-Saturday Night Review- What do expect in a dive bar in Hacienda Heights? A mix crowd from old to young, swanky to beach bum, and interior smoking?! Luckily, all the ceiling fans were on to disperse the smoke. There is live music every Saturday from 8:45PM and on. I would suggest getting to City Lights when the band starts if you want to grab a seat. There is NO FOOD served here, but City Lights allow outside food. They even offer a menu from delivery places! The live band is awesome and plenty of folks were dancing along with the tunes. Friday Night: switches every other week from DJ to Live Music; check calendar! I was also impressed how clean the bathrooms were (3 stalls). Its renovated to a modern bathroom, black toilets! Overall, I would definitely come back to this no cover charge, live music dive! The bill came out to be $40 after 5 drinks, cheap! Its spacious and clean for a dive bar, no intimidation. Its as good as it gets for a dive bar! PS two pool tables also available for fun and games.

It was our first time at this place. I feel like the dj that was there today was awesome! The people at the bar were chill and respectful of others. Although I had a terrible experience with the bartender. She was awful! She had a really bad attitude. Did not know how to talk to a customer and was disrespectful towards me. Its so unfortunate because the place lost a couple of customers because of that experience we had with her. She was an Asian lady who obviously did not like her job! I dont see any other reason why she would find reasons to be disrespectful towards your customers. I was glad the bouncer/ security was very fair and respectful to even want to understand my side of the story and I understand why the bartender was disrespectful from my perspective despite what he heard from her anyway. Its unfortunate that she was the reason we had a terrible experience at this place. If not we would have actually enjoyed the night.

I was at the bar last night it was a great place great service great staff great people all around good time like him old fashioned eighties night whats the best bar in been to in a long time I would recommend it to anyone who wants to just go to the neighborhood bar

Everyone smokes tobacco in here, which is illegal and I already called the city of los angeles. It was empty when I went Friday. Old regulars. Terrible bar. This place will be out of business real soon.. nice staff but no managers to be found.

Was excited to finally check this place out. A little to ghetto gangster for my liking. Any place that has to wand you down for weapons typically is the kind of place you get in trouble at. Friendly bar staff though.

The bar tender was so rude and their is a big sing on the wall that said No Smoking! But yet the bartender lights up a cigarette with her friends!! Oh also her friends brought a dog And were sitting at the bar.
