Lets face it, everyone who works in the area goes here because its somewhat quick and reasonably priced - but the foods nothing to write home about (the soup sucks-too much msg-, and everything is heavy and greasy, minimal meat, lots of onion, celery - the cheap filler veggies) and comes back to you an hour later) and the woman "Owner/Manager" is definitely not worried about customer service, since theyre usually fairly full during lunch. I was chatting while looking over the menu and decided to try something new - Im usually good at watching out for the spicy emblem, but not this time. My twice cooked pork arrives, I take one bite and realize its spicy, signal the only person in the vicinity-the female mgr/owner and say, "I didnt realize this was a spicy dish & I cant eat it, can I trade it for something else?" She says, "Now its wasted to me, no one else can eat it, its not my fault you order wrong thing, you have to pay and if you want something else..." I cut her off, and said, "never mind" and she jetted off. When I went to pay, for the very first time in my forty-odd years, I didnt leave a tip; she practically threw my card and receipt at me and didnt acknowledge us - unlike all the men she waited on before us that she was oh-so charming towards. Yeah, uh, we wont be back EVER.

Service quick. FOOD SUCKS. I ordered spicy chicken in garlic sauce, it tasted just like orange chicken . I couldnt taste any garlic in it, chicken was hard, not spicy and it tasted nasty. Soup sucked. Egg roll only had cabbage in it and super oily. Mongolian beef was descent. Singapore noodles very very oily. Quantity was good but whats the point.. didnt taste good at all...

How else can I describe food that sucks. The service is good if only they took the effort to pur the food on the same level. Its official the peoples republic of China kicked out China Gourmet for bad food. So they packed up and moved to Martinez offering lousy food. The American dream , keep working China Gourmet one day youll get it right.

I love this place. My wife and I come here regularly and the food is consistently great. Great staff! If I order "no MSG" they will follow through every time. It is the only Chinese restaurant where I dont get a migraine after eating the food. I highly recommend this place!!! :-)

This is great Italian food wonderful atmosphere. It is a bit pricey so we cant go as often as we like. But we will be back.
