Chill the #$@* out, Im giving a real review here! The Metro Ale House is tucked away into a part of Pomona most people probably dont even know exists! I say that with exclamation because this entire... Um.. community? Well, it wasnt there when I was a kid. So... Props for that. Food. If I had to guess Id say they use one fryer to fry them all? So my French fries tasted like my calamari, which tasted like the onion rings, and so on, and so forth. On one sense, my youthful sense, I was okay with that, but on my more refined sense, well that was an issue. Why? Because you are trying to be a swanky pub and you should have a fries, onions fryer and a fish fryer. Done. Wings. Ugh. Think they came out of the same fryer as my calamari? Also, overall, appetizers, frozen. Rubbery. Again, as a younger guy I would have enjoyed it, but Im forty something now. If you are doing to charge me 8 to 9 dollars, use a non frozen product! Burger. Okay, here they excelled. Got the street burger. Damn good. Only thing I would have done differently, mash the avocado into the bun. Make it stick. A little bit. Then add lettuce, sauces, etc. Dont put avocado into the sauce and make me fight with it during my... Fight... To keep my shirt clean. Avocado should always be slightly secured to the bun. Burger was the bomb. Reminded me of Bobs big boy. Downstairs scene was popping. Street level had comics on Wednesday. Pretty good. One thing Id suggest, miscarriage isnt funny. 80+℅ of pregnancies end in them. Most women dont even know they were pregnant. Many will tell you, I had this very large discharge. Because she was pregnant and didnt know it. So joking about it? Too many heart strings! Overall, if I was 21 to 38 Id be all over this place. At 45, Im good getting a burger and hitting the cigar joint down the way.

After a hard days work walking into The Metro is working persons dream. The summer has been well hot and the waft of air conditioned cool air, upon entering, will slap a smile on any saps face. Vanessa and Destiny are always there to greet you with a smile and "hello". Theyre both sweet, attentive and easy on the eyes. Happy Hour, 4 -7 pm, has got me drinking IPAs at 3 dollars a pop! They have at least 30 different handles and it looks like they have enough bottles to mix any drink you can concoct. The food is good with something for everyone. Burgers are about 12 bucks. And there are always different deals everyday. There are plenty of TVs showing all the sports and if its not on the channel you want, the girls are easy going and if you ask theyll tune in to channel of your liking. This place actually has more to offer than I even know about, but Ive brought a date here before to have dinner and we ended up dancing downstairs where they had a live DJ. So good food, good drinks, good service, good atmosphere....sounds like a win to me.

I WAS IN THE METRO ALE HOUSE & GRILL YESTERDAY JAN. 27, 2017 EARLY AFTERNOON. I SAT AT THE END OF THE BAR NEAREST TO THE FRONT ENTRANCE. I MADE EYE CONTACT WITH FEMALE BARTENDER, I SAT THERE 20 MINUTES WAITING FOR SERVICE. THERE WAS ABOUT 6-7 PEOPLE SITTING AT THE BAR AT THE TIME. I GOT UP AND LEFT. I WILL NOT GO TO THE METRO AGAIN. I WENT TO THE NEXT ESTABLISHMENT AND ORDERED 2 COCKTAILS AND ATE LUNCH THERE.

Huge space! Seating upstairs, ground level, AND downstairs, which also features are few billiards tables. Ive only ever been here with big groups of people, and theyve been able to accommodate us both times. Id definitely recommend their happy hour garlic fries!

Yeah , me and the wife are regulars. Great service, great staff, great variety of food, great drinks, great environment. And theres a basement level bars with a jukebox and some pool tables. Highly recommended.

My wife and I have been there a few times. And I was impressed with the food! My favorite dish at the moment is the "shrimp al diablo" amazing! Hot! And flavored to perfection! I recommend this place to anyone.

Food is good here on the ground level. The tavern below offers several pool tables. The fourth floor is a banquet hall. Usually very crowded and rowdy in the evening and weekends.

Downstairs gets a bit crowded because of the lack of space. Would like to hear some newer music. Instead of alot of throwbacks. Drinks are pretty good but are in small cups.
