This is my go to breakfast place on the weekend, hands down. George always manages to come up with incredibly inventive omelet specials each week. It is like he channels the omelet gods each and every time he comes up with a new idea. My absolute favorite one so far is without a doubt the Creole omelet: an omelet with Andouille sausage, onions and peppers, cheese, then covered with a crawfish gravy. It was as if New Orleans had exploded in my mouth. It was so good, we went back on Sunday for another one.

State Street Cafe might spur me to change how I rate restaurants. Id give them six stars if possible. Great, professional service without being over the top, everything was right the first time, and a very American atmosphere. I got the avocado omelette. And it was the best omelette Ive ever had. Avocado was perfectly ripe, tomatoes were juicy, cheese added a complementary flavor, and bacon brought it all home. Home fries on point too, crispy but not burnt. Definitely go here.

The food is great, when they get it right...which is barely ever. Maybe its to dissuade customers from ordering out, but very rarely have I gotten a correct order my first attempt. its even been so bad to the point where the person taking my order told me they didnt have a a menu item that was specifically on their online menu. TL;DR, if youre gonna eat here, eat in. dont order out.

Was recently introduced to this lovely little place a few months ago by a co-worker whos been eating here for years... food is incredible! Prices are VERY reasonable for the amount of food you get and the staff is wonderful! Highly, highly recommended. Since Ive been introduced, been meeting up with my co-worker and my cousin every Sunday for breakfast and I travel from Naugatuck.

The food here is great and reasonably priced. On the specials menu, $4.99 will get you two eggs, home fries, toast, and coffee. Definitely worth the trip. Also, the fact that this place is always bustling is a testament to the fast service and quality food.

Waitress left us waiting for a long time without a menu and did not tend to us at all until another waitress came and kindly took care of us. Service was a bit slow, but some of the people were kind. Food was great, big portions.
