While I was in the Washington Park Neighborhood, I decided to stop into Wash Perk for some breakfast and a cup of coffee. I sure am glad that I did! Walking into Wash Perk, it was obvious that this coffee shop boasted a home like ambiance. From draperies on the windows to the knick knacks placed throughout. Wash Perk just feels like grandmas house. I ordered a here cup and a ready made bowl of oatmeal (just add water!). Wash Perk offers an average variety of pastries and baked goods, including bagels, breads, and cookies. Be careful because you can very easily miss the large cooler at the end of the counter that has yogurts and even breakfast burritos. Wash Perk has at least one (1) self service toaster and microwave for warming your food. Although different, I didnt mind. The coffee that Wash Perk was serving on this particular morning was delicious and is what could set this shop apart from others. I opted for a light roast (just to get my feet wet) and I was pleasantly surprised! In all, for a cup of coffee and a bowl of oatmeal, I paid ~ $8.00, which is about what I would expect to spend at mainstream coffee shops (except I might get a banana as well!). The ambiance was where Wash Perk really separated itself! Although Wash Perk was busy (people were constantly in and out), I was able to sit and read a book without being disturbed (and I was sitting near the counter). I would definitely recommend Wash Perk based solely on food and coffee! The only reason that I did not give Wash Perk 5 stars is because the staff was really no different in terms of welcoming when compared to other shops (in fact, it may have been less). However, I will add that the service was really no different than other local shops in the area. I have definitely received better service from the competition.

@WashPerkCoffee Great location for a coffee shop. Spacious both inside and outside. Artwork, photo collages and trinkets retasked arty junk adorn the walls. The iced Americano was strong and delicious. It gave me a nice jolt. The oatmeal bar thingie was tasty and hearty. It really is all about location. The Washington Park neighborhood is historic and awesome. It was fairly busy for a weekday morning, a steady stream of people from all walks of life. It appears that joggers flock here after a run around Washington Park due to the sweat stained scantily clad work out gear apparel worn by some patrons. Other patrons wore cute summery sandals showing off their pedicure best. I laughed at the particular orders of some of these folks. Decaf light iced chai tea at 100.22°F? Breakfast bar cut into thirds and heated for 12 seconds only in the microwave? Medium hot coffee grounds with a pat of butter on the side? Decaffeinated sugar free vanilla skim milk latte with extra heavy cream?! Why spend the money? Just drink water. They have a nice selection of cold beverages in coolers, from Dry Soda Co to Big Bs juices to Naked juices to burritos and sandwiches. Overall a quaint coffee house with amazing people watching. Go to spy the social oddities representing all classes of society mixed with some snobbish beverage ordering (typical of all coffee shops). Youll be glad you did.

From the mismatched furniture to the selection of funny mugs to choose from, Wash Perk is anything but the same ol coffeehouse. I notice a great community vibe every time Im there, and the staff are fun & friendly. On any given morning you could find students & businesspeople using the free wifi, kids playing at their own kid-sized table, neighborhood regulars chatting casually, and at least three dogs leashed up on the patio. The drinks are great too!

If you like homey, quaint, cozy, and inviting coffee shops, then Wash Perk might be your new favorite hangout, whether you are there to study or meet a friend. Due to its location in the middle Wash Park West Neighborhood, it is much quieter than other coffee shops in the area. They also have a wonderful patio that overflows on to the sidewalk. With a wide array of drinks and snacks, you can always try something new.

For the past five months I have tried out new coffee shops each weekend. This one is the absolute best. Their coffee is outstanding, and the workers are the best. Most importantly it is a local coffee shop with lots of sitting space and people watching. It seems like all the Washington Park fun lovers come here to enjoy themselves. You will not be disappointed with this place

This is a great local coffee shop with lots of comfy couches and seating, either for groups or individual spots. There are high top seats to sit at and plug in your laptop which is a nice touch too. The staff is always friendly and they have great food options, including vegan options. If youre there in the morning, grab a breakfast burrito (theyre delicious).

My wife Jacqueline and I were in Wash Park and Googled coffee houses in the area. My wife came across "Wash Perk ". The staff was very friendly from the moment we walked into the door! Mika was very helpful in suggestions for coffee ,lattes, and chais. Great coffee and great atmosphere! Jacqueline loved her Lavender Macha Chai Latte! We will be back!

I have tried about 10 Denver coffeeshops and this one is my favorite. It meets all requirements: warm staff, extensive seating for cozy reading, group chats and serious study, high quality coffee and three brewed ice teas(!), and of course a broad selection of gf goodies, salads and burritos. Getting a study break jog in at wash park is just overthetop!

If you dont catch the Friends reference... its there haha. Love the name which brought me there in the first place (and squeezed out a 5th star). Its a pretty good latte, and a decent place to open a computer. I love the neighborhood that its in which makes it a cozy place to work. Much better than something on along a busy intersection.

The baristas were rude and spent the whole time talking to each other and ignoring their customers. Also most of the tables were covered in crumbs and old coffee mugs. The tables were rocky and unstable. Most of this could have been overlooked if the baristas had been more polite. However, despite all the negative, the prices are decent.

My coffee was delicious, there was a nice variety of gluten free pastries and the pumpkin spice bread was amazing! The place has lots of seating both indoors and out, clean restrooms, fast Wi-Fi and good music being played at a decent volume. I stayed for a few hours and did all of my school work for the week!

Like that neighbors home where everyone wants to gather for a cozy atmosphere, good food, good company, and GREAT coffee. Gorgeous patio as well. A staple to the community and ever generous with area charities. Spend your money here, at the local place, rather than the alternative chain coffee shop!

After the many years me and Bill came to Wash Perks. Its always been very good. They are very nice and not just that but they do a very good job serving me and Bill. We come here very often and they always tend to remember what we want to order. The same old same old.

Cute little homey coffee shop in Denver thats great for students to study in. Sometimes the table space is limited on the weekends, but overall a good place to grab a cup of coffee and gets some work done.
