A Whole Mole? I think living in Long Beach for awhile is a prerequisite to understanding these clever establishment monikers. But you neednt live here long to find Hole Mole (mine is on 4th St) and be very happy for the experience. I guess its some type of ethnic bias I have, but when I see blue collar Hispanics at every table, I feel things are gonna be okay. My tacos were more than "okay". They were like corn sarapes swaddling little morsels of carnitas in a blanket of salsa - just delightful to the last bite- half of which ended up on my tie. Further down 4th Street, the air gets a bit high-falutin but here on 4th and Nebraska, its like the cocina was opened just for you. The drinks are the usual soda fountain standards and nothing to really compliment the food. But you didnt come for a Mountain Dew, did you?

Went there twice in two days (that should be a good indication of how good the food was) once for taco tuesday and then again on wednesday. I simply had four chicken tacos and they were fabulous. Im pretty picky about the way my food is -I dont like any funky smells or colors or any stringy bits- and I was pleased to find none of those. The next day I had a burrito which was equally delicious. I would recommend this place! The horchata was a tad bit too sweet for my taste.

Its open late, so when you leave Ferns too buzzed to drive home, head on over to Hole Mole and grab a burrito and wait. But a fair warning, half of the parking lot is safe to park in, the other half will get you towed. There isnt much defining the area, but Hole Mole is kind enough to have a graphic on the wall telling you where is safe to park. Food is pretty good and reasonably priced. Also the only place I know where you can dump Gringo Bandito on your food.

Vegetarian tacos! Theyve got delicious & crispy potato or bean tacos. They are priced just right at $0.59 but they are pretty small. I can eat about 5 or 6 before i feel full. But Hole Mole has several locations and this one didnt put their red sauce on the tacos i got recently. It makes for a bland taco, luckily they provide a salsa bar so be sure to stock up before you get your food. I love Hole Mole!

Food is great but at times theres some weirdos around. I dont mind diversity but theres those type of different people, for example, I was there once and some guy ordered 1 taco and then went to eat all the flame grilled chillies while his taco was being made still. He literally stood there picking the chillies out of the container, eating them, then slurping on his fingers. Lol

Excellent cheap fish tacos! Not the best Ive ever had - but super cheap and yet still better than at least 95% of the ones out there. Good enough that Ill not bother searching further for good fish tacos when Im anywhere near Long Beach. Carne asada tacos were pretty good as well. Guacamole lacked something, but was worth getting and worked well on the tacos.

I love Hole Moles potato tacos. They are so good and cheaply priced. Havent had much else on the menu because i dont eat meat, but Id reend checking them out. Parking is OK, there is a lot in back you can usually find a space. The crowd that hangs around is a bit seedy, but I just walk straight in and order.

I ordered a carne asada burrito. And I got home and put some hot sauce on it. And the first thing I tasted was the carne mixed in with FAT !!! I hate tasting fat . And it screams to me cheap! To cheap to scoop out the fat. Or cut it off. Or whatever it is you do to ensure that it doesnt happen.

Food is hit or miss, the homeless and other trouble makers hang around outside harassing customers and assaults here are common. Do not give money or buy people Food, they will victimize you here,and the staff acts blindly to the trouble here at night and especially when ferns closes.

Inconsistency is the only problem here. One day the food is great, the next it can be inedible. I once got shrimp tacos that had batter shells with no shrimp inside! Im guessing that was an isolated incident but still.

Best bang for your buck. Wholesome authentic foods of both vegan and meat options. Tortas, Burritos, Tacos, Ensaladas, A La Carte, Jamaica, Horchata, Cervesa. Happy hour specials, Taco Tuesdays. Whats not to love?

I was hungry so I walked over to Hole. When I walked in the door there was a customer very upset because she had sat down to eat and mice came out of the alls to join her! That pretty much did it for me!

Good well looking food. But to be 100 % , that location is horrible for this place , couldnt really eat my food comfortably , due to homeless and mentally ill people asking for money and starring at you

Really tasty food at good prices. The service is fast and the cashiers are really friendly. Tbh, the area isnt that great but I havent had any problems. I eat here a LOT. Its always good.

Love the chicken mole burrito, chicken and asada tacos are also great..... tried the shrimp ceviche today, not a fan at all. Hardly any shrimp, almost all onion. Everything else was good.

Its at a good location. Its big with indoor and patio seating. Good salsa bar but the food quality isnt as good as the other locations. Sometimes the cooking oil needs to be changed.

This place is always fire! I used to roll with the asada burrito, a buddy of mine introduced me to el pastor and now thats the main. The most Ive ever waited here was 7 minutes or so.

As a vegetarian, they always put meat in you item and you have to threaten to sue just to get your $5 back. Only thing good here are the $0.50 taco... Strictly because of the price.

The staff is very friendly but the food is terrible. The rice is always under cooked and hard! The carne asada tacos will have flavor one day and absolutely no flavor the next day.

Woah, very hit or miss here. I love the fish tacos but after i got sick twice i think ill stick to non animal foods. Theyre burritos are delicious and the horchata is tastey too!
