I gotta be sincere, though these folks are REALLY nice and it fits a rapidly dying niche, their food was really low quality and I could barely choke it down. The chilaquiles was literally ALL straight out of a can products. I mean it was sad, and I would give it less stars but its clearly a family establishment run by nice people. But please update and improve your menu. This review may sound like Im a snob, but I love a greasy spoon as much as the next large man. But with Ts up the block or SO many good options I cant fathom why folks eat here. Sorry Hideaway , but no love here.

What a gem! This spot was just down the street from our rental and we had a lovely breakfast! It was 10am on a Saturday morning of 4th of July weekend so we were super surprised to get seated right away for our party of 5. The service was excellent and the food was delicious and generous portions. The restaurant is funky and fun beach decorations in a super cool old building covered in vines. We will definitely return on our next trip to solana beach

They have a nice little patio which I recommend because the inside is very small. Nice older ladies serving food and they were able to do side orders/customise for me. I saw some giant Danishes inside, but didnt try them. Also, make sure you go inside first and let them know you want to sit on the patio, otherwise you will not be noticed.

My family has been taking me here for years. They are always so nice here. The food is diner style, but Im partial to the huevos rancheros. The smoothies are also really great. I hope this place stays here for decades to come. It is a great representation of true Solana Beach local culture.

Wonderful breakfast place in an ancient garage, perfect funk for Solana beach. Decent home cooked style meals. This is a local place not a tourist trap. We met a beautiful couple 67 years of marriage he was 90 and a native of Solana beach. Stories in the walls here!

Oh man this place is cute. I have to admit Ive never been here after about 9am so I cant attest to how crowded it might get but it is super small and quaint. The food is down-home good and the orangy french toast things are amazing as are their sweet rolls.

Exceptional food in a tiny space, with additional tables on the small porch. My husband ordered an avocado omelet and declared that it was the best omelet hed ever had. Service is great and the ladies are very friendly and welcoming.

Amazing. The people who work here are fantastic. The food is the best. Everyone should try this restaurant. The only thing I dont like is its dog friendly. Im fine if the dog is able to stay under the table, most dont.

I visited San Diego in the early 1980s, before Top Gun, before the Real Estate boom(s) and bust(s). If you want to see what real N. County SD was like before all the nonsense - this is it. Authentic!

Best hash browns in the area, magical muffins, servers are welcomung and friendly in a down-to-earth way. A tiny place that should stay that way because it is perfect the way it is. Love it!!!

An enjoyable hole in the wall experience that I found strongly similar to a home cooked breakfast. The hashbrowns were crispy and delicious. The eggs were cooked well.
