Back home in Nor-Cal (YC/Sac). There is only 1 Korean BBQ spot I know of "OZ". In SD there are Several on Convoy St. Some with Huge Elaborate signs & lights, some with Fancy 5 Star prices & atmosphere, & one in particular that is tucked back from view of the street, in a small suite of a shopping center. With not a Large Occupancy. That one is Jeong Won, & In my Opinion the best of them all. There are NO "Priced Packages" with different contents of meat that Everyone in group must purchase. There is no trying to get your server & tell them you want more food items, & No waiting for your server to bring those next food items to grill. Nope at Jeong Won, Everyone Pays about $20 +Tax and all of the Items you grill up are in a Self-Service Buffet style set-up where you can get up and get what you want and as much of it at any time!!! Cool Quaint Atmosphere with various funny wall displays. Jeong Won is Hands Down my Favorite Korean BBQ joint on the Face of the Planet!!!

In sum, this might be one of my favorite restaurants Ive been to. I came here at 1:00 pm on a Sunday with one other person. We were seated immediately. Each group has in front of them their own personal grill. The wonderful waitress took our order and then instructed us to the section where you pick up the raw food. This place is all do it yourself. They have the typical Korean BBQ sides in addition to a large selection of raw veg and meat ( they were all unfrozen and there were marinated choices as well as non marinated). They also have a section where you can pick up several different choices of sauces. I want to have children, grow old, and die next to a few of those sauces. They are that good. There is a two hour limit, but within this timeframe you are allowed to eat as much as you want. You grill everything right in front of you. It costs $25.00 per person ( tip not included ).

Freshest Best Food around I drive from chula vista to eat the amazing variety. Best sauces hand made daily the Ginger Sesame sauce is to die for and those pancakes I could eat those as a meal all by themselves. Atmosphere WOW family style and grill your own and WHAT I get to pick what I want from a buffet and how much I w want of it. These other Korean restaurants all you can eat they chose how much is on your plate not here you chose what you want how you want it cooked get to eat it direct from the grill and enjoy till youre full! And the owner She is cute and sweet as well cant go wrong with Jeong Won!!! This food is BOMB¿☆

I havent been here in a while but this place rocks! Meat quality is precisely good. Happy hour everyday! 1/2 off ! come on! Last time I came here it was packed! Waiting list was long! But its worth the wait! As soon as you get seated you can start! Employees were friendly! There was this short girl who was just back and forth. Another girl just kept checking up on us, Service here is a no doubter. I also liked the different signs throughout the restaurant! People actually take pictures of the signs because they are hilarious! Overall, I like this particular Korean restaurant because its ALL YOU CAN EAT! You cant pass that!

If you feel like grilling your own food then Jeong is for you. A good variety of meats and vegetables with few selection of appetizers to boot. All this, but you have to get up and get yourself. I dont mind since it will have you moving instead of sitting all the time. You also have a good selection of sauces for your taste and plenty of rice. The staff are quick, helpful, and friendly. Then again I have a crush on one certian lady there. Besides that be prepared for long waits during the evening hours and weekends. Yet, the wait will be worth while.

Good for All You Can Eat Korean BBQ. Jeong Won has the edge over Manna in that you can serve yourself so you dont have to wait. But I think the meat quality is lower. They do offer some more exotic options at times (frog legs, chicken feet, seafood) The problem is this place is small and gets very packed and the smoke filtration isnt as good as Manna, so your clothes end up stinking like smoky meat for a day or so. Prices are reasonable and they have honey pig, bulgogi, sirloin and a wide array of vegetables as well.

Usually go to Chopstix across the street but wanted to try something different. Didnt know what to expect but wound up pleasantly surprised! You choose your own meats, veggies and sauces then cook everything at the table on a grill and everything is tasty! Make sure you ask how things work and for suggestions, everyone there, including other customers, are more than happy to assist. So good that my little boy with a picky appetite tried just about everything (including beef tongue)!

We came here for lunch around 1pm, the place just had one other table there. They dont have a menu, its just all you can eat Korean BBQ. The plates are stacked above the meats and side dishes. You only use your dish once and just grab what you like and how much you like. We went with trying a bunch of different things and then going back to get seconds for the things we like. As for the ban chan (side dishes), the selection is much smaller here than other places Ive been.

Choices! Get a table, then get up and grab an empty plate. Fill it up with all raw meats and fresh veggies which you will BBQ yourself on the table (every table has its own built-in gas grill). Great with friends. I would have rated it 5 stars if it werent that expensive. All-You-Can-Eat price is around $17 per person, plus beverage extra, tax and tip and you end up spending around $25 per. :-/ I will come back again sometime. The service is excellent. Friendly staff.

One of my favorite all you can eat KBBQ places. This is very non pretentious place with a relaxed feel. There is no pressure to flag down waiters to get you more meat since you pick it out yourself. I was always kinda turned off by the fact that certain places make you order plates that they pile on and have a warning about charging you if you waste food. Here you get to pick, but keep in mind the wasteful rule still applies; you just have more control of it.

Ive never written a review on a place before, but this place by far deserves one. Literally the best experience Ive had. Not only was the staff absolutely amazing, but the food was unforgettable. Very laid back, no hurry kinda thing. If youre considering a place to eat and you come across this, you need to go. You wont regret it. The price is great as long as youre hungry. All around deserves 5 stars. Keep up the great work!
