Please dont let Pho 5th Ave be your first pho experience. They make lucrative business because its in prime locale. Smack dab in the middle of, you guessed it, 5th Ave. Service is fast, but thats just like any other pho restaurant. They be stewing up that broth for days! They just dont have the right ingredients. Missing key components, the broth isnt fragrant enough. Not enough balance of sweet and spice. Pricier than what I normally pay for a bowl of pho. Not worth it only unless youre absolutely desperate for pho and not willing to drive out of Hillcrest.

Came here for lunch and to satisfy my phó craving. The service was friendly and quick. But upon ordering two bowls of pho, they served us soggy brown bean sprouts, as well as mint, dry brown jalapenos, and limes. Which immediately turned my appetite around, and didnt even wait for the phó to make it to the table. Just around the corner there is Saigon on Fifth, which is similarily priced, and satisfied my craving. Not only was it better, they didnt serve us spoiled vegetables. And the ambiance much more comfortble, and cleaner.

Must get: R6 marinated beef over rice that comes with a side of veggies and a fish sauce dipping sauce. Its marinated really well and you see the grill marks. Theyre thin but tasty. The entree is a pretty decent size. Definitely filling for one person. This place is authentic and even if in a trendy area they still have decent prices (not as cheap as convoy though) compared to other restaurants that mark up for the area.

Service was very rushed, and I felt a little racially profiled due to my attire. I am a African American female and I had just got finished at the gym so I had my sweatpants on with a hoodie, with my hood on due to the rain. When getting served at the restaurant there seemed to be some hesitation. Overall did NOT like this place.

If youre down for a big (a.k.a. "Small") bowl of some good broth, meat and fresh mint, bean sprouts and jalapeños, look no further. I had the meatball pho, and it was satisfying and cost about $8. The server was nice too, brought out our waters right away, and the food followed not too long after that. Definitely worth a try.

Great experience! Love the atmosphere, A+ service, very fair prices! Pho was good but not amazing, vegitable selection was wanting. Could easily be a 5 Star Location if a little more thought was put into pho prep and ingredient selection and house prepared condiments were offered instead of inexpensive store bought.

Tried the Bahn-mi veggie sandwich and it was good. It wasnt on the menu but they had no problem making one with tofu. The person running the place seemed like a nice person. We were going to order the Vietnamese coffee at night, and he advised us against it, saying that you wont be able to sleep at night.

Just did not particularly like the broth in the pho. Tasted sweet to me. Had to add lime to change the flavor, which I dont like to do. The restaurants name specifies their specialty and not sure why all great reviews, but just like anything else... Its a matter of taste and opinion.

This is just an all around solid pho restaurant. Relatively fast service, nice waiters, cheap prices. The pho was solid (I loved the broth), but I was kind of unhappy with the portions of meat. I wish that they put more meat in the pho itself, but the pho was good besides that.

My first experience was years ago and it was great. This past time was a disaster. Order was incorrect...The manager had taken our order and spoke clearly when we ordered. After we had a question, he had his assistant attempt to fix it and after that didnt work. Well, you.see.

This place has one of my favorite pho bowls. Theyre decently priced and very savory overall. The salad was also great and everything was aromatic and fresh. My only complaint is their service as it can be slow and rude at times. But the food is extremely delicious.

Im not big on Pho but their Fifth Avenue special is a meat lovers dream. Piled high over delicious noodles and a light broth is a plethora of pork and chicken in different styles. So if you arent into Pho but like meat. This place has you covered.

Easily my favorite Phó restaurant. The broth is super flavorful and the proportions of meat and noodles is perfect. Parking is obviously an issue in Hillcrest, but you can pay to park at the pharmacy parking lot nearby.

The pho and vermicelli is pretty good. The size is rather small they only sell one size and its equivalent to a small at other places. Prices are typically $8-$10 dollars. They do serve boba drinks and sandwiches also.

This is a great place for Pho. The broth is delicious and the portions large enough to satisfy (the "small" is a good meal, the "large" is like a bathtub). Im also a fan of their spring rolls.

Great pho place in the middle of Hillcrest. Very cheap and they give you a lot of pho! I have also tried their baguette sandwiches--which are also really good. They offer take-out too.

Waited 18 min for them to take our order, we hailed a waiter and he pointed at another waitress that she would help us instead. It was not busy at all. Time of visit 3pm

The phó is delicious! The only reason I didnt give it 5 was because the service was lacking a bit, waiting over 10 minutes for the check.

This is my second favorite place to eat in the city. The food here is cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the SP2, shaking beef.

I love pho and I eat it at many places. This one is at a 7.8/10 over all rating for me based on price/quantity/quality/flavor.
