I love coming here - its one of our favorite nights out. The quality of the ingredients is the absolute tip-top and I love that they freshen up their awesome menu with fresh items from their "market selection" menu. My favorite market selections so far have been the fried pepperoncinis and the fried avocado. Very rich, but very tasty and indulgent! I like that you can tell them how to cook your burger because I like my cooked medium and fewer locations offer that nowadays. Anyone that says they ended up with a dry burger probably ordered it well done, in which case, you deserve a dry burger! haha. Ive also ordered their chicken breast in place of a burger before and found it moist and flavorful. I love their fries (sweet potato and regular) and their onion strings are outta this world. They dont take reservations but they were VERY accommodating when we wanted to host a surprise dinner for my husband’s recent birthday. In fact, we were so impressed with the service and the way the staff accommodated all of our guests and all the different ways to settle the check (“I’m paying for her and her and myself, she’s paying for this person and so-and-so and so-and-so are doing this that and the other…”) that my husband and I tipped for more than the actual cost of the bill to show our thanks. I know that there are a lot of other build-your-own-burger places out there, but this one is my absolute favorite. Check it out yourself! It’s got the tastiest burgers EVER.

The Counter opened this location mid July 2010 and I am sad to say it took me two weeks to notice. Excellent food I had a 1/3 pound burger with pepper jack cheese, pineapple, honey mustard and onion. A side of fries and deep fried pickles. Friendly staff, we arrived about 10 minutes before the opened at 11am and received a warm greeting from the manager who took our food and drink order. After that we were delighted by the rest of the friendly and smiling staff who check in on us throughout our meal. Treat yourself to the best burger place in town, and ask to sit on the patio to enjoy a cool ocean breeze.

Best server Ive ever had. But the manager was rude. So I recently moved to an Irvine Company Apartment and they gave me this coupon booklet in my welcome basket. I decided to use the coupon but neglected to read the fine print since it just says discounted offer without any indication of having restrictions. It did though and admittedly this was my fault. The manager decided to honor it but came to my table while we were still eating and scolded me for it, she made it seem as if though Id been trying to get a free meal or steal. It was uncomfortable for the rest of my dining experience.

Have 45-60 minutes to kill waiting for food? This is the place to go! Place a order and prepare to stare at your phone. Consistently veryyyy long wait times, even when its not busy. Staff apologizes but doesnt seem to care and you feel their stress from the chaos. Great food, but if your committed to waiting for it. Not sure what the kitchen is like but they need to figure something out to be more efficient. Wish it was easier to get food from here, unfortunately I wont repeat unless Im avoiding traffic.

If you want a $25.00 burger, this is the place. Need I say more? The service can be but isnt always great because servers can be making $$$ with 15-20% tips and they understand that. I went with wife and 5 year old for burgers, the tab was $100.00!!! Newport Beach nouveaux riche. If you work hard for your money, you dont need to spend it here to impress some date. Go to the Golden Truffle instead, or Newport Landing, try the Swordfish kabob, great portion, same price.

My absolute favorite place for burgers. Try the make-your-own-burger option. If you know what youre doing, you can get a fully customized burger for under $13. Aside from the premium toppings (which are $1 each), you can add as many toppings as your little heart desires. Fries and onion strings are not included, but if youre willing to splurge a little extra, the onion strings are to die for!!

If you like overpriced hamburgers and lousy service then this is the place for you! Seriously, gave this place a second chance after being very disappointed the first time and received the same result. I live in the neighborhood and my family and I wont be returning to this place, nor would I recommend to my friends. Plenty of other places to get a great burger with good service.

Build-a-burger experience. There is almost too many menu options at this place! You can get many different types of burgers and all sorts of toppings. I think you can even get a slab of steak on there if you want - and then condiments of your choice. The sweet potato fries were great. Surprised this hasnt taken off.

waitresses were friendly and that sweet potato was nice but when the brought the burger, it was awful , dry and taste like carboard. That was my first and last time at this franchised. Thumbs down, I dont recommend it.

Hands down my favorite burger joint. You custom make the burger to your tastes, so how could you not like it? They use good ingredients, and have a huge selection. They also have really good milk shakes and fries.

Slow to get food out but a great place if you want to customize a burger. They offer you an entire page to do so. Also offers "adult" milkshakes, which sounds odd but really just alcohol in a shake.

Decent place but nothing extraordinary. Disclaimer: I usually only eat turkey burgers and theirs is dry. Have tried their sliders at HH which are decent but tiny and not really a good deal.
