Heights of bad experience: I am not from Orlando so I was googling for thai places for dinner. There were two popped up for that area. Red Bamboo and Thai silk. Red Bamboo entree were half the price from Thai silk so I picked Red bamboo looking at their reviews. I called and the person did not greet with the place so I placed the order and went to pick up. Order was for Pad Se-ew( My fav thai dish) and medium green curry and salad. I went to pick up the order looking for Red bamboo but the address took me to Thai Silk and when I looked at the bill it was exactly double than what I expected. I tried talking to the waitress but she just ignored what I was saying and told me red bamboo is bought by Thai silk owner but then I told her about active website for red bamboo but with no consideration she charged my card and I picked up my food and came to hotel. My Pad se-ew wide noodles were not cooked good and I do not eat pork and the dish was smelling all pork and beef. My green curry was so spicy that I could only had 2 spoons of rice. So I went back to the store; the closing time was 10.00pm and I fot there at 9.45 pm. The front door had closed sign on. My husband and I tried to wave inside they saw us and hid behind the wall( Really!! I thought they did not see us but indeed they did see us). I was persistent for $$$ I spent so the guy had to open the door and he started looking at the food. I told him that curry is Extra hot and he opened up rice and told me i had two spoons of rice though( I could not believe this!!) Heights of bad service. I asked for manager number. He did not give me any number and asked me to call back. Food business people should be happy to cater customers needs and not give this kind of service.

Thai Silk? More like Thai SUCK! Terrible service and over priced. Wish I could give 0 stars! They took our food order before even serving us drinks. They screwed up 3 out of our 5 orders. Ordered a "medium" Pad Thai and it was so spicy, couldnt even eat it. Sent it back and the next one they brought out was mushy and nasty. Wasnt going to eat it, so we asked for our check, and the total was absurd! Over $100! Beware of getting a combo fried rice because it will end up costing you over $20 since they sneakily charge you for extra meat/seafood each- plus it had no flavor! Still charged us for the terrible Pad Thai, but took off "10%" and asked us if wed ever been to Bangkok and had real Thai food before because thats how real Thai food is. They also added in an automatic 18% tip for a table of 5! NEVER again Thai SUCK!

We were in Orlando for a day trip. As a person that is familiar with all types of Asian cuisine and cooks often at home, their self-claimed Thai dish had nothing to do with Thai. We ordered Pad Thai and Noodle soup. The Pad Thai couldnt taste any lime flavor. it wasnt served with lime. It wasnt served with chopped roasted peanuts. It had no cilantro. I couldnt taste fish sauce (not suppose to but you could feel it) and the dish was loaded with greasy oil and soy sauce. Noodle soup tasted exactly like any noodle shop at any Chinese take out restaurant. It was greasy. It was soy saucy. This is a low end Chinese restaurant borrowing Thai foods name so they could overcharge. Compared to the quality of food the price was high.

First thing I would like to say that Im sure many people hard to get there because of there is only one way to go. But very easy if you know where Fun Spot is then you turn lelf on International Grand Rd. from I- Drive then go straight about 15 meters n then turn lelf again n you can see restaurant infront of you not far about 20 meters. We were there on my husbands birthday n we order Satay, Laab chicken hot, Red chicken hot, Tom yum chicken hot, n Sticky rice & mango. Everythings was so delicious n Services was so friendly. Thank you to make special night for us with fried Ice-cream. And hopefully this post could be help many people whom deserve Thai food tonight

I am Oriental and come from an area with lots of Thai restaurants. The food at Red Bamboo is OK-good. The degree of heat.....I like my food at a medium heat level....hot but not burning my mouth. Medium at Red Bamboo is pretty spicy...I would ask for dish to be on the low side of Medium so I could enjoy the dish without having to drink a lot of my water or Thai Ice tea! They do offer items not always seen on menus ie. Papaya salad, Angel wings (stuffed), & homemade mango & coconut ice cream. The staff is very attentive and the service vey good. It is away from the tourist areas so one can get a table without a problem and have a peaceful meal.

The food was okay. The krab rangoons were over cooked. My wife wanted peanut sauce and we told the waiter. He recommended the pad tai. It was not peanutty. We had to order a side off peanut sauce. Then we were told the the dish is not normally made with peanuts because of allergies. The waiter spent alot of time chatting with another table twice we had to get out of our seat to get service. On a good note, the waiter as very pleasant and polite. The prices were not as bad as many made them out. We spent more money for less food at Carinas last night. My Curry dish was good and they held out green peppers and added red at my request.

They wont even answer their own phone 90% of the time. That should tell you how much they care about your business. If you place a to go order make sure you check everything. They leave parts of your order out, but NOT on the PRICE! You get charged, but you might not get an item or two. And boy do they charge you. $20 for seafood delight? Yikes. The food isnt bad, but is forgettable. You wont forget getting ripped off in more ways than one though. And try calling them to let them know they forgot something? No answer. Ten straight calls over a 20 minute span. Ridiculous.

No one was in the restaurant when we walked in on a Monday evening. Had one take out while we were there. Food was excellent though. Im allergic to shrimp so I got a pineapple curry with scallops instead of shrimp (i asked them to replace it) and a tom yum. My sister, nephews, and bf all liked their curries too. They ordered 2 green curries, 1 under the sea, 1 seafood delight, 2 thai teas, 1 fried ice cream. Everything was delicious. Took a while to get the servers attention though.

We very much enjoyed our visit to Red Bamboo. We had never had Tai food before and this was a great first experience. The service was great. We got some informative recommendations from our waitress that assisted our choices for our wonderful food. Our meal included Valcano Chicken, Pineapple Fried Rice, Phed Gratiam, Phad Se-ew. I highly recommend the Salmon Roll appetizer. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and was very clean. It will be a must stop for us during our next visit.
