So first off, the food is decent, but nothing to write home about. However, echoing some of the reviews below, the service is pretty poor. My family and I ordered three dishes and an appetizer (potstickers) from the older lady with red hair. After about twenty minutes she came to our table with a plate of spring rolls, placed it in the middle of our table and said, "Potstickers". As she walked away, my family all looked at each other with questionable looks on our faces and I asked, "Are we ok with these or do we want to send them back?" Everyone agreed that the spring rolls were ok so we began to eat them. (Honestly, they were pretty bland - no real flavor.) After about five minutes, the same woman walks by again, looks at our table, stops and begins to utter a "ohhhh..." sound (kind of a light bulb turning on moment where she had just realized she made a mistake). I looked at her and said, "Its ok, well eat these." Unfortunately, about a minute later, out comes the potstickers. So we ended up eating both even though we didnt order the spring rolls. But when the bill comes, the spring rolls were listed on the check as well. I called the red haired lady over to try to explain, but she stated that since we said they were ok and ate them she added them later to our bill. I attempted to explain that we didnt order them, and that she brought them out by mistake. I tried to get her to acknowledge her mistake and to remove the spring rolls from the check, but again she insisted that we ordered them. We figured it wasnt worth arguing over $8.00 and simply paid the full bill and left. So to sum up, the food is mediocre, but the service was pretty bad. If you do visit this restaurant, Id recommend double checking your bill as what our waitress did with us was a pretty sleazy way to increase our check.

TERRIBLE FOOD...STAY AWAY! My friend and I stopped by here one day last week for lunch. It was our first time in Napa and we didnt know about the awful reviews, otherwise we would have chosen another restaurant. First of all, no one else was there at 11:30a.m. Second of all, tons of sodium in the food that you couldnt taste anything else. Third of all, restaurant felt old and sort of crummy when you entered. Fourth of all, prices were ok and the tea was free...but isnt it always? Fifth of all, we took our leftovers home and my friends shrimps were GONE that she purposely left for her dinner later...what a RIPOFF...to REUSE someone elses food!!!! UGH!!! Sixth of all, mine reheated was just as awful and I ended up throwing it all out! Otherwise, we loved Napa and the two food shopping centers there on Trancas St. and entered our application at the local senior apartments there.

So I was hungry for some Chinese food after a long day and wanted to see what was considered good in town. I came across Mandarin on here and saw Daisys review and figured some pot stickers would be really good tonight... The pot stickers are worse than the frozen ones you can buy at Costco. There is way too much dough, the meat is tasteless, and the dipping sauce should be discarded right away. I also tried the sesame chicken. It tastes like its 5 days old and they reheated it in the microwave. Like chewing on rubber with a few sesame seeds sprinkled on top for good measure. To top things off, these two small sized dishes cost me just under $20. Absolutely not worth it! To finish on a positive note, the two employees were very nice.

We used to go there because we lived in the neighborhood and it was the only place in Napa that could be counted on to be open a little later AND on holidays (we went there at least once on Christmas, for instance.) But for the most part, I would have said the food was good enough but so-so sometimes, and the service was sometimes unenthusiastic. Now the food has taken a jump up in quality~their hot &sour soup rocks, and the pot stickers are excellent, which are the two ultimate tests of a Chinese restaurant, I think. Of course the prices have gotten a bit steeper~but hey, thats everywhere. Thats why when you go out, you need to go out somewhere good, because it costs.

I tried out this restaurant per the reviews Ive read. I was looking for the run of the mill Chinese restaurant with good food at reasonable prices. This place was not it. I went in on a Friday night and the place was baron. I ordered food for myself and Wife and it came out to $48!! Now I dont mind paying the premium for a good meal but the food was very average. Next time I feel like paying that much for a meal, Id rather pay a couple more dollars per person and eat at one of the many other FINE dinning restaurants in Napa.

Bad attitude! I bought $42.worth of take out, so while waiting I said to the lady, "I will need 5 fortune cookies with my food" and she said - "I give you 3 for free, and if you want more you buy 10 for #2.00" I couldnt believe it!!! I said, listen, you will give me 5 cookies as theyre not free - I PAID YOU OVER $40 DOLLARS. She said, "I give you 4.....ok, I give you 5." I thought if I had not already paid cash for the take out I would have walked out. Such a lousy attitude~~never going back.

Just a heads up no free refills on your crappy fountain drinks. Its $2 a drink. Awful service!!! They hardly come and check in once they get your order. The A.C. doesnt work. They have one little fan that barely blows any air. It was too hot to eat. Food is mediocre. Pretty sure I could have went down the road and got better food for the same price. It was worth a try. I waited 30 minutes to get the check. With only one other table taken. Watch them all stand around.

Hello, I was there with my whole family on Saturday, the service was the worse service I ever have in my whole life, I asked the service lady for my receipt and she give me a piece a paper with Chinese words that it was hard for me to understand, we were there for over an hour and she never come back to our table to check the service or to refill our water cups, after all they charge over $110.00 for a BAD SERVICE, I will never recommend anyone there or ever come back.

GLASS IN FOOD!!!! I dined there over the weekend (large takeout order) and there were multiple pieces of glass in the food. I have made multiple attempts to contact the management which they have completely ignored even though this meal could have killed us. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
