This was arguably my favorite restaurant in Palm Beach County because their food blew me away every single time. Personally, I have had upper echelon cuisine from all over the world, and Talay Thai is definitely in my Top 10. For my husbands birthday the food was so good I sent my compliments to the chef. Their dishes always exceeded expectations in terms of appearance, taste, quality, and portion. I could eat a single serving and not feel disgusting, tired, or lethargic. Their chocolate cake is simply to die for. Their prices are justified by the quality and type of restaurant it is. The only thing I did not like was the excessive smoking carrying on at the front door, and their customer service can be roughly around the edges. Sometimes they also are not baby friendly; especially in the evenings.

Based on past reviews, I expected this restaurant to be really good as far as food flavor. Not the case for me. I thought the spring rolls were a bit oily and the chicken satay was average. The peanut sauce had virtually no flavor. My dish was chicken stir fry with basil. My first bit like the rest of my meal that I chocked down was too salty. At best, I was disappointed at the food. The service was prompt and very nice and the atmosphere was comfortable. Second Part: I had the left overs for lunch. Talay did include some rice with the left overs which was nice. I added hot sauce which helped a lot. The restaurant did not bring us hot sauce or paste. They had dry goods which was not what I was looking for. Anyway, I expect a lot from restaurants.

I was surprised how lovely this restaurant turned out to be in a strip mall on PGA BLVD, but it was. The rickshaws outside were a cute touch but the indoor decor was very lovely. Loved the bejeweled foo dogs and other objects of art inside. The service was very good. The waiter was so patient explaining the 0-10 curry spice ratings and the different types of pad. My duck with a mild curry was loved by both me and my companion. His tofu was also excellent. The dumplings werent traditional steamed dough but cute little balls with the minimum of coating and maximum filling. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and decor.

The place is extremely overpriced. They dont have prices on their online menu. The food was dry again. A year ago we had some issues with the Pad Thai but wanted to give them a second chance. It was a mistake. You dont have to make it. Tonight the Lobster Pad Thai was like sawdust and when I called the owner he said some of them has more sauce others have less. Drunken Noodle was hard and stuck together because it was dry too. For 3 noodles Ive paid $75. Expected something really good in this price range.

I cant say I hate this place because I have never eaten here but what I will say is I called to do take-out and asked if they had yellow curry which they dont so I asked what curry do they have thats like it. The owner got on the phone explained and when I asked a few more questions about it she said "well got to go call us back if you want to order" and hung up... obviously my service was not worth there time, so I will never recommend them to anybody because customer service is key!!

Just had lunch at Talay Thai for the first time today April 14, 2016. Pleasant quiet dining atmosphere. Casual and not too fancy for average people like me. Servers were nice and knowledgeable about the food and answered all my questions. Dumplings, Pad Thai, Panang Chicken Curry and Thai sweet tea were all awesome. Enjoyable lunch with my husband, will come back. Price was nice too for working class people like us. $32 and we left full and happy.

Amazing food, very poor service though. The restaurant wasnt full, there wasnt even a line, yet the waitresses were running around like crazy making us all very uneasy. If your waitress is Nicole, be careful, even ask for a different waitress, shes very inattentive, didnt ask us how our food was and just brought us the check without us asking for it. After she brought us the dessert we asked for she disappeared, another waiter got the check for us.

Im from NYC and this is the BEST Thai food outside Manhattan. The most amazing calamari, the most delectable drunken noodles, and ridiculously good fried snapper. Mamma, the main hostess and co-owner is wonderful. Her son, Charlie, is affable and extremely talented. I cant say enough good things. Yes, its a bit pricey, but its so worth it. This place stand above all other thai spots in PBG!

Hostess was rude and I almost walked out. I wanted a takeout order she said to go online but I pointed to the menus next to her and asked to see the lunch menu. She brushed me off when I asked about menu items.. anyhow the pad thai was good and the waiter who was nice enough to answer my questions. Next time Ill ignore her and just think about the yummy food

I normally dont like Asian food, but the sweet and sour chicken I had there is the best I have ever had. It was fantastic. I had Pad Thai before here and it was also excellent. My wife also loves it. This is a gourmet quality Thai Restaurant. Definitely not a run if the mill place. First class in every way. Nice atmosphere and great dining experience

Place is way overrated and overpriced Thai food. Also, they charge 18% gratuity on parties of 6 or more. Still charged me as though we were a large party for 5 adults and my 6 month old (really there loss since I typically tip 20% post tax). Owner smokes cigarettes right outside of her own restaurant.

Delicious food! Extremely pleasant owners who remember and love their repeat customers. Mama Soo is wonderful and chef Charlie is the best! Great bar for sitting and chatting. Tommy is a fantastic bartender and BJ also great a bartenders AND server. Love it!

I was around when CXS opened Talay Thai...he and his team have gone on to win multiple awards...I cannot find another Thai restaurant that compares to Charlies...he and his family have ruined Thai food for me...D.C., ATL, CHI, DET...

Been here countless times and have yet to have a bad experience. Everything from the pad thai, to the various types of stir fry and curries have been top notch at fair prices. Check it out and you wont be disappointed.

I have known Charlie for years, this is the best Thai food this side of town by far. Hard working staff, delicious food every time, and a well stocked bar perfect for enjoying life. Talay Thai is the real deal.

"In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king". Owners and staff are lovely and mean well. Well priced and very busy. Food is heavy and portions large. What more can I tell you. Its fine.

Good classic Thai cuisine, excellent service. Nice decor and an interesting bar area. Clean and fresh all around. Very popular with the 70+ crowd but food and service is good for all.

Across the street form my home and one of my favorite spots in Palm Beach Gardens. Excellent service and the food is authentic. Dine there regularly and they do take out as well!
