I usually dont write reviews....but we had lunch last Saturday and the food was good as usual, and Service was average. My big issues is we paid with our never used gift card from Costo ($50), for our $21bill. We left some cash for the tip, but forgot our card and receipt in the binder and left. We realized what happened the next morning and returned to MiKasa to explain we forgot our gift card (it still had about a $30 balance), but was told to leave my number and the waiter would call me back. Well... 8 hours later, he returned my call and said no gift cards where left with any balance? I asked if our bill was paid using our gift card and was told yes...which is my issue. If my tab was covered and all gift cards had a zero balance, someone at the restaurant is a thief! Unfortunately, this has ruined us going to this restaurant in the future.

First time there very disappointed as i was looking forward to this place recommend by couple of friends. Service is awful... Never checked up on us for drinks napkins, or utensils. I ordered the DCS roll which was supposed to be crunchy deep fried...it was soggy n mussy...seemed to me like it was deep fried hours ago n refrigerated awful couls not eat it...my son had the fried noodles those were great!!! Other than that i will never be going back again...waitress was sweeping while we were trying to eat...oh n we all got our food at different times...really bad experience not what i expected

My family and I have been long time patrons of Mikasa since they opened. The owners are great friendly people and they really take care of their regulars and new customers. They do tend to get slammed during dinner time so I suggest to call ahead and make a reservation. Coming from the bay area I am use to good quality fresh sushi and they are the most authentic in the area. Their Tracy location is also great as well

The food of course gets 5 stars. I am a regular at this restaurant. Service is always top notch. Today lil guy decided to charge me extra for everything and have a huge attitude. Im allergic to red snapper and mackerel and this is the reason I go to this place. I have wonderful waitresses who takes care of me... always!!! Lil dude get 5 negative stars...------ restaurant gets 5 plus stars.

Ever since this restaurant opened, my family and I have made this our number 1 sushi spot, and it seems like its the same for everyone else in the area. The waits are never short if you go on the weekends, but the food is extremely worth it. Whether youre getting sushi, teriyaki bowls, or anything else they have, this is definitely one of the best places to grab Japanese food!

This is by far the best place anywhere around! The sushi rolls are HUGE and great. We had the volcano roll ( literally, it looks like a volcano) and the baked salmon dynamite roll ( fabulous). We ordered 4 rolls for me and my husband to share... That was WAY too much. We could have done with less, we werent expecting such large rolls. The price, the food, the people.GREAT!

The soups here are AWESOME however the sushi leaves a bit to be desired as its hit and miss w/ most of the time the sushi is warm and not chilled w/ fishy taste. Spicy chicken terri is GREAT and rice dishes are pretty good. In the winter or during a cold this is the best place to go and definitely would have soup year round if it werent so hot here. :-)

Very friendly service. A little dark, but a nice atmosphere. Very good sushi at reasonable rates. The Teriyaki Chicken was juicy and tender and the fried rice was not oily or greasy. I am no sushi pro and I dont know any of the names, but all the sushi I had was fresh tasting to me. Will definitely come here again when I visit Lathrop in the future.

I had a Tracy roll and a Rainbow roll. The raw fish was fresh. I spent 26 dollars so its not a cheap place. The rolls were large and very good. I was suprised that I was able to finish both rolls. It was a great late lunch and I probably wont need dinner now. :) staff was friendly and kept my water full.

First and last time here. The food is not wat u pay for and they bring out the food at all different times. And they try to refuse refunds. Im not going to pay for food Im not going to eat!!!!!!!!!!!!! I felt bad for the server the poor grl had no control of how the restaurant is run

Tasted like they added salt to the fish and had way too much rice on their rolls. The rolls also fell apart due to poor quality of rice. I dont know why Ive heard so many good thing about this place. Very mediocre. Maybe its because of their great service.

Mikasa is Amazing! My favorite role is the honey walnut double prawn. If you do not like seaweed you can substitute it with a soybean wrapper. I also love there Ginger Beef. Service is always good, but the best server by far is Carrie!!!

I live in Arizona but every year I come this way on vacation....Mikasa is one of my favorite spots to eat. After 6 year living in Scottsdale Az, I have not found a good sushi place as this! Love it! My favorite is the Honey Walnut Roll.

Wasnt the best service this time. Got my meal last had to send it back. Once it came back they have me a dirty bowl that had hard rice stuck to it and the Sukiyaki was flavorless tofu was Bland. Not very happy about tonight

Road trip from Medford, Oregon to Phoenix, Arizona - had some great food at Mikasa Japanese Bistro. The Jimmy Roll was fantastic, Salt and Pepper Shrimp delicious, and the sashimi was a knockout. It is a must try!!!

None better in the San Joaquin county. Since theyve opened weve tried almost everything on the menu and some not on the menu. Fresh, tasty, clean and extremely good service. What more can you ask for.

Today was my 1st time here. The size of the rolls were huge! I came from Tracy bcuz of friends high recommendations. I usually eat @ Kengos in Tracy. But this place gives bigger portions for less $$.

I have never in my life liked sushi, until mikasa that is. Mikasa has become my all-time favorite restaurant of all time. The only reason this is 4-star is because they arent great with reservations.

Great food. I love the atmosphere of the place. Its a great place to go for a date. The owner is very friendly and helpful. All the staff is great. And theres usually never too long of a wait.

I drive to Lathrop from Stockton just for the Sushi. Best Sushi in the area. Service is great. I know most of the employees by name and the portions are very generous. DCS roll is the best.
