There is a lot of hype for this restaurant so my wife and I decided to have a special anniversary brunch here. We had relatively high expectations based on word of mouth and on reviews so it seemed like a good decision at the time. Our primary feeling after eating there, unfortunately, was disappointment. Key things that contributed to our disappointment: 1. Relatively slow and inattentive service. They were relatively busy but after we were seated we had to stand up and retrieve menus for ourselves after waiting a few minutes to receive one. We had to flag down waitresses a couple times for refills on coffee. Even after retrieving our menus we had to wait what felt like an above average amount of time to place an order. Time after placing the order and to receiving our food felt average so that is a plus. Towards the end of our meal, as my wife and I were enjoying good conversation, we were asked if we wanted our last cup of coffee to-go. We both asked for it to be for here (we had not been seated that long nor were there that many people waiting outside), instead we were given cups of coffee to go - the signal there was pretty obvious and not really appreciated since we felt like we were within the polite bounds of still finishing up our meal. 2. Luke warm food I ordered a mexican coffee up front and my wife ordered decafe. She received relatively hot coffee. My coffee though was lukewarm and borderline cold. That is a bad cup of coffee! To their credit, I called a waitress and she promptly gave me a new cup of coffee that was actually hot. At this point in the meal, this would have been something I overlooked, but theres more! For my entree I ordered pork belly eggs benedict with a side of skillet potatoes. The dish looked great! However, my potatoes were lukewarm and some were cold. The eggs benedict were slightly warm. I could have brought this issue up but at this point we had been there long enough and I just wanted to move on with my meal with my wife. Regardless this also hurts my review of this restaurant as well. I could see how IF the food was served hot to me, it would have been absolutely delicious, but served lukewarm (and some parts cold) it was merely OK. All that being said, if you come here when they are doing "good" then youll probably have a 4-5 star experience. I, however, dont think I will be coming back because of the experience we had.

Looking at all the reviews made me so excited to try this place. When I got there, the line was quite long, must be a good sign. Well it WASNT TASTY at all. I ordered three dishes, and was glad I didnt order more. Honesty, the best thing was the side salad. The MAXWELL MOF was oily and greasy, the sausage patty tasted like McDonalds patty that they put in the microwave. The CHICKEN and WAFFLE was okay, but the waffle was thin, and super soggy. It was so thin, I expected it to at least be crsipy. Lastly, I ordered the SALMON WAFFLE, it was so disgusting. The waffle was once again soggy, the salmon was powdery and tasted like it came from the supermarket. It doesnt taste fresh at all. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Save your money, save your time and save yourself from the unwanted calories that you will be subjecting your body to. BEWARE. LOOK IS DEFINITELY DECEIVING for this place.

Didnt enjoy anything we ordered, pretentiously made, nothing genuine or authentic about their food. It sucks to screw up a true classic like Chicken and Waffle, chicken cut into small strips instead of large juicy pieces on the bone, and the batter was horrible more fitting for frying livers instead of white meat. Waffle was again horrible, incredibly greasy, not fluffy, out of shape too. They probably pan oil fried it instead of making it correctly. The food was so pretentious, had no taste, greasy (hiding the small portion and high calorie with Salad greens on top was supposed to do what?), and way too expensive for small portion. Ppl in CA have no idea anymore how to eat or cook classic American dishes so this type of junk joint gets away with it. Charge the money if you can make it right, having no taste and being extra greasy is just bad.

I had a great breakfast at Early Bird. The location is in a strip mall, but the decor is nice with exposed trusses and contemporary and clean furnishings. The kitchen smell was a little strong, but thats to be expected with an open floor plan. On a busy weekend morning, expect to wait 30 minutes or so for a table. I had the El Guapo omelet with chorizo and it was excellent. The egg was a little thick on the end where it was folded over, but the flavors were perfect. The coffee was also really good. I would highly recommend this place for any breakfast fan.

Long wait. Once seated, the service was fast and friendly. Good job on the customer service! I ordered "The best fried chicken sandwich" with an order of the breakfast potatoes. I wouldnt go out of my way to recommend this sandwich. Just lacked flavor and creativity. Potatoes were fried and very oily with no memorable flavors. Overall the food was bland to average across the board. I do love and adore potatoes, so I did box them up to go and will doctor them up at home. Maybe add some salt or seasoning. Possibly a hint of rosemary would be nice.

Love this restaurant. Totally awesome. Came to celebrate my passing NCLEX with my fiance and this restaurant never fails to satisfy. Pork belly eggs Benedict and the carnitas chillaquiles were again super delicious. Not to mention the great new mimosas raspberry and blueberry were killer! If you havent tried Early Bird I recommend coming early, the wait can be horrible but so worth it when your belly is full.

Worriable experience. Never go back there again. Girl at the front counter was not happy and rude. Attitude while placing my order further annoyed at me when callenged with processing payment on my debit card/its older and magnetic strip sometimes does not cooperate. Lastly, found something gross in my food that is not suppose to be there. At this point, Im not sure if intentional or by mistake.

We have been here a dozen times and it was great until today. I noticed that the owner and manager had changed. Ordered wheat toast, got sourdough. Ordered hash browns, got soggy, greasy pan cooked French fries. The sausage patty was pre-cooked and must have been held in grease. They changed the grind and seasoning, I needed a knife to cut it. Never again. YUCK.

service was excellent, quick & the food was delicious! i also ordered an earl grey tea with honey and cream and that was also delicious -- so much so that i wanted to go buy earl grey tea bags to re-create it at home for the colder days to come! our wait time was about 30 minutes for arriving around 9:30am on a Saturday morning for a party of 3.

“Outstanding evening and service” We were a group of 13 having a retirement party dinner. Our waitress, Valerie, took care of all of our needs very efficiently, ensuring no one was waiting for anything they needed or wanted. The food was very well prepared and the portions were not too small like you might find in some high end restaurants
