My boyfriend and I went to this small breakfast eatery after staying on Clearwater Beach at the Sandpearl two weeks ago. Before staying on Clearwater Beach, I read the reviews and thought this would be a nice, inexpensive place to eat breakfast before leaving. Upon entering this establishment, we were completely ignored. It was not busy at all. No one greeted or even acknowledged that we were there. Eventually, we just sat ourselves. The place is tiny so I am hard pressed to believe no one saw us. After waiting for about 5 mins, the waitress came up to us, did not introduce herself and quickly rushed our order. We waited about 15 mins for our food. Again, not sure why it took so long being that it was not busy. After getting my food, there were small eggshell pieces in my eggs, coffee was cold (and was never asked if I needed a refill), sausage was alright. Guess you get what you pay for. I just wanted to hurry up and get out of the place, so my boyfriend got up to pay the bill and stood at the counter for 5 mins, while all the waitstaff and cooks walked passed him, leaning up against the wall in the kitchen and even eating. No one asked if he needed anything. When I noticed that he had been waiting for awhile, I finally got up and asked if anyone was going to let us pay the bill. Thats when someone wanted to speak up. A cook said, "Oh, we have to wait on the waitress that served you so that you can cash out." I asked, "Why couldnt anyone just have said that so hes not standing here wondering whats going on?" After we waited a few more mins on the waitress, we left. All I can say is, that this place really isnt even mediocre and that we will NEVER be back due to the service and the bad food. Dont waste your time! There are much better breakfast joints on Clearwater Beach.

Looked this place up and decided to visit based on reviews. Realized it was a smaller place via google and called to make sure there wasnt a crazy wait time. Called on the way, they said no wait time. When we arrived less than 5 minutes later, line was out the door. Went in to put our name in for the wait list anyway and stood there for at least 5 minutes with employees walking past and ignoring me. Finally, the blonde large girl who works there asked me what I wanted. I let her know I wanted to be added to the list and she looked at me like I was an idiot. We went next door and had a very nice breakfast.

First time in Clear water Beach and needed a quick & cheap lunch somewhere before meeting up with friends. This place had a sign that said it closed at 4. It was 3:30 so we were a little reluctant to go in in case they were already shutting down. We went in and took a chance. Very small place but clean with some interesting photos on the wall. Service was welcoming, fast and pleasant. We ordered a Cheeseburger and a Philly Cheese steak sub. Both were cooked fresh and delicious. Will certainly return if I am back in Clear Water Beach.

I would eat here again. But, the next time that I do eat here, Ill order the steak instead of the corned beef hash for breakfast. Not that anything was wrong with the hash, but the when I asked the waitress if they made their own she said that they did. The has they served was clearly from a can (or vacuum bag or some other "pre-made" variation). They did cook the hash to crispy, which I love. Not a bad experience at all but our server was either misinformed or clueless or just flustered.

First thing I do when I go to any new place is to find where locals go for breakfast. This is one of those place in tourist area. Breakfast is really good. They crack fresh eggs and not the one coming out of container. I ordered their eggs Benedict traditional style and it was out of this world. Ham was really good also, I liked their coconut sweet sauce that is home made and plus their special blend spice is fantastic. Their veggie omelette was excellent also, veggies were fresh.

I went there for lunch around 1pm on Christmas day for a Mahi Mahi Burger. It was absolutely delicious. I brought my family back for a late lunch around 3pm. My family had 2 Mahi Mahi Burgers and 2 Grouper Burgers. All 4 people in my family were terribly sick all night. I do believe that they served old food. The cook does not wash his hands, wiping the sweat from his forehead, touching the countertop, and serving all sorts of food.

My wife and I love this place. We make sure we stop here every time we go to Clearwater (we live in Arizona and visit Clearwater occasionally). The burgers here are so delicious. A trip to Clearwater beach would not be complete without a stop to the Beach Shanty Cafe. The mushroom Swiss burger is the best. The employees are always very friendly and helpful. This place is by far, our favorite burger place.

Which one? The Original has been on Mandalay for years - always good. Recently same owner opened up Beach Shanty 2 across from the new Hyatt - great breakfast - good coffee - always nice service from the gals... you may not find its the most awesome special breakfast you ever ate - but you will never be disappointed. Clean - well run establishment.

Great place for breakfast at the beach. Centrally located so it is a very popular place. The food tasted great, one of the best Belgian waffles Ive ever had and the bacon was cooked just right. The staff was quick and friendly. No problems at all. This is my new spot for breakfast now when Im in Clearwater.

Cute joint with a great breakfast! From out of town and rolled into this nice little breakfast place. Counter seating is my favorite so we grabbed two seats. Omelettes, breakfast sandwiches and pancakes are great! Service was very attentive. Turn and burn style place so dont worry about waiting too long!

This is a nice little cafe off the the beach. The food was a good value and the fries were solid! They also have breakfast which we did not have but would surly beat the standard powdered eggs breakfast from the hotels. Would for sure return.

Good quick service, nice amount of options, and the food tasted great. Sliced tomatoes were so fresh and perfect; fries were crispy and delightful. And they play 70s classics. Prices are reasonable. SO TASTY!
