Mediocre food options, but the concept is great. I barely see Karnataka restaurants in the US. Entering this made me feel closer to home. Seeing Kannada writings bought me a lot of joy! The masala dosa is not Bangalore style at all and could have been a lot better. Not sure why they make Chennai style dosa calling it Bangalore style. The maddur vade is very delicious. What I did not like about here is the man behind counter. He is so grumpy and rude to the customers. I know you are one of a kind café but learn to value your customers.

Ok food. The owner (male) is uncouth and rude. I ordered set dosa for 1st time at this restaurant and didnt see any Sambhar (lentil soup). I just asked the guy if I can get some Sambhar and he growled at me..."What you see on the plate is what it comes with". As a restaurant owner one needs to be hospitable. The guy at the counter instrad growls at paying customers. Stay away from this place! There are better places around that serve much better south Indian food and have decent people serving the food.

We went there expecting food that tastes like food in Bangalore. Apart from the name, nothing really came anywhere close to food in Bangalore. Masala Dosa has a paste like feel to it and the potatoes were not pressure/steam cooked enough. For someone eating south India food for the first time, they might get impressed by the variety and change. However, for someone having tasted good south Indian food, you will easily notice the subpar experience.

Most unfriendly person in Bay Area works in banagalore cafe. We checked in this restaurant for the first time and the person who was taking our order in the counter doesnt understand our order and in top of that he was rude to us. We tried to still remain calm and polite. Food was just average. I will never return to this place and I would highly recommend anyone to stay away.

Tasty south Indians snacks. One of the best places to hangout if you stay near Santa Clara or Sunnyvale. The cashier is a grumpy old man The prices are affordable and the food quality is food. The ambience needs little improvement I would suggest to try Set Dosa and Upma.. The snacks like Samosa and Pani puri is very average

A south-indian restaurant with usual tiffin items like dosa, idly, kesari , rava idly, rava dosa. Other items on Menu are bisibelebath, puliogare, chaat items like pav bhaji, bhel, papdi chaat etc. Kesari baath, upma, vada, set dosa, rava idly are good. Rava dosa was too oily(Oil seemed a little old.).

When we were young we used to crave for kulfi. This place always reminds me of it. Their wada pav is ok but there are no other choices in south bay. Pav bhaji is terrible and so is the other attempts to non south indian food. Bisibelli bhat, utappam, dosas all are good. The staff is also good.

A hidden gem for sure. If you really feel like having good Dosa, and dont feel like waiting ifor a long time in places like Madras Cafe, you should give Bangalore Cafe a whirl. Try the Mysore Masala Dosa. It is slightly different, but really good. Solid 4 for me.

Awful microwaved food. Burnt Vada made from frozen batter. Microwaved Idli. Thin and watery Sambar. Somewhat spoilt vegetables in the Bisibele Bath. Not even cheap. There are lots of better options in the area for quality south indian food.

Best butter masala dosa in the country and the only place Ive found that serves Masala puri (a Bangalore street snack). Its ambience is like an authentic old school cafe in Bangalore. It has great kulfi and street food.

The orders dont come in a single call and instead they make you wait and announce your order number on the mic. The dosa is full of oil, which is unhealthy. Sambar is typical Bangalore sweet sambar and its very good.

Best place for Dosa. I believe this is only place in bay area where you will get authenticated Dosa like south Indians; Madras cafe, Anand Bhavan have re-defined dosa and make money.

This is not a Real Bangalore food vending cafe. We had Rava iddly, chutney was sweet. Aloo sagu was very bad. Just mashed pottto. Rava dosa was also bad sweet in taste. Horrible

Tasted well...surprised that pav for vada pav was more of hot-dog bread rather than indian pav (given that there are lot of places in bay area serving indian pav)
