Meal was average. Service was ok. The waiter didnt try to promote or make any suggestions unless directly asked. We were a party of 2 for our Saturday date night. We started with Minestra di Vegetali (minestrone soup) and Verda Mista (Mixed salad). Split the Linguine al Pesto. Each had the Bistecca di Manzo al Pepe (Charcoal broiled New York steak, served in a red wine and black pepper sauce.) with a scoop of mashed potatoes and sauteed mixed veggies. Overall, food was warm. Nothing was piping hot. Soup, pesto and mashed potatoes and veggies were bland. They dont serve beer.Wait time between courses was slow. Didnt connect with the waiter (like you do at Sapore Italiano Ristorante - they love making suggestions and ask what you enjoy to eat to help plan your dining experience). Didnt order dessert or after dinner beverages. Before tip, bill was $91. For that price, Ive had a much better dining experience elsewhere (this is the second time being here. First time, last Spring, it was pretty much the same).

We were in the area on business and chose Cafe Figaro for our Saturday night meal. I was pleased that we could get a last minute reservation, especially when I saw how crowded it was. The food was very good and even better considering the price. The pour on my second glass of wine was especially generous. Some might consider our service fast (we were in and out in an hour and 15 minutes) but we were happy because we were able to catch the last trolley back to the hotel. NOTE: If you are staying in the area be sure to use the free trolley service between select hotels and area restaurants. Had I learned of it earlier I could have saved $30 in cab fares.

The hostess did super! The house breads were sad. But the clam chowder was too thick, in my opinion. Not much range of flavors. The calamari was hard, dry, and peculiarly highly spiced. Worst. Ever. Just had it at La Collina and it was perfect. The tortellini sauce was also too thick, tasting of flour and overpowering the meat stuffing. The green peas were hard, dry and not at all fresh. The place was packed, and the couple at the door raved about their tilted slabs of steak and her chicken with sauce on pasta. Obviously, i goofed again !!

Barbara - I ate here on 4/24/12 . It was my first time in Burlingame and this cafe caught my. Cozy, warm and intimate. The staff was shorthanded but that didnt stop them from giving quick, superb service. They were very friendly and the food was outstanding. I had the Fettuccine Alfredo and it was delicious. I couldnt help but think, as I was eating it, that if only Olive Garden could make their fettuccine half as good! I will definitely come back to Cafe Figaro next time I am in the area. You should eat here!!

Cafe Figaro is my favorite restaurant on the peninsula. I love the food, the ambiance and the service. It is the perfect place to go if you want a nice romantic dinner or if you want to celebrate a special occasion like a birthday or anniversary. Truly a classy place to eat at, with classy service, coupled with a relaxing and romantic environment. The wine is good too!!!

My friends and I happened to see this restaurant while staying at a Hotel nearby. I was surprised to see how this little family like restaurant be so good and warm. I had the best Fettuccini Alfredo of my life in there. My friends ordered other dishes and all were happy of eating there. Next time I am nearby, I will definitely go there again. I love this place!

When I lived around the corner from this restaurant I felt so fortunate to have this little family style, with great food and so reasonably priced so close. This was 19 yrs. ago. Im back in town and have been coming back for months now and my friends are taking their friends and love it. I plan on having a lot more better meals from now on!!

This place was a lovely experience. I took my family who met up with me in San Francisco and everyone (from picky to adventurous in palate) enjoyed their meal. I devoured my nappa cabbage salad. The best thing about this restaurant is the excellent and gracious staff. I would recommend!

Better than any higher-end restaurant in town. A fun atmosphere with happy clientele and wait staff. Everything was delicious. Four of us cleaned our plates, but were able to fit in some amazing zabaglione. Great food, great service, great staff, good prices. Cant wait to get back.

We are from out of town and decided to stop here... the food was amazing and reasonably priced (try the penne con pollo). They serve bread with dipping oil that is phenomenal. The staff was all very friendly and the restaurant had a great vibe and feel to it. Highly recommended!

Great italian restaurant close to SFO and airport hotels. My family visited on a Sunday night and enjoyed a kid-friendly pacing of antipasto, salad, and shared dishes. All (especially the seafood fettuccine - "Adriatica?") were delicious and the staff was friendly.
