I live in Austin, Texas and unfortunately had a death in the family to someone very close to me that lived in Bridgeport. Living 2000 miles away it was difficult for me to think of a way to help the family. I decided to send a tray of Italian pastries and Googled bakeries near the residence. Thankfully, Nice N Fresh was the first one that popped up. I called the morning of the service, praying they could make a large tray and deliver it. I didnt hold out much hope. I spoke to a very nice woman named Melissa. I explained my dilemma and she was extremely helpful. Expressing her condolences, she said they dont normally deliver, but due to the circumstances would try to find someone to run the order over. AND SHE DID!!!! She was very patient with me (this is 6 AM mind you) and explained what and how many pastries there would be on the tray and promising delivery by 1 PM. My family sent me a picture of the tray, that was there on time, and said the pastries were delicious. The tray was done up very well. A very heartfelt thanks to Nice N Fresh and especially Melissa for their kindness. My next visit home, their bakery will be one of my first stops to thank them in person. And to sample the delicious pastries.

This is place USED to be good but now it is TERRIBLE! I bought cookies that looked good under glass but when I got them home were actually frozen solid. Shame on them passing everything off as "Nice & Fresh." The worst part--I also bought a co-worker a whipped cream birthday cake (again behind glass looked okay) but I was so embarrassed when my coworkers cut into it. The whipped cream cake must have sat there for days because it was cracking at the base and it felt and tasted like dry rubber! This is not an exaggeration--most just dumped their piece after a few bites. Granted, the cakes do look good but they are not fresh or tasty as they appear! The WORST part is that "Nice and Fresh" does NOT stand behind their products and REFUSED to reimburse me or give me another cake when I visited them the next morning. If you DO NOT want to be embarrassed at a social event DO NOT buy your bakery goods from Nice and Fresh. Their food is anything but fresh and the customer service is DISGRACEFUL. The store sales help are rude as well. Sadly, a terrible terrible place.

I recently brought a cake from here for a baby shower. I gave the baker picture of how I wanted the cake to look. She couldnt do the bears so I told the baker that is fine just do everything else as is. I told the baker I wanted carrot cake with out all the nuts and extra stuff. I was told that they couldnt do that because its already premixed. So I paid 226 dollars for a cake that was not even made from scratch. Also when I pick up the cake it was not like the picture the baker was supposed to put little balls around the second tear and on the first tear there was supposed to be four zigzag lines and she only put three. Not only that I was told that the layers had to be a 50 person cake and my cake was small and looked like a 30 person cake. Was not pleased with it at all

My family and I went to this bakery on a Sunday around lunch time. This wasnt our first trip, we have had cakes made here and have stopped in whenever passing by to pick up some goodies. We bought a mixture of individual (PRICEY) goodies. When we got home, to eat them, the cannolis were SO STALE and SOGGY! (On top of the other pastries being mediocre at best) Not something I was expecting on a Sunday mid morning... I immediately called to speak with a manager. A manager was not in so I left my name number and voiced my complaint. Not a single person bothered to call me back. You lost us as a customer Nice N Fresh. Very disappointed.

I drive 20+ miles so that I can enjoy this exceptional bakery. I buy there bagels, sugar free pies and turnovers, blubbery rings, fresh pasta, stuffed pasta, European Rye Bread, I always spend at least 28$ and this is a very reasonable priced bakery. They make everything and its all outstanding. I do my most of my gift shopping there. There is a European Deli also, try the smoked bacon, its a taste, truly worth cultivating. This fabulous shopping center is one of my favorite destinations.

Ive been getting my cakes here for 14 years, for every occasion. Today i picked up a cake that i ordered and it wasnt the greatest. The image i gave them wasnt in the middle like i asked and the cake was kind of dry. I might have to consider looking for another place.

My mom grew up on Silve Lane but we live in Louisville, KY now. Whenever we travel to CT we have to make a stop here for the Chocolate Chip Cookies. Weve never had any like these and they are definitely a family favorite.
