I have mixed feelings about this place. On the plus side, its a nice space, they have free (fast) wifi and the staff are great and friendly. On the downside, they seem to still be finding their way as a restaurant (the space also functions as a food startup incubator). Some examples of that: - closed on Mondays (Mondays??) - no breakfast on Tuesdays - why? - they close at 4, so no dinner hours - inconsistent hours in general - hard to plan to go there when you have to break out your pivot table to determine if they are open and what they are actually serving that day - no decaf coffee - pricey food for small portions - kitchen is inflexible in meeting customer requests I have been there a number of times for breakfast (around 10). I cannot eat egg yolks (intolerant) so I ask for egg whites. Every breakfast place in the Bay Area that I have been to accommodates requests like this. In fact, I have never really been anywhere in the US where they dont. Usually they charge extra for this but Im ok with that. Each and every time I order this breakfast this way, I initially get "we dont do that." And then I ask them to ask the kitchen and they have reluctantly done it. Every time its this back and forth. For some reason they dont want to do it. Figure it out, guys. Figure out how to do what *literally* everyone else does. Your bacon and eggs and potatoes comes in at a precious $17. I deserve to have my eggs the way I want them. Note to management: if you arent aware of this, please take action now that you are. Its exasperating to have to argue for my food. Rant over.

Awesome space in a well hidden part of Burlingame, just off of the 101. The coffee is great. The service is friendly and not rushed. In the back is a large co-op kitchen that is used by local businesses to prepare food. Really wonderful sense of community. They sell bakery from the kitchen so its different almost everyday. But they do consistently have excellent bread, so you can order sliced bread with your coffee. Its awesome. Update: definitely have brunch/lunch here. Henrys #5 Kitchen does the best comfort dishes. We had the salmon scrambled eggs and pork chops and they were fantastic.

Ive visited this place on 2 occasions. Both times with my friend. We loved their pumpkin bread, scones, homemade bread and their coffee. Its a store, its a cafe and its an industrial kitchen! The industrial kitchen can be rented out for several hours and apparently they will be hosting some cooking/baking classes sometime soon. I love their wooden decor of tables/chairs...its very clean and modern. Ill be back for sure.

Beautiful new cafe in an industrial part of San Mateo. The staff is passionate about baked goods and coffee. They serve San Franciscos Sightglass coffee, too! They have great cookies and crossaints as well. They just added a Charcuterie Sandwich menu during lunch time. I gotta check that out next!

Every Thursday night they have an amazing jazz trio playing both jazz classics and jazz covers of pop hits like Nirvanas Smells Like Teen Spirit! Great dinner items and craft foods from local businesses making great products. (I love the granola company there!)

Twenty five food startups are incubated in this big space with a common kitchen and a cozy space for breakfast, lunch and snacks. Definitely get off of the 101 highway and stop here (just one minute from the Peninsula exit). And the coffee is good too!

Baked goods and food very good. The passionate approach can lead to slow delivery, so be ready to relax awhile if you order food. I really enjoy going here for a bite. Schedule a bit unusual, cafe not open on Mondays, though the little store is.

We enjoy the relaxing environment, friendly service and Chef Henry Engs creation. His bubble and squeak, our favorite, onion soup is great (wish it was more!), tripe is unforgettable. We come every weekend

This is a great place filled with healthy homemade foods. They have dairy free and gluten free items as well. Lots of love goes into their foods and beverages. Come on by and check this place out :-)

As an Australian, this coffee is amazing. Definitely on par with what we get down under. And the soft scrambled eggs with prosciutto were divine. Clean bathroom too. Highly recommend this place.

The food was fresh and flavorful, but I thought that the price was much too high. Same goes for the many products that they sell.

$24+ lunch and I am still hungry. The portions were appetizer sized and the flavors were average to above average at best.
