Ive been to some Starbucks in cities, and enjoyed the kick back and relax feel. Some local Starbucks Ive visited locally seem to be just put there for its name. This is one of those great kick-back-and-relax Starbucks. I love its design that feels like your in the district of a city where cafes dominate and pull you away for a little while. The coffee and food is your typical Starbucks menu. Great cheese danish, and caramel macchiato was awesome. The best of this particular store is its service. They are cheerful and love to work together. This is a new store, so some are still learning. But to keep a positive attitude during your beginning months is tricky. They pull it off easily. It will take a little time for them to develop drive-thru window mechanics, but they are doing pretty good at this point already. The lobby is clean and looks like they keep it maintained very well. Manager works really hard and stays by each employees side when they need it, while getting her work done. And seems to it so effortlessly. Normally I dont give retail chains 5 stars, and Im not a big fan of Starbucks since I see them all over the world when I travel, ruining the feel of being somewhere else, especially in Asian countries. But this store is great, and I will be returning, and recommending others. It may be retail, but it has its own spirit. Oh, and I wish they made the lobby a little bigger. Its good, just Middletown does have a coffee culture that needs more attention.

The gentleman that took my order was very polite, friendly and professional. I customized my strawberry smoothie to not have banana as it says its a strawberry smoothie, not a strawberry banana smoothie. I didnt want banana. There was not a button on the cash register to eliminate the banana so he had to verbally tell them and I can see one of the higher-ups say, "shes going to be charged for it anyway". I said, "thats okay because I asked for double the strawberries which took the place of the banana. He was very, very nice. He reassured me that I would not be charged extra... quietly.

I go here pretty regularly hoping that my experience will be consistent. Its not. On good days, while Im drinks are done right, the wait is at least 20 minutes for a short line. On typical days, I can wait upwards of 30 minutes, my drink is wrong (despite the sticker being correct), and drinks are misplaced. Despite the issues, Im never given an apology, and the staff is argumentative and rude. Will not be returning any time soon. This store is the absolute worse! (2 star only because when the drinks are made right, they are excellent)

The other day I had ordered two cascara fraps and they were absolutely delicious... just now I had ordered the exact same uncomplicated items and it was full of ice and tastes nothing like cascara.. the best that I can describe it was like taking a sip of a simple dunkin ice coffee that had been sitting for a while and super diluted.. I then realised that when the ice settled it took up more than 2/3 of my venti cup leaving me with just a couple sips of coffee

First time at this Starbucks--ordered at the drive thru two medium house blend coffees, both light, with 2 Splenda in each. Got my coffee, paid almost $5 and started away when my passenger noticed her coffee was black and not sweetened at all. Mine turned out to be the same. Went back--not via the drive thru because the line was oh-so-long-and went inside to properly prepare my coffee. I could have received equal or superior service at McDonalds for 60% less.

My sister and I have given this place 3 tries and each time it has gotten progressively worse. The staff is rude and the orders have been made incorrectly all 3 times. While its new and they are still working out bumps..customer service, product knowledge, and correct orders should be top notch. I will continue to make the drive out to the newington location.

I went to this Starbucks 2 days in a row, what a mistake. The first day we waited in the drive through for half an hour just to get one drink. The second day I had asked if I could have a trenta and got a venti instead. I politely asked if I could have a bigger size and they simply charged more off of my card and poured the same drink into a bigger cup.

They were so rude. Telling me they dont have sausage egg and cheese in the menu when I orde ed it online! Like umm it was on your menu I ordered it. There was no reason for telling me Its not on the menu when I ordered it!!
