My daughter and I have been driving from Echo Summit to eat here for over 8 years. My favorite was the Chili Colorado, best I had ever had.....until last month. I stopped by to get dinner to go for us and drove home. Naturally, we were eager to "dive in". It was great as usual, except that the beef ( every bite) still had the fat membrane. Not the fat, but the thin, greyish-white, too-tough-to-chew, stomach churning membrane. The cook got lazy and didnt take the few minutes it takes to trim the meat before cooking. It literally revolted my daughter and me, and as a consequence, fed both meals to the dogs. If I didnt live 60 miles away, I would have brought it back. Next time I will eat there and send it back if I get the same" trim job ". They are always so good and consistent, that I will give them another chance. Maybe it was a new, inexperienced cook.

Colina De Oro youll be missed. Loved going here. Great food, super nice staff and all the chips and bean dip or salsa you want. Unfortunately they have closed but it has reopened as LOS AMIGOS. Food not the same spicy mexican as Colina De Oro but hopefully the new owners will get back to that and not be so bland and bring back the bean dip. I have a sensitive tummy but thats what I want when I go for Mexican food is lots of flavors and I dont like salsa because of the raw onions. Will try it again before final decision to find another Mexican restaurant to favor.

I have eaten at Colina De Oro many times. The food is good and comes to you fast (sometimes too fast). My complaint is about the food, its about one of the waitresses. The blonde haired waitress is as sweet as can be, just a peach! The dark haired waitress with her hair slicked and pulled back tight, is rude and not friendly at all. She makes you feel like she is pissed off you came through the door. Shes horrible! The owner needs to get rid of her and hire someone that is pleasant and makes you feel welcome, try it, you may get more business!

Just when you think Mexican food cant surprise you or do it a little differently,... Great salsa and bean appetizer salsa, great food and nice people. Adobado tacos were delicious, and really fresh (real) guacamole. Good stuff.

So disappointed. My husband called in a pick-up order tonight. He ordered a cheese quesadilla with avocado. What I got was quacomolle. I am so sensitive to onions I could not eat my meal.
