Very tasty burgers, and the onion rings are very good too. Portions are huge, so we decided to share the Sh-Boom, which is open-faced on grilled sourdough with home made chili on top. The burger patty is cooked to order, so we ordered it medium. The chili is very flavorful, and has a little spicy kick to it. The onion rings are tender inside, but still have a little bit of a bite to them instead of being overcooked and pasty. The outer crust of the onion rings is very crispy but not overcooked. Prices are a bit on the steep side, but so are the portions. Unless you are a really big eater, plan on sharing to save money and avoid having to leave food behind or taking home leftovers. Also, you can get a coupon from other shops for a free root beer float with your meal. We found our coupon at the Red Dirt Shirt shop at the Maui Ocean Center.

I come here once a month or so and love it every time. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is consistently really good and I always know that Ill be happy with my choice. Whenever we have a special lunch at work, my coworkers and I always come here to treat ourselves. I also notice some of the same customers who must be regulars, which is always a good sign. I worked in a restaurant for close to ten years and I know a good one when I see it.

Great Burgers and onion rings, they even have specialty sodas which my kids are a fan of. And as Im sure anyone thats been here is aware, Cool Cat Cafe doesnt hire "bigots". Its 2013 people, the race card is out. Please, if your a minority, and have a bad experience somewhere, dont play the race card, it only makes you look like fool.

Had been to the one on Maui ..this one in SLO is the original. A 50s style diner with 50s decor, burgers, fries and shakes and classic diner food. Had the burger of the month AuJus burger ...yummy ...also have Adult milkshakes which I am looking forward to trying on my next visit. Nice place to enjoy a satisfying meal.

Went on saturday nov 10 in the afternoon we were not acknowledged at all completely ignored. We had to ask to be seated and ask to be served. A waitress continually glared at us and rolled her eyes. I am a minority and i do feel we were treated poorly due to blatant bigotry. Is 2012 people MOVE FORWARD.

Was super busy at lunch but the food was great. Burgers so big you cant fit your mouth over them! Our server was great but they dont have a baby changing station and they sent my wife to our car to change him and gave our booth away making us wait longer than we should have on our hour lunch.

Absolutely terrible service. Walked in and sat at the bar and waited for ten minutes for someone to take my order. When I was tired of waiting I was walking out the door and finally had the door person offer to have my order taken. Ill never go back.

We stopped in for a shake, and a shake we got. Really nice throwback charm from the menu, but more so from the charming staff that was all smiles and helpful despite being busy. Also, the three shakes I tried wont let me choose a favorite.
