The food is excellent but not worth your time or money. We eat at Sala Thai at least once a month. We know the service will be horrible, but the quality of the food normally out ways the crappy service. Today - different story! We arrived around 12:45; the whole front room was empty minus one table. We practically had to seat ourselves. We waited 15 mins for attention/menus - which we finally asked for. We stole silverware off another table because they didnt bring us any. We had to find a server to take our order. My lunch partner ordered a Thai Ice Tea - they brought regular tea because they were out of half n half. We asked where our salads were, they were out of salad. After receiving our food I asked them to comp our drinks (at least) - they refused to comp my glass of wine. So after all that, I got charged $18.45 for a chicken dish and a glass of wine - $10 for a glass of wine! I have since tried to reach the manager and the owner - but no one is available. One of those experiences that JUST MAKES YOU MAD!!

I have been to Sala several times during the day Monday through Friday. I did not have any problems with the service or the food. HOWEVER, I took a friend for this first time yesterday at 4:00pm. There was a girl sitting in a chair behind the counter. She was responsible for seating, taking your orders, etc. She was the WORST!!!! She did not great one person as they walked in the restaurant. She never asked how you were doing or if you needed any drink refills. She sat on the chair, with her butt crack showing playing on her Smart Phone. Never said a word to us. I dont know if I can go there again. I was embarassed as I told my friend what a great place it is. That girl should be fired!!!!!

Not the best Thai food Ive had. Im Asian and have had a lot of Asian food, so my standards may be a little high as far as flavor is concerned. The restaurant is well-furnished and big. However, its very quiet (we dined at around 3 PM on a summer Saturday) and awkward. The host that greeted us just didnt look too well. Honestly, he was probably sick. Anyway, we ended up ordering seafood salad, a salmon dish, and some kind of seafood stir-fry. My mouth watered when the food came out because everything looked so good. However, the flavors were so disappointing. Each dish was more on the sweet side. I like my food to taste well-balanced. We ended up not finishing any of the dishes and left unsatisfied.

This restaurant obviously draws a lunch crowd; we went there at 8:30 on a Monday night and were the only patrons. The staff were, however, busily producing a lot of takeaway, and prepping for the next day. We still got our order quickly. The food was delicious, well presented and served in ample portion. Quite simply, wonderful. I had the beef gai (salad) and Thai iced tea; my husband had pad Thai chicken and Thai iced coffee. We both had medium spiciness, and it was honest. Now on my list of favourite Thai restaurants!

Went there for lunch on a weekday. Hostess was awful. Took forever to get me a table, made me wait before taking my order, and when the food finally came, some parts were cold. Only had an hour for lunch, got there at 12:15pm, got to order 12:25pm, order arrived 12:47pm, had to pay and ask for a box when the food came because I was gonna be late for work. Left at 12:55pm, hostess looked at me and didnt even say goodbye. Not a good first experience. Not going back. Will ask friends to steer clear.

First time to this location and I have to say why the hell is every dish that i had order so sweet and nasty...not real thia food it is caterer to American people with no taste...i will never go back. I really wanted to call for a refund since I bearly even ate but knowing Asian people I know what my answer will be "Oh Im sorry we cant do that " i wasted enough of my time what a waste and I spent $53....

This is the best Thai restaurant that is convenient for me. Being in the South Rancho makes it quite accessible but always busy during lunch and after work etc. I usually get the papaya salad and Pad ke Mao noodles (broad and flat). The seafood dishes in general are excellent. It is probably the only restaurant where Id eat such spicy food. Highly recommend it based on taste, location and price.

Customer service sucked, no water refills the whole time there. The plate I ordered which Ive had at other places before was nothing of which it should be. Ordered some sticky rice and it was old rice which they just reheated. As soon as the rice cooled off it was almost rock hard. Asked for some hot sauce and they never brought it. Had to ask again halfway through my meal. Not going back

My third and last trip. Very slow, poor table help, and the food doesnt make up for it. The food is fine, but if you have a one-hour lunch window, its a challenge for them. Perfectly friendly staff- just ineffective. We entered at 12:05 with empty tables available. We were sat at 12:20, food at 12:45. Not ideal.

This place has great food for the price. It used to be a little better but for an $8 lunch you really cannot complain. Its always mobbed around 12-1 which is a good sign. It does lack a little consistency both on food and service but over all its great. Try the drunken noodles or the eggplant!

I specifically sought for this place because I had been to the same Sala Thai resto in the Philippines. Food is great as it is, but when we came the subsequent time, it tasted like the ingredients were hurriedly prepared or not as good the first time. Maybe the cook changed?

This place is close to work and I go here frequently. The food is really enjoyable and the prices are reasonable at lunch. Of late the service has been questionable. I have had issues with getting food in a timely manner and having to send food back as it is too cold

Had 2 dishes. Thai food is not foreign to me. Asked for the dishes to be very spicy. They were as spicy as grandmas banana pudding. There is a lot of flavor BUT it is just not on point. Food aslo was overcooked. Happy I tried it but wont be back.

A very inviting atmosphere and delicious food. They make it easy to order and ordering ahead is even available though an app. The only downside is that the parking in the area is fairly limited when it gets busy.

Two dishes not to be missed are their incredible chicken satay with yummy peanut sauce and the delicious duck curry. I cant wait to get to this place any time I travel this way. Excellent service and food.

Ive only had the curried lunch, and it was a good tasting lunch dish. Thai food is not a first choice for me, so it will never rank real high with me. This restaurant is a good choice for a change.

I highly recommend this place, the decor is nice and the staff is attentive. I like the food and feel its a good value - even if a little more expensive than average the quality is well worth it.
