My REVIEW ONLY RELATES TO MY EXPERIENCE TODAY I am heartbroken!!! Until today, Richies Rancho Cucamonga was my favorite restaurant anywhere. Im a cheap date - I go to Richies for a patty melt. Apparently they have changed their bakery, which Changed the flavor of the patty melt. It may sound stupid to be sad about a Patty Melt - but hey, it was something Dad (RIP) and I did....we were always on the hunt for the best Patty Melt in town. Found it at Richies. Now, I had driven quite a way with a friend to have a Patty melt. Our waiter, Abraham, treated me like I was nuts. I said the sandwich was "different", and he argued with me!! He kept insisting that "maam, that IS a patty melt". I said "I know, but its different". Him: "there is nothing different, a patty melt is a patty melt. I ordered one on sour dough. I didnt enjoy it. I decided to make up for my disappointment with your wonderful cobbler. It was overcooked, the crust was burnt and the boysenberry was really just boysenberry soup. I have been there at least 50 times, with my husband, with my friends, and by myself and we always loved Richies food! Guess the start for the perfect patty melt starts again! Miss my dad, and will miss Richies (that waiter was the deal breaker!)

Ordered the tri tip with hash browns and muffin. The jam the muffin comes with is very tasty and goes well with the buttered English muffin. Hash browns were crispy and overcooked, but then again I prefer my hash browns to be on the softer side so thats subjective. The coffee here is similar to IHOPs in that you can ask for flavored creamer (Irish cream, hazelnut, and French vanilla were the ones I saw when I went) if you dont like your coffee black. They try really hard to get you to buy something by surrounding the cash register area with miscellaneous items (seriously, why are there Star Wars toys/candy at the front of this place?) but I suppose its something nice to look at while youre waiting in line. Place is overall very clean and the tables are neat and tidy. I recommend coming here over Dennys or IHOP by a long shot. The wood smokers out front are an excellent way to draw the steak and egg crowd in the morning too.

We have known about Richies Diner for about a year now and finally tried it because my daughters school held a fundraiser there. We were sitted immediately and the waiter came got our drink orders. And then after our drinks were delieverd we order our food. They are a little pricey for family dining but wanted try it out. All three of us were delighted. The food was hot prepared perfectly and the drink refills kept coming. The cherry pie I orderd for desert which I asked him to prepare for home was not that great! Its hard to get a good piece of cherry pie! So other than that everything was mmmm mmm good. We would have kept the price a bit less if we hadnt went crazy with all the candy they have to offer! I havent had Zotz in forever, and my daughter tried it for the first time and is hooked! So try it out. The atmosphere is nice and 50s! :o)

I would not recommend eating here. But the only good thing that came out of this was the service. Nice people. But Ive eaten there 3 times (after seeing the good reviews I thought maybe one time would be bad then try again) so far and the food has been bland, or not prepared well. Last night, I ordered the "tri-tip hoagie" and it arrived luke warm. Even their so called famous onion rings was dripping grease! I asked them to heat it up and seems like they just "popped" it in the microwave. The roast beef was very dry and bland! Had to order au jus just to give it some flavor! What a bad way to spend $40 bucks on a family dinner! Id rather spend my $40 bucks on a good McDonalds dinner! Sorry guys - but the foods gotta get a heck of a lot better for that price were paying you guys for!

I celebrated my daughters 1st birthday here. It was a small party of 4adults and 2 children. Originally it was for 10 people and when I had called to reserve that many only 45 minutes ahead of the time we were going to arrive, Richies did so without a problem. Everyone was satisfied with their dinners. Didnt really here anyone say they were coming back for more of what they had but I didnt hear any complaints either. I gave 4 stars because our waitress didnt keep our drinks full, at all, as in like did not refill our drinks. She didnt check on us maybe but twice in the hour and a half we were there and had to ask another waitress for our check. The place was clean and a lot of extra goodies for sale there as well.

We had been passing by this place for a while, and finally decided to give it a try... It exceeded all our expectation! First of all this is one of the cleanest restaurants Ive seen in a while. The place looked spotless. They have an awesome assortment of lollipops and those flavored sticks up front (Which I was able to use to bribe my toddler to behave :) The staff was very friendly and the food was great. Salads were big and very fresh, and my sons burger was wonderful, and tasted just like one at a family BBQ) Very simple, but great for diner food! (the best part is we fed a family of 3 for only $32!! +tip) That is unheard of!!!! We will definitely be coming here often.

Sooo worst service ever. Not sure if it was the server, or the kitchen...or both! I ask for iced tea with no Lemon. I was served warm tea with no ice. I waited and waited and waited for the server to return. Finally we grabbed the bus boy, and about 5 minutes a cup of ice arrived. I added sugar, only to discover the sugar craft was filled wih....salt. Reuben sandwich was shortchanged on the meat and the fillings. The ribeyes steak was incredible 5 star. I ordered a salad, that never arrived. Finally....manager stopped by and offered to help. Too little, too late. Like I said, not sure where the breakdown happened...but it was bad!

Theres really nothing that isnt good on this menu..milkshakes are a must try and they have the best cinnamon rolls!! The manager was rude to me and kept on insisting he wouldnt sit me after he called me because my party wasnt all there. After I explained that my family was sitting in the car because there was no room inside to sit, he was still treating me disrespectfully! My family was parked right outside the front door and took less than 3 min to join me inside once I motioned to them that our table was ready. He insisted on having the last word..very unprofessional.

Came here after csusb graduation. Super busy. They handled everything like pros. Greeters, waitresses, cooks...great job! Our order was a tiny bit mixed up but they corrected it. The food was AMAZING. We both had the breakfast sampler: Buttermilk biscuit (gravy on the side), scrambled eggs, bacon slice , ham slice, sweet/savory sausage half, tri tip beef slice, home style potatoes, berry jam. Ordered coffee, decaf, & orange juice (fresh squeezed) to drink. Evrything was bomb. Although I think Dennys coffee and decaf are better. Our server, Yolanda, was excellent.
