Admittedly we arrived at lunch hour on Friday so the place was hectic. No one to greet you... you must find your own table. The problem is that if there is no table you have to wait until one comes available by hovering over existing diners. I dont find that particularly polite. I would have preferred a ticket system whereby the next table be given to the next ticket number. Once a table was found, we ordered from our server. Approximately 10 minutes later 2 of the 3 orders arrived. Another 3 minutes later the server returned to say that one of the plates was an error and she took it away. As my friend had already begun eating off the plate, I hope the plate was thrown out but we didnt see where she went with it. Finally, after another 10 minutes our remaining two orders were served to us. The food was good and well-presented for the most part. Next time however I will ask for the dressing on my salad to be on the side because there was so much that it totally drenched the greens in the salad. My cream puff for dessert was fresh and delicious however the pastry on my friends mixed berry tart was hard and inedible. I would return again for breakfast next time but Ill be careful to go during off peak hours.

I was looking for a unique place to enjoy breakfast near the beach where I could drink coffee & read. This place, for the most part, did not disappoint. Cheese crepe was excellent, but described as having sun dried tomatoes, presumably as an ingredient not just a garnish. I envisioned a piece of tomato w/ at least every few bites. But there were only a few, small slices of tomato. Super friendly staff makes the difference at this place. Offered to keep brownies in cold case while I ate. Took brownies home - yum, almost fudge like. Latte was also excellent, smooth tasting. Automatic ice & water dispenser is odd, difficult to get water to come out. Staff came over and got it working, saw two others struggling w/ it while there. Statement on menu about how chef knows best and no substitutions is snobby & off putting. But it seems their business is booming, so me not going there again on principle b/c of such snobbery is neither here nor there I guess.

Cafe de Paris Bakery I recently relocated to the gulf beaches and now live on Gulf Boulevard. A couple of days ago I was in the vicinity of Cafe de Paris, which I had wanted to visit, so I dropped in, looked around, and chatted about the restaurant with the very sweet French proprietor. I was in too much of a hurry to sit down for a bite, but I took home a homemade almond croissant just to try their food. Back home with a cappuccino the croissant was absolutely delicious! It was crisp and soft, not too flaky and feather-light (as in most places), with abundant delicious almond paste inside. The place is very cute and cozy, a genuine French bistro, and all pastries and baked goods are homemade. Now I cant wait to go back for lunch. (They say the ham, egg and cheese crepe is delicious.)

Just as a heads up: the mornings are busy. However, theres a reason that they are busy. The food is great, the staff is friendly, the ambiance is enjoyable. I have never been to France, but I have to think that someone who had would feel that the items offer here are reticent of those you would see in a street-side cafe in Paris. We sampled a decent variety of tasty offerings. The coffee was wonderful. The crepes were outstanding. The pastries and cakes were delicious. The sandwich was mouth-watering. Everything was wonderful. We will definitely be back. Things to know: grab a menu & walk to the left to the rear of the line or the rear of the glass displays. If you linger in the doorway, people will pass you as you try to figure out what to do.

Pastries are very good. You can get a nice cookie for 50 cents. I would not recommend this restaurant for kids for anything past pastries. The restaurant is not flexible in any way to tailor make your food. If the item calls for mushrooms and you hate mushrooms, they have an All Or None Policy. Very disappointing. They will NOT budge to fulfill customer requests. They lost our sale for lunch due to their unwillingness to provide a level of customer service and I get the feeling they couldnt care less. We may be back for a pastrt, but for food, not likely. And for the environmental people to know, they use disposable Styrofoam containers to prepare their mixed ingredients, so as to not be flexible for their customers.

This is a fantastic place. I did not expect to find a true French patisserie on this side of the Atlantic; but this is certainly a gem. Indeed, it is far better than many cafes we have frequented in France over the last 20 years or so. it serves proper, European-style (and strength) coffee - knocks Starbucks into a cock-hat. Whether you want coffee and a cake, or a French-style lunch meal - savoury galette followed by a sweet crepe; this is the place (all that was missing was to wash the meal down with a bowl of cidre! On our last (and saly our last) trip to Indian Rocks, we visited every day - I will miss not going there. Au revoir CDP; et bon chance!

Found this place on the first day of our vacation to Indian Rocks and went back at least once everyday and some days twice. The owner and his family are very attentive to requests, you only have to ask. Very friendly and helpful staff. The food is terrific. The owner/chef cares about his work and you can tell when you sample anything they have to offer. Coffee, pastries, crepes, sandwiches, croissants, all excellent. I encourage anyone to go try it out. Theyll have something for just about everyone. I took my entire family and the adults and the children all loved it and requested to go back. Try it out, you wont be sorry!

Gotta say we absolutely love the place. Food and pastry delicious. What a perfect place to have breakfast. We kept driving by and I thought oh how cute some persons caricature of a french cafe... didnt give it a second thought. Little did we know the Chef is a bona fide Parisian with talent! Wish we would have found the place sooner. We decided to try it, as it was right next to where we were staying, on our last day. Victoria if youre reading this Id love to take you back there again.

A small cafe with excellent crepes, pastries and coffee. My favourite was the 3 cheese (made with buckwheat flour, 2 thick slices of Brie, lots of mozzarella, and blue cheese, along with walnuts, sun dried tomatoes, and a side salad). The mixed fruit crepes were also excellent. We got there at the height of the lunch rush, but they made the crepes and pushed them out quickly. If you want the best selection of pastries and breads, get there early - they sell out quickly.

Have been coming here for years! Best breakfast on the beach. French onion soup is my go-to and its excellent!! As far as pastries go, the napoleon or creme brûlée are my favorite option. The three cheese crepe is phenomenal. They have a selection of fresh bread including baguettes to pick up before your dinner party, and custom cakes. The people who work here care about the business and treat guests like family. Go here for breakfast or lunch! You will be glad you did.
