We recently had a large group (20) to the Long Beach location for a dinner/meeting. The service was great. The food came quickly and was very good. We ordered pizza, wings, twistys, sodas, beer and salads, and all were great. They have a game room area, and a separate room for groups up t about 80 people. Close to the freeway and in a safe area, too. Ive read some of the other reviews, so I was kind of looking for problems. But the tables, bathroom & floors were all clean and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The owner was there, and has been for 18 years. Looking at the other reviews, it almost looks like they were written by another pizza joint - lol. But they are suspect at the very least - waiting an hour for pizza - with 3 other eateries within steps? riiiiight. Well be back for sure! Jon/Beach Cities Mustang Club

By far the worst Straw Hat Ive ever been to. I have gone to Straw Hat in Sacramento for 24 years and never ONCE COMPLAINED. they burnt our twist and Im dying of thirst after eating their pizza. Trust me this is a HORIBLE pizza place!!!!

I went here because my friends wanted pizza and it was on our way. There food hasnt changed since the 70s. Basic pizza, no thrills or frills. Why go here when theres so many better pizza places.

I didnt have an experience. You cant make food, have it take forever and then have it come out cold and the meal to only be mediocre. Straw hat will never be my destination again!

Nice little restaurant to bring the family to. They have really good pizza, a nice salad bar and even some arcade games for the kids to play. Great place for a family night out.
