Our oldest son received BS/P thru online program at University of Phoenix last year- our son is in early forties. he chose this restaurant. We were seated far left corner when drink came my son drink was totally not prepare correct. Our son went to the bar/ mgr looking on showing the so called bartender how to prepare the drink correctly. Meanwhile my cottage cheese came 20 minutes before our food came. Our server left our table, went over to the large party within 10 feet of our table.Mgr came over saying he was sorry for the service. Entire meal cost us "ZERO". We went outside and talked to my wife of 42 yrs and my son, I would not talk to him. Later on we went to celebrate at "TEXAS LONGHORN" up the same street they deserve 5 ++++++++++++++++++++++ rating, since has gone back, rating same 5+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++. Year ago I was employed by the Hyatt Corporation, Food/ Dining Department Position: First Executive Steward. I took on the challenge, reduce cost and turnaround. Proud of what I accomplished. I have a bet with Elephant Bar, how would you like to reduce: turn overs, labor, etc by 30 %. "Consultant-1099". Since retire from State of California : Employment Development Department including three years on a special project. This project was completed and under budget. Earned my BSBA University of Phoenix Class of 2000, working 60 hours per week. 1967 USN Vietnam Veteran- served on first crew of USS SANCTUARY AH 17 Hospital Ship, engineering.

I have been to the Elephant Bar on Arden, it gets 5 stars, this one, on Sunrise Blvd, barely gets two stars. It was a few months ago my boyfriend and I had dinner here, it is very difficult to get him to try new places and this kind of food and service is why! The only reason Im writing about it now is because I was trying to decide what to have delivered and Elephant Bar popped up. Anyways, I ordered the Farmhouse Chicken, I remembered how delicious it was at the Arden location. I dont remember what my boyfriend ordered but I definitely remember mine! The chicken was great but everything else was disappointing. The new potatoes that were supposed to be under my chicken were in fact one of the most nastiest tasting, straight out of a T.V. dinner kind of potato fries I have ever eaten. I have had better fast food potatoes. The gravy was cold and so was the service. I asked our server what was up with the potatoes. He told me that they were always served with that meal. I knew better. It took for ever to order a second round of drinks so my boyfriend went ahead and order us two each, knowing how long it would take. I will not be going back to this location thats for sure!

My wife and I went on a waiting list for dinner. We get a pager and sit on the bench next to the hostest. We were told 20 minutes and patiently wait for an hour after seeing a few people seat before us that came after us. I asked the hostess how soon we can sit. She stated that the pagers were not working and they called our names. We never once heard our names, we sat directly next to her, and why would she give us pagers that didnt work. We walked out and will tell everyone why we will never go to this place again. I have NEVER been fustrated with an business establishment as much as I have been with this place.

Been coming to Elephant Bar for years and service has always been excellent. Guess management must have changed because my latest experience was horrible. Arrived to an empty bar around 9:00 pm. Three people behind bar yet service was slow, and entire area had not been bussed. Had to move dirty dishes from an area of the bar where we sat. Ordered food but server chose to talk to others behind the bar rather than place order. Server took a very long time to cork bottle of wine we ordered because she was to busy talking to coworkers. When we left the bar had still not been bussed.

I have eaten at Elephant Bar dozens of times, and really like it. The food is always good, as is the service in most cases. There is a reason it is busy: It is consistently good. My wife and I share a dinner, and we end up spending just about what it would cost to dine at a pizza parlor. We avoid going there on Friday and Saturday nights because it is crowded. The menu is extensive, so there is always something that sounds good.

The elephant Bar is a decimated version of its former spectacular one of a kind restaurant. The current owners have stripped its wonderful and unique menu..now.not far from a Dennys. Once brimming with chatter and packed with customers waiting to get in...its like an empty bowling alley. Its sad...why buy the best and throw the best away. The server was very nice and the salmon was delicious but potatoes and veggies were cold.

We had a party of 14 and were given 1 server who was new. We sat down at 6ish our order for appetizers was taken at almost 7 pm. Then our dinner was brought out at almost 8 pm and it was just o k. It was a birthday dinner and so we ordered a dessert. We finally got our bill, which want sperated as requested, at about 8:45. I have had much experiences and was very disappointed this time around.

This place is bad, Ill never go there again. I ordered a shot, the glass was so filthy, I had to send it back. When they brought a new shot, same thing. We ordered coconut shrimp and sliders, both sucked. I think We got food poisoning because Im at home now with a terrible stomach ache and my date is at her house with the same symptoms...

Always a local favorite. The local market is bringing some competition however and it seems employee turnover and age of the venue are taking a toll. The food is good and the prices range from fair to expensive. I hope they will pay attention to the details a little more. Increase speed of service and education of menu.

Went with 3 other people. They were done eating before I was serves my sandwich. The waitress brought me a small plate of fires thinking that would cover up her mistake. It actually did the opposite by irritating me more. Lucky the manager didnt charge us for the sandwich.

Good food and friendly service here. I enjoyed my chicken sandwich, and my friend liked her pasta Alfredo with chicken and shrimp (both pictured). Entrees average 12 to 15 dollars. The ambiance is quite nice, and the menu is varied, with a good cocktail selection. Recommended.

My favorite restaurant. My hubby took me here for my birthday and it was fantastic, but the waiter was not doing his job. Its almost like we were nonexestant. Lol, but this was a wonderful birthday. Here with my hubby Craig Settlemoir and our best friend Marci

Quality of food has seriously declined. Their teriaki chicken which my son always ordered wasnt good at all and the two beef dishes were mediocre. My salmon was excellent though. We will probably find a different "go to" place after all these years.
