Summary: Absolutely mediocre BBQ food(youre better off going to Sonnys), terrible service w/ waitress and traveling manager that insult customers. DO NOT EAT HERE unless you want to wait 45minutes for food and have watered down drinks. Backstory: We got here at 9:55pm on Saturday night. This place has a bar in the middle and has a 10pm-1am late night specials menu, which implies this place is for GROWN UPS after 10pm. 15 MINUTES LATER after placing our drink order, we have to ask a different waitress where the hell are our drinks? We finally get our watered-down drinks then place our order of an appetizer and two entrees. 30 MINUTES LATER we have no food, no appetizer yet on the table. A couple that just sat down 10 minutes ago already has their food coming out before us! What?! Its 10:50PM now.. 50 minutes since we walked in. We see a guy out of uniform, who can only be the manager. We complain. Im annoyed to the point I just tell them to forget the appetizer, just box up the entrees. They didnt even have our food prepared or being cooked yet!!! It took them another 15 minutes to cook the food to box up. While we waited at the bar, I went and talked to the Manager again why it was taking so long. This guy told me to follow him into the back hallway so other customers and his employees couldnt hear us. Then he proceeded to tell me in a matter-of-fact tone that we were not waiting 45+minutes and that me and my girlfriend were, verbatim, "Touching each other under the table and making out" as told to him by "two of his severs and other customers". I told him to check his logs, check his cameras, the most PDA we did was kiss and for him to lead with this accusation is not only implying that we deserve the bad service, but that it excuses the bad service and attitudes of the staff. ABSOLUTELY NOT. I told him off and he immediately covered his tracks and blamed his staff as the ones who told him this and hes just relaying what was said. He proceeded apologize and show me that he was canceling the charge on my order and it was going to be refunded. Never coming here again.

We decided to eat here to celebrate our 48th anniversary = big mistake. I ordered their make your own combo with 1/3 rack of baby backs, pulled pork, baked beans, and baked potato with garlic bread. The beans were good and hot, the ribs were tasty but barely room temperature, the pulled pork was dry and cold, and the baked potato was inedible as it was cold and the first bite was as if I poured salt into my mouth. I told the waiter about the potato and he said all of our potatoes are salty. As I am on a salt free diet for my health that potato could have hurt me and they should warn people their potatoes are salty. He brought me a side of slaw which had an ingredient that tasted odd. The portions were small but the price was big ($19.99). Even their famous donuts were a disappointment at best. We have eaten at Smoky Bones a few times in the past and enjoyed a tasty hot meal. This time other than the beans everything tasted as if it was in the refrigerator and waived over the stove. Will never go here again as the quality of the food did not meet the high price. I have had better meals at half the price and will bypass this restaurant in the future. To add one more thing - took awhile for server to come but that wasnt a problem. I read where a lot of people said it took a long time for the food to come - ours was the opposite as it came out in less than 10 minutes and I feel that is why it was cold.

I just walked out of the place. First of all the food that was coming out to tables smelled and looked great!! But it stops there. We were greeted by a lady that was pretty rude. She flat out asked a customer "who are you?" The customer kind of laughed it off but then the hostess asked "what do you want?" The customer didnt seem happy at all. This was all while we stood there for 10 minutes even though there were available tables. She had to be reminded that we were waiting. Flat out ignored me when I told her how many were in our party. Finally we sat down and the waiter came over to introduce himself before he sped off (without offering water or drinks). He came back to take drinks and appetizers (meanwhile we heard other servers telling drink specials and house specials, our server said nothing). Then he spilled a full cup of soda on the table. We were a little wet but it got much worse when he spread it towards us by trying to clean it with a stack of napkins. At that point we had to leave because we were wet, annoyed, hungry, and frustrated. I will never go there again and I will continue to tell my friends to not go either.

I have been to Smokey Bones three times in the past year. Twice in Orlando and once in Plantation. The reason I dont go is because the service is terrible and the managers just dont care. This location is no different. The service is slow. It took two hours to get in and out (only 15 minutes of that was waiting to be sat, nor was it a weekend or busy day otherwise Id understand the kitchen being backed up). The food is average at best. The buffalo sauce they use is no where near that of any other restaurant, let alone the lack of options. The have four sauces, one that is mildly spicy and three others that are more sweet than anything. If youre done with your meal and you dont like the service or the pace, dont expect any remorse from management though. They just want your money then theyll kick you out the door. Yes, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere, but what is a nice atmosphere if the service doesnt go along with it? This is one time when I recommend understanding the meaning of TIPS, "To Insure Prompt Service." The management will not only have to cover the 8% the employee doesnt receive.

I went to Smokey Bones with my husband on 1-28-16 to celebrate my birthday. The first disappointment was that they were out of their "house" beer which is advertised for 3.99 so we ordered another beer on draft. Of course, that was almost double the price- $7.25,,,, I ordered the soup and sandwich platter. The small cup of soup arrived 15 minutes after we ordered but the rest of the food came probably half hour after that. The sandwich was cold and soggy and tasted bad...I sent it back ...my husbands food was barely warm. We had to stand up and look for someone to pay the bill after an hour and fifteen minutes of arrival as our waiter was missing in action. I explained the whole situation to the manager, Shanon, who kindly credited us with the sandwich and drinks because I mentioned it was my birthday and was looking forward to a nice dinner..... To make matters worst, there was a customer who decided to bring a dog inside the restaurant and was at the bar for at least 20 minutes. We like pets but inside a restaurant not so much,,,,, Very poor experience, Wont go back,
