Came on a busy weekend in July, ordered chili cheese fries and chicken waffles to go. It took 30 minutes... The rest of my party ordered elsewhere in the Packing district and got their food, ate dessert and finished their meal well before we started ours. The chicken part of the waffle felt like it was sitting around for a while; no longer more than a bit warm. While the chicken was moist, very little of it was provided given the price and the weight - basically all things considered. 2 Nuggets of chicken, and looked nothing like the professional photos. I mistaken them for the chicken nuggets you buy frozen - just bigger. I wish they just told me, we ran out of chicken may we suggest something else? See my picture... (Interesting thing is for around the same price, also that weekend, I got a significantly bigger and better chicken entree at Universal Studios in Harry Potter land. I would have never guessed it - at a theme park!) The chili cheese fries were great, except for the beans which I felt could have been cooked longer. Id say skip this place unless your entire group is joining you. People got tables at Georgias faster than we got our food. Skip the chicken waffles...

Georgias sells itself as "Soul Food," and, looking at their website, I was pleased to discover that, yes, the concept originated with a Black woman. So, in this case, the soul food paradigm hasnt been totally co-opted. That said, the business finds itself located in a glorified food court that very clearly does not cater to the Black community so it remains to be seen how much "soul" gets demonstrated in the actual implementation. On my visit, I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. The fact that the sauce had the flavor and consistency of a sloppy joe made it somewhat disappointing. On the other hand, the meat was relatively tender, and the real highlight was the excellent "organic" brioche bun. (Pause so you can join me in rolling eyes at "organic".) The fries were likewise great, but the greatness of the bun and the fries cant really overcome the tragedy of the sauce. Summary: Georgias may have sold its soul.

On a Friday lunch it wasnt packed so there pretty much was no wait. I ended up getting the Grilled Chicken Sandwich. In terms of price and portions it aligns with the price. For me, there nothing special or stand out about it. Chicken was a bit on the dry side to my liking. The french fries werent hot either, they were about room temperature when I got them. It makes me wonder if the fries were chilling under a not so warm heat lamp since it was a slow time. The bun was everything though, it made up for the dry chicken and room temperature fries. My friend got the Chicken Pasta and she seemed to like it so theres that too. Next time I think Ill go for one of their specials.

The garlic fries were perfect since I dont like overly fried grease sticks. I ordered them light on garlic and they were just right and not too sour. The disappointment was with the sliders, which I asssumed would be a little larger in size for the price compared to other restaurants. I know its an appetizer but if I had just ordered one slider for the cost of $2.95 I would of called it an appetizer instead of a slider. Good thing I ordered the trio at $8.95. Ill still come back because I want to try the rest of their menu when I have a woofy appetite. Btw, fyi, the complimentary cornbreads are only free with a dinner order, guys. Not like lucilles.

I ordered the fried chicken plate through Post mates app for $10 . It came with 2 pieces of chicken (leg and wing), 2 sides (i chose mac & cheese and black eyed peas), 1 cornbread and a drink. The chicken was on point and wasnt dry and was full of flavor. The mac & cheese was very mac and cheesy and the black eyed peas were flavorful and not too salty . Both sides were overflowing from the side compartments of the Styrofoam plate which were a plus in my book . The cornbread was a little burnt and hard but overall mainly edible. The drink i got was cherry Nikolai which was sweet and not watery . Overall 4.2/5.0

Hi went to your place at the packing house. August 23.2014. Your tables in your area are not clean but sticky. I ordered the tri tip with mac and cheese the noodle were all broken and the pasta and cheese were dry and it was like eating a hard scoop of ice cream and im talking about a small portion. The rice is also a scoop. It taste like paste with garlic. The meat was not tender at all. My boyfriend had the friend chicken it tasted like burnt oil. The food tasted bland. Not only to top it off it was pink. My boyfriend got diarrhea from the food spent the night on the toilet.

Love this place...the owner is often around and is a joy as shes the most wonderful lady youll ever meet. The cornbread is perfect, and I usually get the grilled chicken sandwich with garlic fries and it never disappoints. The chicken has a nice char-grilled flavor, the bun is always fresh, nice fresh veggies on top...just the perfect lunch. My wife loves the tri-tip sandwich, especially the pesto sauce they add, and the coleslaw is the best shes had. I havent had anything else, but the fried chicken is very tempting. Just go, you wont be disappointed, trust me ;)

We had dinner here to celebrate my best friends birthday. We had a late reservation but they didnt rush us. A complementary mouse shape chocolate mousse was presented to the birthday girl with a candle. The chocolate was fantastic. At our table we had the prime rib, bone in ribeye, and short ribs. All of our cuts were done well. Our favorite side was the risotto. Our least favorite appetizer was the land and sea tartare a little too salty. Onion soup was done right just the right amount of sweetness. The best visual was the 24 layer chocolate cake.

I went to Georgias today and the customer service was excellent. I ordered the BBQ chicken sandwich with fries, it was flavorful and delicious. The onion straws on the sandwich were tasty, and the fries were seasoned and yummy. I also ordered a side of Mac n cheese, it was so creamy and cheesy, the best Ive ever had. The complimentary cornbread was great too. Ill definitely be returning to try the other delicious looking menu items. Ill be recommending this place to friends and family. 5 stars.

The food here is amazing! I went on a weekday night and had no issues with the wait (pro tip: the packing district gets crazy on the weekends, expect waits - especially Sunday) If you want a nice night with amazing food, go on a Thursday! The food here and service was amazing. I ordered chili cheese fries and they were heavenly. I would go back! The packing district definitely has a hipster feel to it, just try to avoid the crowds when you go!

Some of the Best Soul Food Ive had from a restaurant in a very long time. This is coming from a true Georgia girl. The collard greens, Mac and Cheese, and wings were very good. My friend had the catfish. She said it was good and cooked just right. The food was fresh and hot - so expect to wait a few minutes for your meal. I will be back...
