Waitress were great. View was very nice. It was a very cold morning and the door to patio was constantly opening and closing. Many times just left open. The wind would blow in. Made a food cold a little after receding it. The food was below average. My sisters plate was greasy, mine had no flavor at all. The bathroom had urine, fresh and old, all over the bathroom floor. It was a very cold morning, they could nave closed their tiny patio so that the cold wind would not blow on all the customers that were inside. At least until it warmed up outside.

You must stop here if you like music. Small intimate dance floor, but cascade of talent, different each time Ive been here, always great. I didnt realize it, but other reviewer says they serve food... who knew? Would give 5 stars, but one bar tender has an attitude. The short guy is cool and made us feel welcome, the taller slender guy, made us feel unwelcome or "not local"? maybe?

The Sandbar is the #1 bar in the Capitola Village. We love the bartenders and the waiters/waitresses! The owners have really turned this place around, it just keeps getting better .The cooks are amazing and the food is on point, perfect for by the beach drinking a nice cold brew! The music is funky and rockin with tons of different styles. Love this place!!

No refill on $2.76 coffee. Hash browns were white,not golden brown, in picture. Waitress brought wrong Eggs Benedict, atlantic salmon versus "regular omelette". Got a discount, but NOT RECOMMENDED. And next door to Paradise, voted #1 "bar area only" Happy Hour for drinks and food. The Capitola Esplanade should have really high standards,yes?

Walked in, picked a seat and waited for at least 10 minutes before talking to a waitress. Normally thats not a problem, but the place was nearly empty. The food was overpriced for the quality as well. No flavor in my meal or my 2 friends. Overall, I experienced bad service and my food was not worth the price.

Would have given 5 if they still had the " Best Calamari Sandwiches" the new owner advised they will bring them back... We shall see. We used to travel from SF Area once a month for those....We brought guest from Texas,Chicago,Nevada & Washington there... Please bring them back.. ❤

Food was expensive, mediocre and the service sucked. The lady forgot to bring the bloody Mary, brought the food and asked if we still wanted it or if we wanted to take it off the tab. Not even a apology. Never again.

Small dive bar right on the beach in Capitola village. Ocean views from the back deck are divine. Tables inside are moved to one side when live music acts perform. Small dance floor but still a lot of fun.

Miss the Fog Bank. Stopped by here the other day. Worst bloody mary I think I have ever had. Good breakfast though. But if you are looking for a bloody mary, avoid this place, and go to the Wharf House.
