My wife and I went to The Berkeley Inn last weekend. After having 2 rounds the bartender was going off shift and asked us if we wanted to close out our tab. Wanting to make sure she got tipped we paid it and gave her a nice tip $5. The next bartender(an nice looking young lady) served us a couple of rounds and at that point we where ready to go. On the new tab she charged us for an extra round; when I pointed it out to her she acted as though we were lying. I said okay forget it and paid the whole tab, while this was going on she tried to pull out of the trash proof that my wife ordered the amount she charged us for. At that bar they have mini bottles of wine. Of course she could not prove it but that did not change anything. What the heck it only cost me a couple dollars more then I would have tipped her so who cares, right! All it cost the bar was our business.

This is our favorite bar on Tennyson. It is a small bar that has live music on the weekends, cheap drinks, and a diversity of people. Surprised at the low rating which is why I am rating this place. People who want a hipster bar this is not the place. This is a local hang out and a classic one we will miss when we are eventually pushed out of the neighborhood.

My opinion is if you drive a truck with your business name on it, you shouldnt drive like a jerk and cut off people in your businesses neighborhood. I dont care if you are a "buzybee" or not. We were here first and dont like people that dont respect our neighborhood.

"Nicola" is one of the rudest bartenders Ive ever encountered not once but twice. ** Update 6/16/17 I will go back and assess my review after my next visit thank you for your response. BTW the renovation is spectacular.

A damn good old school BAR with cold drinks, great tunes, pool and no frills. Keeping it real while the neighborhood explodes with Yoga and Sushi.

Its the Berkley Inn for crying out loud. Cheap drinks good company and bad food. Thats what makes it so nice! The good food is next door at DJs.
