After recently moving to the Bayview from the Taqueria-rich Mission area, I expected nothing short of disappointment from the Mexican places in my new neighborhood. How wrong I was! La Laguna has some of the best Mexican food around. Their veggie nachos are amazing: not only do they put regular delicious melted cheese, sour cream, beans, salsa, and heaps of fresh avocado on them, but they also smother them in that melted nacho cheese-type stuff you get on hot dogs. Its the best thing ever. In fact, Id even recommend a journey out to the View just for a visit to La Laguna. A-plus!

Went because of all the good reviews. - Food was just ok. Nothing special. - Prices a little on the high side for a no-frills taco place that smells like disinfectant. Not too high - just 15-20% up. - Extra cheap in everything they provide you (besides the extremely low lighting, disinfectant smelling dining room): 1 napkin - no others in sight and the counter-woman grimaces when you ask for another, chips cost extra - ok but then they shouldnt be stalish and give you just a little skimpy portion of salsa.

All I ever get is the fish tacos which always satisfy! Fresh, tasty, super-friendly, easy parking, I call them in and have 100% satisfaction with about 20 visits. OK, a friend picked up a couple al pastor tacos for me once and they were great too. It would be a fine place to eat in too if you want.
