Best sandwiches in town. I can get sprouts and provolone as normal topping offerings. This is truly a destination deli worth traveling for, as I have done from West Side a few times when Im in the mood for deli. The bread is always fresh and tasty, the meat and toppings are generous, and they have a number of salad options as well. Round that out with a full corner store worth of drink and side options that has been successfully operating next door to a major chain neighborhood store and you have the recipe for the best lunch experience that doesnt involve waiters. Seriously, if you are just visiting Santa Cruz, this is the place you want to each lunch at, because, sadly, the deli closes at 4pm. (you can still buy pre-made refrigerated sandwiches and salads after, but its just not the same).

I would call those just AVERAGE for deli subs. I had both a Roast Beef and cheese on mild sourdough roll, and a pastrami. About 8"s,my hand length. On a Sunday lunch ,the counter was closed, so picked sandwiches out of a case. Turkey seems least favorite as that was mostly what was left. Place is very neat and clean with 4 small tables inside. A great sub was the original Togos at SJSC in the 60s and almost no one wants to make a sub that Good anymore.

Best sandwiches around at a great price. Selection is wonderful and there are daily specials. My three favorite sandwiches are the hot pastrami, the gobbler, and the turkey and cheese with chipotle sauce. Garden Liquor is worth a visit, I have been going there for over ten years and have never had a bad sandwich.

This is my favorite deli EVER EVER❣️❣️❣️ My family ansd LOVE it. Ive never had a bad meal or experience at Garden Deli. Sandwiches are uber DELICIOUS! I highly recommend Garden Deli for eating and great prices on liquor too.
