so, and I was after the chocolate. The Hersheys ice cream has a great flavor. I think their freezer is on a little high, because the ice cream (while tasting great) was extremely hard. My plastic spoon bent and flexed every time I dug into it, and I had to chew the ice cream. The portions they give you are way more than the name of the order (ie, the two scoops size is not just two scoops, I think he fit 5 or 6 scoops worth into the cup).

This place is amazing. The owner is so amazing and patient. We travel 45 minutes at least twice a month as a treat to my 7 children and they are always so patient and kind. When my brother came for the summer with his 11 children this is where we brought them. The prices are phenomenal. In this day and age and with this many children it is too expensive to treat them to even ice cream but Scoops makes it possible. Dear Scoops, you have been such a blessing to our family life. My kids look forward to being treated to ice cream from you. Thank you for your service! Especially when you treated my son to a cup when he decided to stay home and take care of his responsibilities instead of coming out for ice cream. Keep up the great work! It is appreciated!!!

Long before Haagen-Dazs, Ben & Jerry’s and Talenti spoiled us for wimpy ice cream, the legendary Hershey’s was the gold standard. Founded in 1894, the Hershey Creamery (no relation to the chocolate town in Pennsylvania) still supplies old-time parlors such as Scoops. Straight out of the 1950s, Scoops, at the base of the Edgewater Hotel, fits the bill with worn wooden counters, panoramic glass display cases, low ceiling fans and old-fashioned bar stools. A hand-dipped cone of butter pecan or chocolate mint is enough to transport you back in time.

They never answer their phones!!! Ive called 4 days in a row during business hours at different times of the day and always get the recording. Im simply trying to find out if they have my ice cream flavor (Superman), bc i dont wanna drive 40 min unless they have it. Its too bad too, to lose a customer just bc the employees are too lazy to answer a phone call. Management needs to do something about that bc this is ridiculous.....regardless of how good their ice cream may be.

I have been going to this place for the past 4 years and have always received excellent service. The owner is always pleasant. I am so saddened that my experience today was extremely disappointing and the service from the young girl behind the counter doesnt reflect the kindness of what I know this business usually exemplifies. Our kids love this place, but we will definitely not return for a while. Total disappointment because I love the ice cream.

The ambiance is wonderful, the owner, Michael couldnt be nicer, and the prices are incredible. This is a true hidden gem in Winter Garden. If you love Ice Cream, and you are anywhere near Winter Garden, stop in for a real treat. In addition to wonderful Ice Cream, Scoops also serves some great sandwiches. Try it, you will NOT be unhappy you did!! In fact, youll probably be hooked forever.

We are snowbirds from Tennessee and are welcomed back by Mike year after year. He is awesome and so friendly! We are older folk and love to sit in our car eating our butter pecan ice cream.. in front of Scoops... people watching. This place is a must for everyone old and young! We give Mike and Scoops a five star rating!

I love the prices and location of this old ice cream shop. I order the half scoop now (which is really what a normal scoop looks like) since it is plenty of ice cream. The service has always been top notch and friendly and they even have a frequent customer punch card.

Really nice environment. It feels like sitting eating ice cream on a 1950s movie set except its the real deal. Loads of flavours and a real sense of nostalgia.
