My wedding was at San Dimas Canyon Golf Course, and they have a package deal with Some Crust where the cake is included in the wedding package. I chose to have cupcakes instead, with a small "top layer" cake. I had carrot cake with cream cheese frosting for the top layer cake, and then I had four different choices of cupcakes: carrot cake, pound cake (with a strawberry on top), raspberry lime, and mini cheesecakes. Everything was delicious!! I also loved that as part of the package, you can go back for your first anniversary (doesnt actually have to be on the exact date) and get the same top layer again - or you can change it up if you want - for free! No need to keep cake in the freezer. :) The only thing I didnt like: I was able to sample a few cake flavors with the wedding coordinator person, who sat there extremely patiently waiting for me to make decisions. It was nice that she was patient, but I remember (this was in 2014) it being really weird...she didnt offer any tips, any suggestions, any...anything. She just stayed quiet the whole time, only saying facts. But anyway, then when I decided I wanted cupcakes, I wasnt able to sample their cupcake flavors for free, so we actually had to buy some to decide what to order.

We used SomeCrust Bakery for our wedding cake (and groom’s cake). This bakery is great!! We continue to have guests comment to us about how delicious our wedding cake was. We had four layers, each one was a different combination of cake and frosting. My only regret is that we were not able to taste two of the layers (too busy dancing). We also custom designed the look of the cake. Each layer had a different design/texture. We were worried that the cake would not come out how we envisioned it, but it was absolutely stunning! My groom’s cake was the best. I am a diehard Green Bay Packers fan, and I wanted my cake to reflect this. It came out great! The cake looked like a football field, with PACKERS spelled in the endzone, and an oversized football with the Packers logo on it in the center of the cake. With how great the cake looked, I would not have cared if it tasted like garbage, but it was delicious too! SomeCrust is FANTASTIC!

Let me start by saying this is the most delicious bakery we have in Claremont. It is really, really good, the quality of the baked goods they produce are the best. I personally enjoy the savory "cheese and chile croissant" and/or the "blueberry-cheese danish," yum! Although, the workers behind the counter are not all that friendly. Nor are they the quickest people when serving you or more importantly the people in front of you. Now if you have ever been to Some Crust in the morning when there is a line out the door, you understand what I mean by saying they are not "the quickest people when serving the people in front of you." All negatives aside, it is really a great bakery as the quality of their products are second-to-none. I have really enjoyed almost every single baked-good I have ever tried there.

I have mixed feelings: unique, yummy, local breakfast crowd. But: dont bring your laptop (student, faculty, or travelling businessperson like myself) because they dont have internet access. Seriously. I really love to support local coffee shops when I travel for work, but you wonder why we always end up at Starbucks? Free wifi is a big attraction. Yes, Some Crust is great for conversation, coffee, and treats but I was disappointed I had to leave and go to Starbucks so I could get some work done on the road. I love to support the local places but had to leave. Friendly, tasty, but not being connected in 2015 was disappointing.

I happened to be in the Claremont area to visit the Santa Ana Botanic Gardens yesterday. This place looked cute and there was a long line of patrons for the bakery, so I figured Id try it. Sadly, the name doesnt fit the goods - it should be Missing Some Crust! The rolls I got had no chew or crisp outside, so they mightve been stale. Pastrami sandwich was overwhelmed by the sour note of the mustard so I couldnt taste the meat (save for the saltiness). Cookies were overly sweet and overpriced compared to other bakeries. They have a nice brand of tea though, so I might just come in for that in the future.

Been here before to have sandwiches. Long wait but they were good. This time got the frozen Italian Quiche to eat at home. Last night 4/29/16 followed instructions on label. Parchment. And checking after 40 minutes. Cooked over an hour. Quiche was quite brown but very watery and tasted off. Water was pouring off. Cheese tasted not good. Called to complain. They said we must have under cooked it. It was dark brown. Offered no replacement or other remedy. We live over an hour away or would have returned it. Will not go back.

A total MUST if you come to Claremont. It is so worth the trip. I highly recommend going with friends to try more slider combinations than you can actually eat. Their raspberry chocolate croissant is my personal favorite. However, you truly cant go wrong with any and all of their baked goods. The gluten free chocolate cake is also really good. This place is a staple of the Claremont Village!

At one of their least busy times of the day they took my money then told me I had to wait 30 F***ING mintues for 2 egg sliders!?!?!?!? Im sorry, are you waiting for chickens in the back to lay the eggs and baking the bread in the spot from scratch?!?!?! Your staff sure has enough time to carry on irrelevant conversations and check their damn smartphones! LOSERS WITH A CAPITAL L!!!!!!!

Yeah... after coming to Some Crust Bakery, you will no longer think your grandmother is the worlds best baker. It quite simply is the best bakery I have found in Southern California. Oh, and it is CHEAP too! Be sure to try the egg or hot dog sliders - you can get one plus a huge pastry for only a few dollars. Tip: bring your student ID (Claremont Colleges) and get a discount!

Some Crust is my all time favorite bakery in Claremont. They have incredible coffee and delicious bakery items. It is typically busy so make sure you have the time to wait in line. Anything you get, you wont be disappointed. I do highly recommend their "sliders" they are worth the wait.

Throughout my four years at the Claremont Colleges, my weekend routine consisted of regular visits to Some Crust Bakery for their infamous "Breakfast Sliders." The food is always good, their selection is fabulous and they tend to attract a more lively crowd. I highly recommend it!

The Almond Croissant is delightful. It has the perfect crunch and savory sweetness. Ive heard wonders about this place and they are all accurate. For some items youll want to get there early, or call ahead and they can hold items for you briefly (indefinitely if you pay by phone).

Love the espresso chocolate cookie, like in love and want to have a serious relationship despite what our parents think-love that cookie. Special shout out to the almond drop fruit cookies and the Lemon Cupcake with the lemon curd in the middle. Everything is so fantastic!
