Food is great here, not gonna lie, but the service was hands down the worst Ive ever received. Get ready for a story and a half. My girlfriend and I had ordered $25 worth of food one night at around 8:00pm for delivery at my Branford address (right over the Branford/East Haven line, about 2 miles away from Foliage). An hour goes by and we have not received any phone calls from the delivery man or the restaurant so I call them back. They say he is on the way, so we let it slide and wait patiently. Its now reaching 10:00 and theres no sign so we call them back and we get the same response, "Hes on his way dont worry". Its finally 10:30, two hours have gone by, so I call them back and tell them that if he isnt here within the next 10 minutes that he can turn around and go back and they can keep their food. The delivery man finally calls me and tells me he is here. I go outside to meet him up and he is waving me down from the apartment complex across the street telling me to meet him up to get my food. I yelled back at him that it doesnt work like that so he ran over to my door. I told the delivery man that almost 3 hours had passed, I do not plan on paying full price for my food. All of the sudden, the delivery man "didnt speak a word of English" (he was fluent on the phone) and was telling my girlfriend and I that he "didnt understand". Then he told me that he grabbed the wrong food order and that our order was back in his car across the street. Once my girlfriend was looking at the menu to see that it was our order, he tried snatching the money out of my girlfriends hand. I shouted at him that this was my order and he shouted back at me to "Go f--k myself". After he swore at me, he ran back to his car with my food and peeled out of the lot. I went back inside, called Foliage back and angrily told them about my poor service and they told me that I was wrong and I should have paid full price. I hung up frustrated and settled on Twin Pines for the night. 11pm and Im finally eating dinner somewhere else. Then for the next two days, the delivery man was calling my number several times harrassing me telling me to go F myself, Im a piece of s***, etc. I told him that if he calls me again I am calling the police and pressing charges for harrassing me. That was the last I have heard from them and the last time I ever plan on ordering food from them ever again. I have told several people this story and I really hope that nobody has to deal with the issue I had that night. DO NOT ORDER TAKE OUT FROM FOLIAGE IN EAST HAVEN.

This is the 4th time ive ordered from this place 2 times ive picked it up and 2 times ive had it delivered. Both timesi had it delivered they refused to bring it to my door. They called me to tell me to meet them at his car. They have GREAT food. But they have poor delivery service. When i called the store to complain i got the driver and he hung up on me. When i asked for the owner. My suggestion is only order if you are willing to pick the food up.

Their food is good but unfortunately their service is TERRIBLE. They were our go-to Chinese restaurant for about a year but the last two times they have been over 45 minutes late and forgot a meal BOTH TIMES! We called to cancel the order because we didnt want to wait any longer for our food and we were hung up on. Unfortunately, we will never order from here again.

It is great to have excellent food, awsome service and great atmosphere all in the same place! the prices are very reasonable, the the food is delicous and mad to your taste, as well as freshly cooked... prepared in a clean kitchen, they greet my family and by name even bby phone order i couldnt ask for more!

I ordered a dish and when came it was not made the same way Im use to and when I was explaining it to the person who answered the phone they wont understandable and extremely rude. I will never order from them again plus there lo-mein is always too salty...

I enjoy my favorite dish general tso chicken all the time. the taste is always consistent. lots of selections on the menu. very clean kitchen, friendly people. i go pick up my order sometimes because their delivery is busy. but it is worth of waiting for :)
